Generate passwords for websites without any clicks and with an extra portable SuperGenPass engine.
Repeatedly using the same password for different websites is very bad. Using password manager is better, but if you lose your database, or need a password away from your computer, you are in trouble.
The best solution is generated passwords.
Every time you need a password, it is generated for you based on your master password and the website domain name.
If you need to access the website on a different computer, just use the same master password and the generated password will be the same.
Why use this over the original SuperGenPass?
============================================
Most importantly, SuperGenPass bookmarklet is absolutely insecure. Any website can steal your master password.
This extension is secure. But it's also more convenient.
Your passwords are generated instantly on a press of a single key.
Why trust the extension?
==================
The privacy policy is available in the codebase:
https://github.com/denis-sokolov/chrome-supergenpass/blob/master/PRIVACY.md
The extension is completely open source and you can easily review all it does.
If you do not understand programming, remember that there are many who do and who review the code they install, so this extension would already be banned by Google if it was evil.

- (2015-04-27) George Kostov: I have a small problem - when there is a password field which isn't intended for passwords (for example a box for entering digit code from Google Authenticator in a site with two-factor authentication), if I the code I have to enter begins with 1 - I can't enter it, because ChromeGenPass pops up when I press 1 in the beginning of the password box. I work around this by typing a fake symbol first, then I enter code, then I go to the beginning of the input line and delete the first (fake) symbol...

- (2013-07-02) DdDdD: I don't like the fact the password is not being masked. Otherwise it's OK.
- (2013-06-05) Dan Aiello: The entire point of SuperGenPass is to never need to store a password. It's regenerated every time. This plugin undermines that intent altogether.
- (2013-04-29) Tommy Pedersen: Great extention.. :) needs an update, though.. the popup doesn't work anymore..
- (2012-12-21) Mary Sloan: "Hello, deadduck! Sorry to hear about retyping. Here are my thoughts about your ideas:..." comment on Jul 2, 2011- BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! That was almost painful. Anywho, only have had a chance to use a little (which I'll be fixing as I'm working and wandering around online for the next few hours), but so far I'm pleased. There are some things I need to get used to but that a user thing- I've never used one of these types of extensions before, didn't think I needed it- I say thanx and kudos on a job well done, I'll be checking for other things from you- any tips and tricks you want to share for someone who is about to blow up her pc in frustration from useless apps and crap sites, hit me up. Again regardless tho, THANX!!
- (2011-11-11) Josh Tinley: This extension isn't quite as clean as using the bookmarklet but I understand the benefits. I am using it to get around the bookmarklet not working with all sites. Their are only two issues I see. 1. It is minor but I would like it to sync the settings with GoogleSync. 2. Most important, when it prompts for my password it would be nice the dialog box masked the characters. I don't want someone standing over my shoulder seeing what I type in.
