Clarification of the extension permissions:
* Read your browsing history - Chrome adds this line when we request tabs manipulation permission. Lightshot opens screenshot in a new tab, that is why we need it.
* Display notifications - Lightshot displays notification every time you upload screenshot
* Modify data you copy and paste - Lightshot allows you to copy screenshot into your Clipboard
* Manage your downloads - Lightshot allows you to save screenshot as a new file (works using download functions)

- I have had this in my toolbar for quite awhile, and the only reason I stopped using it was that Brave browser had its own screenshot button that was even easier to use. Lately the Brave button disappeared, so I went back to Lightshot. It's still easy to use, but as other users have noted it sometimes takes blank screenshots that show up as a black square in your screenshot folder. Now I have to check my screenshot folder after each screenshot to make sure it didn't just give me a black square. It doesn't have anything to do with the image you're screenshotting, as I can take multiple shots of the same image and get both black squares and an actual image. Really hope the devs address this, their app is great otherwise.

- Worked great for years, but not anymore. Recent updates leave blank, unusable spaces around the perimeter of the screen. Really frustrating to see a once-reliable product decline.

- I used to use it but recently changed into Primeshot which is lot modern and smooth with lots of extra features alsong with screen recording and beautify.

- It is an easy to use screenshot extension but occasionally while you take a screenshot it turns out to be blank, meaning no image was captured, which is quite frustrating at time. Because if you are taking multiple screenshots and do not necessarily look at it right away, as I sometimes need to take screenshots of either my own pdfs I have sent or on the web. Its kinda frustrating.

- (extension version: 7.0.1) This extension does not work on Windows 11 with Chrome browser. As others have stated, saved screenshots are blank, and even trying to print the selected area directly comes out with a blank page. This extension worked perfectly and I loved it on my older computer system. Sadly, it seems it's no longer functioning with today's technology. I hope the creator will come out with a new version that works again.

- It keeps showing a blank screenshot, also it save blank images - when i do writting and all my edits are just gone. I have to redo it all over again, and sometimes it returns with the same error.

- I'm so aggravated; I've been using this tool forever now without any issues. But now every now and then, after I take the screenshot, it would just show me a blank screenshot, and all my edits are just gone. - sometimes it won't show the ss itself, but only the edits (text, arrows, etc.) in the saved image. It's very aggravating! it there's a workaround, would be happy to hear.

- Does not scroll down to take a "full page" screen shot, it just captures the visible area. This can be done with the built-in tools in Windows/Mac already, making this extension obsolete.

- The chrome extension sometimes works perfectly fine, but 7/10 I take a ss and do my edits with different shapes and arrows and colors, I save/copy it and it shows up as blank. Its super frustrating!

- Most of the time first SS is blank. No, Nothing on it. All you have is editing you did from in built options. Literally waste of time, this bug is making this extension useless

- I’m really disappointed with Lightshot. I had over 50 important screenshots saved using their service, and now all of them have expired or been deleted without any warning. This completely stopped my work and caused a lot of trouble. There was no notification or option to recover them, which makes the service unreliable for long-term use. I’ll have to switch to another screenshot tool that ensures my data is safe and doesn’t disappear suddenly.

- The extension stopped working forme today. I have the extension installed on my chrome browser and I have used it for a long time. But today, it decided not to take screenshots. It opens, lets me select the area to screen and that's all it does. It doesn't upload to the cloud or open the screenshot taken. Any help please? Thank you!
