This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot". Except if I change "Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit" to "On click".

- (2025-09-05) TLDR: 2 stars for nostalgia since I have been using AdBlock for over 10 years but is easily replaced by better extensions. Main issues: 1) It doesnt do a very good job blocking ads. There are some sites like Kijiji that you cant tell that adblock is installed. 2) Constant ads from adblock about how many ads have been blocked. It still does this even if you pay for it. 3) There are other adblock extensions that do a better job for free without pandering for money. I started using uBlock Origin Lite so far it does a much much better job out of the box and can be customized far more than adblock. See below for "Kat C" copy paste dribble (personally hoping for "Please open a ticket with us") Upvote this comment if I get it right.

- (2025-08-25) used to work well back when i first downloaded years ago. whether it's adapting for a newer version of chrome (pretty sure i'm up to date) or they haven't kept up youtube's own updates, it is showing ads unless you refresh....and you watch the enitre video through.

- (2025-08-19) I've been using AdBlock for years now and I have NO complaints! Advertisements are torture for me, so I wouldn't be able to handle using the internet without this awesome tool. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THANK YOU AdBlock!!! (I'm getting ready to check out TOTAL AdBlock for Android because my phone has become practically unusable for the sudden explosion of ads. I don't think that's free but hopefully the cost will be reasonable).
- (2025-08-19) Sometimes it works, and other times it makes youtube ads unskippable. Not sure what deal they worked out with YT, but it's annoying.
- (2025-08-19) works pretty well with most ads on yt. couple annoying parts like 1. having to disable the ad blocker on certain websites like citation machine (not the adblockers fault, just the website not liking their ads blocked), and 2. yt has started to update its ads so certain ads wont get blocked and you can't refresh the page to get the adblocker to work again bc you'll just get another wonderful ad!

It only remembers them for a day or two and requires pausing again, it can't be that hard to code a text file with whitelisted domains, can it? Add the annoying pop-ups nagging to pay for premium and I uninstalled it after a few weeks.
