Description from store Search the web without opening a new tab at the instant you select text on a page. Fetch definitions, translations, and examples from multiple sources in multiple languages at the same time. View results in a small pop-up bubble next to the selection area. Or search from extension's popup window by typing the query, instead of selecting it on a page. Customizability is a priority, so in options app you can configure: ⚙️ Bubble activation Configure how and when to trigger bubble to pop-up. Completely disable or enable bubble on certain pages by creating flexible URL rules. Extension icon will turn gray when the bubble is disabled on the active page. ⚙️ Sources Results are being fetched from multiple sources simultaneously. There are 2 types of sources: content (text & images) and audio (pronunciation recordings or synthesis). Configure the order in which results from different sources are displayed or disable some sources completely. 📄 Supported content sources: • Google Dictionary • Google Translate 🆕 • DuckDuckGo Instant Answers • Wikipedia • Bing Images 🆕 • Google Search • Custom 🆕 🔊 Supported audio sources: • Speech synthesizer • Google Dictionary Pronunciations All audio sources have “autoplay” feature. Expect more sources in future updates. ⚙️ Languages Results can be requested in multiple languages at once according to your preferences, and displayed in specific order. When there's no info in most preferable to you language, results in the next preferable language will be displayed automatically. You can also switch between languages manually for every single search result. ⚙️ Appearance Customize the look of the extension, including bubble, options app, and popup window. Choose one of predefined themes or create your own with the built-in Theme Editor. Automatically switch between themes based on the time on your computer using scheduling feature. ━━━ Popup window opens when you click the extension's icon. It enables you to: 🔍 Search by typing the query instead of selecting it on a page. ✔️/❌ Toggle bubble activation behavior for currently opened domains and pages without manually writing URL rules. 🎨 Toggle themes and schedules without opening options app. ━━━ 📄 PDF Reader 🆕 Definer can’t work in most PDF viewers, so it comes bundled with its own integrated PDF Reader that will let you use the pop-up bubble on PDFs. To open PDF reader: click on the Definer’s icon → 3 vertical dots → “PDF Reader”. ━━━ ❗ Important - The bubble will not work in tabs that were open prior to installation. After installing this extension, it's recommended to restart your browser. - All extensions are disabled on Chrome Web Store, including this page. (2023-09-15) *: Confusing settings, the wordings and the terms. Unfriendly triggers. Hotkeys don't work. (Even a small thing like Ctrl+Shift+1 shown as Ctrl+Shift+! makes just a bad impression.) Browser level pop-up isn't prompted with highlighted text, I have to type it manually each time. Base language cannot be opted out from automatic translation. Heavy bloated but the essential features aren't there.

(2023-09-11) यक्ष: Nice app, English is my second language so it really saves me a lot of time of definition looking when I am reading long (900 to 2000 pages at this point of the game) textbooks and this product, this ingenuity is one of the few ones that are actually providing this kind of service with clean designs and nice user interface. BUT, but, somehow the shortcuts for opening this page just wont work. Even when I switch the shortcuts to other keyboard inputs. The shortcuts only work when I read a pdf in the integrated pdf reader, and it won't work in other occasions, such as texts/doubleclicks/keyboard inputs in Chrome. I really hope you can fix this because the usage will be much much more efficient:)

It was only when I found your reddit post that I gave your extension a shot. I'm so glad I did. It solved literally all my problems (of today.) (2023-08-22) Jonathan Armani: Absolutely Perfect! Took forever to find a descent, double/right click - text to speech. This extension went far beyond what I expected. No more opening separate tabs. Double click, for speech, definition, web search and more, all within the pop-up bubble. How is this not advertised more? Best extension of it's kind by far. Thank you to the developers.

Раньше часто использовал расширения для перевода отдельных слов/предложений по выделению, и, самое главное, чтобы перевод отображался во всплывающем окошке. Теперь потребовалось аналогично производить поиск по словарю, дабы узнать определение умных слов. Долго искал, и наткнулся на данный сабж. Это просто отличное расширение, которое полностью соответствует моим текущим потребностям: - Отображение результата во всплывающем окошке - Перевод - Поиск по словарю - Поиск по википедии - Поиск картинок - Гибкие настройки, как отображения, так и поведения 5 из 5! Рекомендую.

I would just like to suggest an additional source of JSTOR.com. When you have Wikipedia, google, DuckDuckGo, Bing images, why not search for some articles or docs for further help, obviously to one who's interested.
