Definer - Popup Translator and AI Dictionary Extension

Great language extension! I'm learning a new language right now, and it's really helping me. It's really working well. Thank you!

Very satisfied with it! I use it for my own personal dictionaries, for dictionaries that have no pop-up extension apps, by only using Google Spreadsheets as the source file! Now all I have to do to translate obscure words is double click a word, and it'll translate for me. Definitely recommend it!

This is fantastic! I added a thesaurus to one of the custom sources, and it's working so well. Perfect for me and my kiddos to learn new words and expand our vocabulary at a click of a button. Thank you!

can you make definer remember translated words (history of words)

It was a protect tool for me, but not able to use it anymore. Would you please provide an option to choose whether to use the "/responses" endpoint or not? I set OpenAI as the provider to use an OpenAI-like LLM service, but they do not support this endpoint.

This exstension has improved my web experience a lot. But i just hope there wouldn't be annoying payment requirements... don't ruin this excellent thing!

When using the Arc browser with a specific extension enabled, I’m unable to sign in to platform.openai.com via Google. I get the following message: “We ran into an issue while authenticating you. If this issue persists, please contact us through our help center at https://help.openai.com.” Disabling the extension resolves the issue. Might be worth looking into compatibility.

It's working perfectly. The only issue I have is that when I open the Google search window, Google's AI Overview option appears for a split-second, before disappearing from the I-frame. This happens to me in Brave browser. Please fix this, because this extension is otherwise very useful.

Awesome extension! It's comprehensive and significantly improves my reading experience and access to non-native language materials. It would be even better with vocabulary.com and etymonline as sources.

Such a fantastic extension! Very smooth, very concise and clean, and exactly functioning as a dictionary and translator. I wish I can pay for it! But it only accept cryptocurrency, which I don't have. That is the only downside!

It's a neat extension. I'm used to using Look Up feature on Mac, which isn't a built in feature on Windows. This extension did exactly that.

I have one small feature suggestion that I think could make it even better: would it be possible to add a highlighting feature, similar to what the Chrome extension Web Highlights offers? I often highlight important content while reading online, and it’s incredibly convenient when those highlights are saved and reappear whenever I revisit the page. Your app is just perfect! I tried to find one which can make translations with ai, as well as give me definitions, but it giving far more then i expected, it was such a pleasure to see youglish in there! And all those configurable options! And it's design is so nice. It would be even more great if you would add tatoeba site by default, with configurable option on amount of words for an example sentese to include based on selected word. (https://tatoeba.org/en) and it would be nice to have forvo as well for audio from natives (https://forvo.com/) But actually, it's already such a great helper extension, can't even think about better option! An amazing dictionary tool. Quite literally the best I've ever used. It doesn't just look up words, it can be used to look up entire phrases and slang terms. And setting up hotkeys makes this tool super easy and convenient to use. I don't know what I ever did without this!

I really like the extension and have been using it for almost a year I think. But recently google search option has been giving me the "I'm not a robot" checkbox page and it never goes away even when I check the checkbox

Can't make double tap to define feature for PDFs. yeah, I gave it permission for url files. hopping for you to look into it Otherwise, an excellent extension.

This extension is a god send! I was getting really annoyed with Google's Dictionary so much so that I planned on making an extension myself, lol. After being frustrated enough from Google Dictionary extension, I came across Definer. This is what I wanted and more.

It's a simple, easy-to-use yet very customizable extension! I wish I could change the icons for my custom sources, whether to choose one from Material Icons, to fetch the favicon from the website, or just to let me specify the URL myself.

I've been using Definer for months and so far, it's the most satisfying Chrome extension I've tried. I just wanted to thank you for creating this tool. As someone who easily loses focus, this extension has been a tremendous help in keeping me engaged while reading and looking up information I'm unfamiliar with.

This is SOOOO helpful, I love it the way it is. But would you be able to adjust the text size on the bubble as well? Not just the bubble.

This is a jaw dropping improvement in productivity for language learning. It is amazingly customizable which means whatever source you need can be added and displayed painlessly. I used to try to stitch multiple extensions together and I still wasn't able to display as much as Definer does all by itself in a compact usable interface. No more copying and pasting stuff to your dictionary of choice!
