  • (2025-07-15) wyrren: Thank you so much for making this extension break, Google! I didn't think you'd actually have the guts to do such a horrible thing, but you pulled it off! Now everyone I know is dropping chrome for literally anything else. For me, I have finally made the transition to Microsoft Edge! I'd been hearing for years that they had fixed/improved Edge and it was a great alternative over Chrome. I had wanted to give it a try but couldn't commit to change; now though, because I HAD too, there's no self sabotage. It was actually very easy to do and just a few clicks can import all the settings from Chrome. I'm loving what I see in Edge! Plus..... this exact extension works with Edge!!! A nice surprise for sure!!! A sincere "Thank you" to the uBlock Origin team for making something that is now a requirement to stay safe and sane on the internet.

  • (2025-07-15) Adam Holmes: Thanks for the great service. Off to firefox now
  • (2025-07-15) Google User (M. B.): Good news and bad news. Yes, we can still find uBlock version 1.65 (perhaps higher later) by searching for it in Github. The bad news: as of version Chrome 139, it's my understanding uBlock will not be supported in any way by the developers. Latest version of Chrome now is 138.0.7204.101. So start planning your other options. Peace.

  • (2025-07-14) Seth Witzel: This and AdGuard kept me sane for many years. Too bad google decided shareholders are more important than users. Seems like Firefox is the way to go
  • (2025-07-14) Stephen Divin: Great extension. Switching to Firefox, recommend others do the same.
  • (2025-07-14) Bryce: This was the one good thing about chrome that made it worth while. Firefox it is now I guess.
  • (2025-07-14) Saad Ahmad: Been using this for many many years and its been great while it lasted, an unfortunate end
  • (2025-07-14) Doug Barmore: Google sucks for disabling this.
  • (2025-07-14) Chris C: This review is for you Google. Please pay attention. Almost a third of all internet users use an adblocker. These people (including myself) will never.... and I truly mean they will NEVER surf the web without an adblocker no matter how much you try and force them to. You will lose a vast majority of those users on your browser by doing so. I have already moved my surfing over to Brave and Firefox. If your okay with alienating a good portion of your clients, then I am good with moving on.
  • (2025-07-14) Jacked: Firefox isn't that bad after all...
  • (2025-07-14) shalitha vikum: Was using internet before chrome. Seems time to move to firefox again. No way im letting those ads and trackers waste my time and sanity.
  • (2025-07-14) Tam Nguyen: Taking down ublock is a stupid decision google. I'm moving to firefox.
  • (2025-07-14) Artinmo: Bye Google Chrome. There is no way you dictate if we are allowed to use an adblocker or not.
  • (2025-07-14) Melissa F.: Hey google, this is making me leave chrome and download firefox. Up yours with this nonsense.
  • (2025-07-14) Irish pancakes: #boycott google
  • (2025-07-14) Austin Kartheiser: It is an absolute disgrace that Google no longer supports this extension. The internet is practically unusable without it due to the outrageous amount of ads being forced down our throats. I am an IT professional and I will not use nor recommend a browser that does not support this; especially when there are plenty of good alternatives that do (Firefox to name one). Goodbye Chrome.
  • (2025-07-14) Tim Hi: I guess today is the day I finally remove and stop using Chrome. You don't get to dictate how I use my own computer or browsers. If I want to use an extension, I will find a way. I don't need you deciding how to 'protect' me. Google you are screwing yourself.
  • (2025-07-14) Clay Kaledin: Switching to Firefox, cheers Google. uBlock is a non-negotiable--makes browsing the web tolerable in this age of unrelenting advertising and tracking. If you're on the fence and wondering how to transfer bookmarks to Firefox, this guide is helpful: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-google-chrome
  • (2025-07-14) Mike Stivaletti: It's sad and pathetic that Google went scorched Earth over this extension. Luckily— there are other web browsers where uBlock Origin works: Firefox is designed by Mozilla, a global community working together to keep the Web open, public and accessible to ALL.
  • (2025-07-14) Max Petersen: RIP Chrome. RIP Google. RIP privacy and security
  • (2025-07-14) Alex Adams: Switching to Firefox because Chrome decided that forcing privacy holes onto their users so they can push ads is more important than a safe and secure browser! RIP Chrome, Long Live Firefox and Long Live uBlock Origin!
  • (2025-07-14) Danilo Bezerra: Falling like a hero. Time to retire chrome for good.
  • (2025-07-14) Dati: Edge it is, no way I am gonna live without you.
  • (2025-07-14) mae hong: love you , switching from chrome to firefox for you
  • (2025-07-14) WaterVapor: Google disabling this extension made me switch back to Firefox after over a decade of loyalty to Chrome. Just had to be greedy, huh?
  • (2025-07-14) vladetelqt2: Google , you chose , poorly. Best adblock ever. Moving to another browser that supprots it. Thank you for your service
  • (2025-07-14) Amina Ibrahim: Thank you for your service. Switched to Edge now. Shame on Zions*t Google
  • (2025-07-14) Zane Fulton: Such a shame that Google blocked this amazing extension. Been using it for years and it made my internet experience so much more enjoyable without constant ads and popups in my face every second.
  • (2025-07-14) Ian Jadczuk: Best Adblocker of all time. Thank you for your service, will be switching to firefox. God speed
  • (2025-07-14) e7noxx: Shame on Google! HUGE issue blocking this app
  • (2025-07-14) voteDC: Using the internet without an adblocker is horrible. Google have made a big mistake if they think people are going to stick with Chrome after removing this.
  • (2025-07-14) jor ric: google really thought it was a great idea to block this, nice knowing this thing
  • (2025-07-14) Jam “Jam”: love this ad blocker. When inappropriate and hatemongering ads stop showing up on google's platforms (even after blocking/reporting) i'll consider looking at them again. see y'all on better browsers. o7
  • (2025-07-14) Amit Rana: was best adblocker . but google thought how am i gonna annoy people without ads
