Darkens bright pages for easier night time reading. Unofficial improvement of Inverter.
You can set Nicer Inverter to a hot key by going to
Tools -> Extensions -> Keyboard Shortcuts (at the bottom).
When activated, this extension forces dark backgrounds and lighter text for less stressful night time viewing.

Tried it out for funsies. Can't toggle the bloody thing off again without reloading the page. Should ideally be able to do that by clicking the icon again, since it hides some graphics (icons on the top bar on Facebook for instance). I don't know code; is this not a thing that can be implemented?
darkens also necessary tabs and makes them invisible.
There's no obvious function to provide persistence domain-wide. If that were an option, this would be, by far, the best extension to provide color inversion.

- Requires you to click the button on every single web page - Drop shadow is 2px 2px when it should really be 0px 1px Other than those two things that make it unusable, it's pretty ok. Guess I'll stick with Dark Reader for now.
Needs a key to disable on certain webpages if it is not yielding the desired reults

Thank you. After trying themes, dimmers, and high contrast only to be disappointed I finally found this. It does exactly what I need. It works on every page I have tried so far.
É bom, não inverte as cores das imagens, mas poderia ser melhor se tivesse como inverter as cores novamente, voltando ao normal.

Not bad... but definitely not good! - Toggling is not possible, so once you have inverted colors, you have to reload the page to go back to the original. - Why is there a shadow under the text? This *decreases* readability! I simply can't use it for this reason. - Remembering pages would be nice
not able to see some words with no adjustment on contrast, youtube seems run smooth...
Add automatical changing of colors and your app will be perfect!
Better than the other inverters and seems to work on every website, but like others said, some images are missing. I still have to recommend High Contrast from Google even though it messes up images a little bit.
Clearly the best inverter I have found, however if you turn it on you cannot turn it off without refreshing. Also I can't have it automatically turn on for sites I wish to always be inverted.
A nice extension providing beautiful dark theme, it could be better if the dark mode can be turned off in a click.
沒有載入時默認反黑有點差勁... 在反黑後的效果倒是同類中較好的. 不會反黑圖片，字的顏色也智慧型的調整過...不至於反黑之後反而看不清楚。 如果加入了默認反黑，那我會給五顆星...
