MyBib is a new FREE bibliography and citation generator that makes accurate citations for you to copy straight into your academic assignments and papers.
Simply browse to any page on the internet (including PDFs) and click the MyBib button to generate an automatically formatted citation for that page.
We can format webpages and PDFs in over 10,000 different citation styles, including APA, MLA, Harvard, AMA, and Chicago. We even have styles specific to your school, too.
Copy your generated citations directly into your paper, or save them to your bibliography for later. You can export them into other citation managers like Zotero and Mendeley, print them directly, or save them as BibTeX.

In order to keep MyBib free, the extension may crowdsource the collection of citation data for everyone citing within MyBib. This is anonymous and only occurs when your browser is not being used.

- Wasting my time. When I use the extension to add a citation, it fails to detect the author. I have to input it manually. Then when I press save to project, it says that the import link was invalid or corrupted. Have to start all over again. MY PAPER IS DUE TOMORROW MORNING, YOU HEAR ME???? I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?????

- I did not see a way to contact the creator of this useful extension so am making my comment now. My primary browser is Vivaldi, chromium-based. I just varified my problem on Chrome as well. Problem: When clicking on a web link of a PDF file the screen goes blank and fails to load the PDF as an file outside the browser by, in this case, Adobe Acrobat. In Vivaldi if I turn off the ability to load the PDF outside the browser the PDF loads inside the browser.

- I found the mybib chrome extension at some point in my first year of university, back in 2021, and I have used it throughout my whole degree and I am currently finishing up my masters dissertation when we got an update! Crazy that every research article I have cited over the past 5 years are all on here!

- Great app. Very useful. Wish that the format type would change depending on where you are for instance, Australian Harvard would be the standard format for Australia. Maybe allow the person to enter their country and then make the format that is most common in that country the default.

- pretty good, a huge help with my assignments. however if you're using harvard reference (i'm not sure about the others), double check the referencing and citation because it gets it wrong sometimes, still very helpful though
