Privacy Badger automatically learns to block invisible trackers.
Instead of keeping lists of what to block, Privacy Badger automatically discovers trackers based on their behavior. Privacy Badger sends the Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of data sharing and selling, and the Do Not Track signal to tell companies not to track you. If trackers ignore your wishes, Privacy Badger will learn to block them.
Besides automatic tracker blocking, Privacy Badger replaces potentially useful trackers (video players, comments widgets, etc.) with click-to-activate placeholders, and removes outgoing link click tracking on Facebook and Google, with more privacy protections on the way. To learn more, see our FAQ at https://privacybadger.org/#faq

*** Why does Privacy Badger need to read and change all my data on the websites I visit? ***
When you install Privacy Badger, your browser warns that Privacy Badger can “read and change all your data on the websites you visit”. You are right to be alarmed. You should only install extensions made by organizations you trust.
Privacy Badger requires these permissions to do its job of automatically detecting and blocking trackers on all websites you visit. We are not ironically (or unironically) spying on you. For more information, see our Privacy Badger extension permissions explainer: https://github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/blob/master/doc/permissions.md
Note that the extension permissions warnings only cover what the extension has access to, not what the extension actually does with what it has access to (such as whether the extension secretly uploads your browsing data to its servers). Privacy Badger will never share data about your browsing unless you choose to share it (by filing a broken site report). For more information, see EFF’s Privacy Policy for Software: https://www.eff.org/code/privacy/policy

- Still no fix for Privacy Badger not blocking auto videos from Brightcove and JW Player even though they are listed and I have them both blocked. Before they were blocked, but no more. Why not? Also, PB not being enabled at website: ETF.com. It will not work on this website.

- Works well! No issues as of yet.

- Privacy Badger by EFF is an excellent privacy extension that automatically blocks invisible trackers while you browse. It's simple to use, completely free, and works intelligently without breaking websites. Unlike regular ad-blockers, it learns and adapts to protect you better over time. A must-have for anyone who values their online privacy. Highly recommended!!!!!

- I don't understand how in the past videos would be blocked because I enabled them to be blocked, but now no. Privacy Badger now is letting in what it is supposed to block. I don't know what happened to this once very good blocker. It's getting worse.

- This was a great blocker, however, now it allows auto play videos even when I have them disabled in the settings. This just started. I don't understand how in the past videos would be blocked because I enabled them to be blocked, but now no.

- Works too good. A website will work one day, and then the next day, going forward, they're blocked. No setting to exclude websites.
- EVANSON HAKEEM
- It's the perfect sidekick to uBlock Origin or lite . uBlock blocks the ads, and Privacy Badger catches the sneaky trackers that slip through

- EFF have always created the easiest to use privacy products. I just install this extension then forget about it. On the very rare occasions that it breaks a website it's simple to investigate why.

- It ain't perfect, but it does a fine job of preventing us from being bought by billionaires and privacy marketers, and it keeps on doing it though it keeps on avoiding transactionalism. No question it earns its keep.

- I use Privacy Badger with Ublock Origin Lite together. Yes, these two can work together and don't conflict with each other. Privacy Badger does allow you to selectively block trackers/ads with a built in slider. Privacy Badger says it's not an adblocker but it does block many ads in addition to trackers. With UBO Lite and Privacy Badger together, you are secure from ads/trackers as best as you can be.

- 10/10. Must have extension for everybody
- Orlunu
- When installed, opened a web page which I did not request and demanded that I pin the extension to the toolbar before it would allow me to see the contents of the page. This extension functions without this. This may be your recommended behaviour, but absolutely go and screw yourself with a crowbar, do not attempt to force it like this.
- Joseph
- Way easier than other extensions to use and it just works.
- Jane Mary
- Super usefull, would totally recommend. It blocks any possible tracker on any website. Please consider using this extension if you want to be safe with these things.

- Privacy Badger was created to prevent companies from collecting your data without your consent. It will never share data about your browsing (unless you explicitly choose to share it by filing a broken site report). Privacy Badger only asks for permission to read data on the websites you visit so that it can automatically detect and block trackers. You're right to be careful about extensions that request this permission, but basically all top tracker blockers require this permission to protect you. It does NOT mean Privacy Badger is spying on you (https://privacybadger.org/#Is-Privacy-Badger-spying-on-me). For more information, you can reach out to [email protected], read our extension permissions explainer, (https://github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/blob/master/doc/permissions.md), or read our Privacy Policy (https://www.eff.org/code/privacy/policy).

- Privacy Badger isn't just another blocker; it's an intelligent privacy shield specifically designed to stop non-consensual third-party tracking, enhancing your online anonymity. - Focuses on Privacy: Its primary goal is to detect and block invisible trackers (like third-party cookies and scripts) that monitor your activity across different websites without your consent. - Learns As You Browse: Unlike relying solely on lists, Privacy Badger automatically learns to identify and block domains that appear to be tracking you based on their behavior. - Developed by the EFF: Created and maintained by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a leading non-profit defending digital rights. This ensures its focus is purely on user privacy – it's free, open-source, and trustworthy. - Works Out of the Box: Simply install it, and Privacy Badger starts protecting you immediately by observing and blocking trackers automatically. No complex configuration is needed for excellent protection. - Empowers Users: While automatic, it provides clear visual feedback on what it's doing and allows users to easily override its decisions if needed (though rarely necessary). That's it! Keep Privacy Badger enabled alongside your content blocker for a layered defense. It's an essential tool for anyone concerned about online tracking and wanting to reclaim their digital privacy. Huge thanks to the EFF for developing and maintaining this vital extension. Highly recommended for everyone!

- This is collecting my data without my consent.
- Luis Da Silva
- So unfortunately, I am only allowed 5 starts as the maximum amount I can rate. I would do 10/10 because this extension is just that useful, simply put. And it does not harass me consistently about buying their subscription or donating any amount to anywhere, I absolutely love it. The devs really did a good job on this one. Solid creation.

- Mukhil Ravichandran
- Not perfect, but behavior based adblocking is really smart. EFF is an amazing org.
