  • (2023-10-22) Ngọc Huy Nguyễn: The hashtag feature was removed from trello, so the action like adding # in list name doesn't make a hashtag. Therefore, this extension doesn't work anymore. It used to be a really useful extension, but now, so sorry! Hope you have an update soon !

  • (2022-05-18) Danielle Gunn: List Highlighter was my favorite thing in the world, but now it's not working for me. When I create a header card or separator card, it works, but when I refresh my browser, it stops working. Any ideas? I'm using Chrome on my macbook and it's all up to date.
  • (2022-05-08) Joseph Anderson: Just installed this, I'm amazed Trello doesn't have this, this plugin makes it so much easier to organized list and makes my board look much better!
  • (2022-02-05) HeroQ8z HD: its really helpful and it worked as attended i wish trello add this feature
  • (2021-11-27) Ратибор Подлесный: Very useful and easy to use!
  • (2021-08-05) Rachel Larrowe: I wish this would either play nice with the Trello Fold extension, particularly its collapsible section headers, or that your section headers would make collapsible sections. But I really like this app otherwise! The color and opacity options and rules are really great.
  • (2020-10-11) Alexandre Azevedo: Excellent Chrome extension! I've been looking for this solution for a while. It made it much easier to visually separate the stages (lists) of my process. Thanks!
  • (2020-09-19) Ping-Yu Cheng: Customizable list color is awesome. However, its not working in bitbucket.org when I embed it ?
  • (2020-07-02) good but shouldn't auto decrease its Visibility
  • (2020-06-29) Jacqueline Steremberg: Works like a charm!
  • (2020-02-06) Jake Salter: Great, simple upgrades without the privacy concerns. Most other Trello extensions want access to your browsing history. This one works great and its access is only limited to Trello.
  • (2020-01-19) Ivan Kunchev: Great Extension!!! Please add a way to export settings so we can import them on others' PCs in order to have the exact same trello look all over.
  • (2019-12-29) Daniel: Easy to set up using the hashtags, works great for my getting things done style board.

  • (2018-08-09) Yen Soon Low: Been looking these features for years! Thanks for making it.
  • (2018-05-16) Flávio Lima: Works very well, but some of the design options are puzzling to me. Instead of limiting the highlighted list color to one per board, why not just allow me to choose whatever color I want to have on each list? You could make tags for each color (e.g. #yellow, #red, etc.) and let users configure each list to their liking.
  • (2018-04-14) tyler hajdu: This extension is great! Makes my trello board look great and much easier to read!
  • (2018-02-01) Great job which needs a bit of tweaking. Few suggestions: - Configurable transparency & color styles for other states: "ignored", "low". - list card covers are getting affected by the 0.4 opacity when there's no tags or title matches. It's a bug. (hint: `.bmko_list-highlighter-applied .list.bmko_low-list .list-card .list-card-cover`) - You should definitely consider leaving lists intact unless there's a match or hashtag. This way, I need to add hashtags to all lists just because I want one of them to be highlighted. It was a deal breaker.
  • (2017-10-06) Richard Andrew: This is awesome, thanks.

  • (2023-10-18, v:4.0.11) Lauren Gordon: Extension no longer working in Trello
Hi, As we have noted from many other users the Trello List Highlighter Chrome Extension has crashed. Can you please advise if you are working on a fix and if so the turnaround time until this has been finalised and updated to return to how it was? We are really hoping this is getting fixed as it was a great extension to use. Thank you.
  • (2023-10-12, v:4.0.11) Dan Ortega: No longer works due to Trello latest version
Guys this extension is great, it is so useful. But some weeks ago Trello released a new version and the html classes are not the same, now the extension doesn't work anymore. I gave it a look and the changes should not be very difficult. I realize that the new version is deployed to some users, but I confirm the change is released and will soon come to all users.

Hello I am using Chrome Version 117.0.5938.132 (Official Build) (arm64) and the list highlighter has stopped working. I have deleted and reinstalled. Restarted chrome. Restarted my machine. Can't get it to work properly.

Hi, Thanks for this great app. However I have a small problem. I've installed Highlighter on my laptop and it works great. However installed on my desktop I can't get it to work. Both using Chrome and the same google account. Is there any settings that I'm missing that can cause this? Thanks for your help, Ness
  • (2021-02-02, v:4.0.7) Brigitte Radulovich: Standard View within a Team Board
Hi - I have an issue in that I have observers and some team members that are Executives (C-level) and I want them to be able to see the esthetics of the lists (colors and header separators) that I have set up on my team board. Is it possible to "force" this view without an executive having to install an power up on their own machine/browser? (they won't, btw) Love this Power Up by the way!! Thanks! Brigitte
  • (2020-10-15, v:4.0.6) Indrachapa Gamage: How to set up a rule for color

  • (2020-07-07, v:4.0.6) Annaliesa Hoesly: Double header
Hi there! I love this extension. My only problem is that when I employ the header card (by typing "// Header title"), it does indeed turn the card into a header (in bold white, matching the List header), but it leaves my original text in regular black text above it. I would love to know if I am doing something wrong or if there is a way to fix this. Thank you!!!
  • (2020-03-08, v:4.0.3) Maxime Demeyere: Striped
Hi, I'm very new to Trello and I loved this extention. However, I can't seem to get a full color background for my lists. They always turn out in the right colour, but Trello adds stripes. SO when I choose yellow for a list, it shows a dark and lighter yellow diagonal striped bckgrnd.... How do I fix this? Thank you

  • (2019-11-26, v:3.6.3) Katu Matson: Version 3.6.3 greys out lists it's not meant to
Hi! I installed your mod a few months ago (I don't remember which version, I'm sorry), at which point everything operated as expected. Lists would be red if marked as active, translucent when marked as done. However, recently (definitely the last few weeks, but unsure when it started) if any card is marked "To Do," it no longer turns red, but the rest of the cards go translucent. I much preferred the previous method, because I like to be able to look at/reference other cards easily without having to rename them. I quite enjoyed only specifying the one list as the working list.
  • (2018-08-07, v:3.6) Ammar Alhadi: Multiple List Colors
Hello there, Great extension by the way! However, it would be great to be able to highlight multiple lists with different colors. This would allow me to color code lists based on priority or type. Having this feature will make your extension one of the top 3 extensions for Trello users. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
  • (2018-04-14, v:3.3.1) tyler hajdu: Multiple List Colors
I like being able to customize the highlight color of the list. I think it would be great to be able to highlight multiple lists with different colors. This would allow me to color code lists based on priority.
  • (2018-04-08, v:3.2.3) tyler hajdu: New permissions
I really like this add on to trello. The list highlighter and transparency make my boards look great and easier to read. However, the extension is now disabled I do not think I will be accepting the new permissions. Why do you need access to my browsing history?? That seems to be unnecessary for the tool. Without good reason for needing this, I will be moving on without this extension. It was great while it lasted.
  • (2018-03-16, v:3.2.3) Richard Andrew: highlight list title not visible

  • (2018-02-06, v:3.1.1) Connor Duke: highlight disappered
Love this. But after a night,Something goes wrong. Done lists are greyed out, fine. To do lists stay as they are, fine. Doing lists are highlighted.----It's gone! It's totally nothing there.I mean, the list and cards are still there, but no frame,no background, seems like the background is transparent . And also no matter how I choose background,it makes no difference. Sorry about my English.
  • (2017-07-23, v:2.6) Ciprian Stan: custom colors and tags
Great utility for the ToDo/Doing/Done use case! Taking it just a nudge further would make it cover a huge deal more. What I would like is to assign custom styles to any of my lists. Looking forward to more updates. Cheers!

  • (2017-03-22, v:2.4) Joel Thomas: Compatibility with Kanbanello?
First of all, awesome idea and extension, thank you so much for making this available to us! Now then, I have a feature request that may or may not be out of your scope as a dev but nevertheless I'd like to present you with this idea since (to my mind anyway, which admittedly may not be accurate at all) it doesn't seem like it may be that hard to tweak and accomplish. Kanbanello (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kanbanello-for-trello/onkejpdhplmfiiafhkjjfalenddohccb) is an extension that offers features similar and yet uniquely different to yours. And since both seem to be under active development I'd like to request a compatibility update so I can utilize the feature set of both side by side. At its core, Kanbanello is just a card counter, denoted by a number placed at the top of each list. No compatibility issues there. Now here is where the implementation and features of both tend to coalesce; The user places a special tag in the list header (a number representing the WIP limit of that list, surrounded by square brackets a-la --> [3] ) which then turns the card counter at the top of the list from the format "n" (cards) to "n/3" (cards). When n=3 (that is to say, the number of cards equals the WIP tag number), the list highlights as yellow. If the number of cards exceeds your set WIP tag limiter, the list is highlighted red. My 2 requests are as follows: 1. List Highlighter currently overrides Kanbanello's color scheme capabilities. The card counter at the top of each list provided by Kanbanello still shows as grey or yellow or red, but the lists themselves stay grey (or transparent, etc, whatever setting I have configured via List Highlighter takes precedence). I'd like to change this behavior so that lists tagged #normal and above can dynamically highlight yellow or red as per Kanbanello's WIP tag limiter settings. I don't care if my transparent #ignore and #done list doesn't change color, and maybe even the translucent lists tagged #low can also remain static, I'll leave that up to your coding and design preferences as a developer, but as a user I'd like my working lists (which I think of as anything opaque whether that just the regular grey that my #normal and #todo lists sport or the stripe red of my #today and #doing lists) to be able to reflect the *quantitative weight* of the number of cards in that list via color, just as List Highlighter signifies *qualitative weight* by assigning specific lists higher priority colors. 2. Point 1 is really my main request since there is a direct conflict between the two there that I'd love to have resolved. 2 is more of a minor gripe, and honestly I may have to go to Kanbanello's dev for this one so feel free to redirect me if augmenting this behavior is beyond the scope of your extension, but I'd really like to hide those damn [#] tags from the list header just as List Highlighter automatically hides its #tags. If you do update for color compatibility as per point 1, can you also incorporate List Hihghlighter's #tag hiding functionality with Kanbanello's [#num] tags too? Right now my today list header is titled "[3] Today #today" of which "[3] Today" is visible. When I first installed Kanbanello I placed the numerals at the end of the list but soon realized that though List Highlighter still colored lists fine (so long as I explicitly tagged that list #today since List Highlighter no longer recognized/colored "Today [3]") the list header ended up showing everything in the title, like this "Today #today [3]". Placing the WIP tag before the #tag or at the very beginning of the list allowed List Highlighter to hide its #tag once more. Can this behavior be augmented so that any text placed after #tags (such as Kanbanello's WIP tags, for instance) are automatically hidden from the list header's too? I'd much prefer a clean and simple "Today" header, even if on edit it is revealed to actually be "Today #today [3]".
