ABOUT
Download AdBlock’s free ad blocker to block ads everywhere on the web. AdBlock also protects your browser from malware and stops advertisers from accessing your browsing history and personal information.
AdBlock for Chrome works automatically. Just click "Add to Chrome," then visit your favorite website and see the ads disappear! Choose to continue seeing unobtrusive ads, whitelist your favorite sites, or block all ads by default.
AdBlock participates in the Acceptable Ads program, so unobtrusive ads are not blocked by default in order to support websites. We believe users should control what they see on the web, so you can easily opt out in AdBlock’s settings.

NOTES
* The notice you see about having access to your history and website data is automatically generated because AdBlock runs on every tab. But it does NOT actually monitor your browsing history or require your personal information to work properly.

- This was great for many, many months, and now out of nowhere I am constantly being harassed by advertisements - FROM the adblock. They are CONSTANTLY begging me - I mean 20+ times per day - for money. I accidentally click the box instead of the 'x' sometimes, and the page doesn't even work. I don't know how I would pay them even if I wanted to. It has become the enemy. I'm sick of being begged for money I don't have. I'm considering un-installing, but I don't know. At least then all the YouTubers I watch will profit off my views, and sometimes YouTube catches on that I have AdBlock anyway and bars me from watching. At least I won't be bombarded with adblock advertisements. We'll see.

- Everything that we used to love is now locked behind a paywall. If i wanted to pay to remove ads, i would do that first party before trusting an extention that destroys my fyp. Ublock is better.

- I only added this extension so that I can leave this review. Once I leave this review I'm going to uninstall again. I have no interest in this stupid extension I never asked for it I never agreed to it. But this so called ad blocking extension has been spamming me mercilessly to add it. So basically, if you're so desperate for subscribers, Then why don't you start acting more competent than you've been acting. Try acting sane and intelligent for once. And stop spamming me with your stupid advertisements wanting me to install your pathetic ad blocker that doesn't even work. You're probably one of those kinds of idiots whose wife leaves you for your brother because, somehow, Everything that you do horribly he manages to do a lot better than you could ever dream of doing... So stop spamming me, you moron! Now that I've made my review and my comment, now I can delete this extension.

- Notifications won't close and block my ability to use websites. Doesn't even block ads half the time. Drastically slows down browsing experience.

- One of the best free ad blockers I've used. In about a 2 minutes of logging onto a website, it had already blocked 17 ads. Love this, definetely recommend this to other users!

- works welll on everything but youtube shorts. it keeps skipping over actual content that comes after the ad due to add-on working slowly and delayed and doesnt let you roll back to content that was skipped if it passed another ad making this extension utterly bad and unuseable

- 2025.09: this is the extension I need. /Choose "NORDIC filter", if you live in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark? / This is ON by default, I had to switch OFF because this allows TOO MANY ads, 10 huge ads per page: "Why should I agree to see Acceptable Ads? It prevent anti-adblock walls that FORCE YOU TO DISABLE your ad blocker to access their sites and FLASHING ads" If this extension doesn't work for some an-adblock WALL, try Pie AdBlock maybe?, but bad thing about that extension is I can't manually choose which elements to hide.

- They fixed it! I got YT premium, so idk about YT, but I realized it's blocking ads on Tubi when I use it in browser. Thinking about casting it to my TV for this purpose! Don't like how it opens a new tab to bother you about updates though.

- too many ads are coming through

- I still see ads. not the best ad blocker. Some sites have an adblocker detector and it still allows ads. I do NOT recommend this adblocker.

- UNI STUDENT WARNING. IF YOU ARE DOING A CANVAS QUIZ OR EXAM OR OTHER MONITORED ASSESMENT THERE IS A CHANCE IT WILL RANDOMLY OPEN UP TO THEIR PURCHASE PAGE WITHOUT PERMISSION OR ANY ACTION FROM YOU, YOU WILL BE PENALISED FOR LEAVING THE TAB. What adblock replaces ads with their own that are more invasive.

- This thing doesn't filter ads from it's "partners", stops filtering ads randomly, and is even showing its own popups! Insane. Used to be a good ad blocker.

- this is a malicious app it automatically opens their purchase page without my actions and permissions. An adblock which replace ads with their ads.

- Most trustworthy adblocker to download but it doesn't do its job at all, it doesn't block pop ups from sus sites, it doesn't block ads half the time, its useless honestly LOL its a 50/50 chance that it will actually work

- I signed up for Ad Block Plus which would reportedly block ads on YouTube. However, I am still getting ads on You Tube. Their positive sales pitch does match the results received. Nevertheless, the company recieved their $40 yearly fee!

- When I do a Google search in Chrome's incognito mode, I always get the text "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot". Except if I change "Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit" to "On click".
