  • (2024-03-24) 0: Fantastic plugin, better than the others! Edit: Latest version fixed issues, thanks again!
  • (2024-02-15) Kilian Audroin (KiKi): I used for 2 years and it worked perfectly fine thanks. But there might have a recent update on gmail that's causing an error #2014 making it almost impossible to use gmail with ugly-email so I'm unstalling it and letting people know ! Cheers
  • (2023-06-15) Carter Himmel: Been using this extension for quite some time, and it does exactly as described. I've never experienced any issues. Thank you developer!
  • (2023-04-07) Chad T: must have
  • (2023-01-23) N U: It doesn't work in MS Edge Chromium based browser.
  • (2022-11-21) Evan Y: does what it's supposed to. afaik isn't triggering the read receipts by scanning my emails or anything, but if your work is highly confidential it's safer to not use 3rd party extensions.
  • (2022-06-10) Wilson Sy: practically useless now. kept getting disabled by itself.
  • (2022-05-09) O K: A must have extension. thank you!
  • (2021-07-27) Selina Wong: Does it permanently remove spam?
  • (2021-06-10) Slávek Trávníček: Doesn't work :( Mailtrack still detects that e-mails were opened.
  • (2021-02-20) R: Didn't work. I don't know why it didn't work. I installed it on Chrome, I checked my gmail. I know I've got emails/spam with trackers in there, but nothing was flagged. I closed and reopened Chrome. Nothing. I also installed Trocker and the same non-result. I know that the advertising emails from one place is definitely tracking me because when I don't open their emails, they email me about not opening them. But even though there's an advertising email in my inbox, nothing is flagged. I'm very disappointed, and have uninstalled.
  • (2021-01-22) KWSM Tech Concierge: Love this plugin, seems to have stopped working recently (1/22/21).
  • (2020-12-31) Rob: Great extension, however, it stopped working with a recent Chrome or Mac OS release (12/2020).
  • (2020-12-16) Johann van Duyn: Works OK, but the UglyEmail icon is too big for Compact View in GMail, so it causes line heights to increase whenever the icon is displayed - a pain in the butt when trying to click on a message halfway down the screen. Plugin disabled in order to conserve my sanity. I do wish that there were an option to either not display the icon or display a less intrusively sized icon.
  • (2020-09-01) Coffee Martin: Mind-blowing!
  • (2020-08-31) -: good and effective
  • (2020-08-17) Rohit Pal: It slows down the inbox when enabled.
  • (2020-08-03) Aidan Gibson: Love the concept, unfortunately just doesn't work.
  • (2020-07-18) Matt Fellenz: This is very useful! I appreciate getting my privacy back. The only issue I have is that when I click on an email action (e.g., delete as the little trash can) on the home screen, the email is opened instead. Not a big issue because I can delete the email inside it, but still kind of strange this extension breaks that feature. Also, a question. GMass is implementing better tracking pixels (https://www.gmass.co/blog/tracking-pixel-blockers/). How are you going to block those?
  • (2019-12-04) Esdras Vera: Does not work
  • (2019-11-18) Kyllein MacKellerann: I used to have to weed out from 16 to 22 pieces of suspect mail daily. That's in the past. At first I wondered if somehow my Secure ware (ESET Security suite) was doing it but no, when I shut off Ugly Mail to test, the pile of..."stuff" was back. Ugly Email was filtering out the stuff that was perhaps less than honest... So I'm happy. I have less garbage to throw out daily and have a much smaller Email stack to sort through every day. No, Ugly Email isn't perfect, but it sure comes close.
  • (2019-08-01) Nhat Nguyen: I have been using this one for 2 years. Quite good! I really hate people those who track email reading, that is against privacy.
  • (2019-02-15) Pere Joan Martorell: Not working in Catalan language. It seems that there is a bug related with the encoding. I had to change the Language settings of Gmail to English to make it work, but still some requests give errors as I saw in Chrome Developer Tools
  • (2018-12-19) Star Outrageous: Tested this today using mixmax tracking service, works well for gmail.. as for Outlook.com users there's another extension called "Trocker" it works for both gmail and outlook effecient in blocking tracking but doesn't show which email is being blocked or what service did they use. I had to disable ugly mail to make trocker work since it seems to block it
  • (2018-12-04) Jesper Heinemeier: Hi team, great extension - I very dislike mail trackers. There seems to be a little bug; the snooze button doesn't work for email rows with the uglymail symbol?
  • (2018-10-12) Seres Seres: Can't detect many mail trackers and it often gives false-alarms.
  • (2018-08-31) André Araujo: Funciona perfeitamente
  • (2018-08-14) Evangelos Foutrenzi: Gmail inbox formatting is incorrectly displayed when Ugly Mail extension is enabled. Disabling extension until issue is fixed.
  • (2018-07-20) Ravi Kumar: nice
  • (2018-07-07) Rob Vale: This extension completely ruins the formatting on my gmail inbox. Subject lines are unreadable.
  • (2018-07-07) Jay Man: Something seems to have changed with the July 2018 update that causes my gmail inbox to be formatted incorrectly. Everything gets pushed over to the left hand side of the screen. Disabling this addon solves the issue/
  • (2018-06-26) Jonathan H: When enabled, this extension appears to cause right-clicks to delay about 20 seconds. In the console, there are several hundred errors along the lines of "Could not send the message "log", error: RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded". When I try and contact, there is only a privacy page that says "contact us", but no way to actually make contact. I am somewhat concerned by this and have disabled the extension for now, which has also made right-click work again.
  • (2018-06-24) Etan Ginsberg: Does Ugly Email work for Google's Inbox e-mail program or does it only work for Gmail?
  • (2018-06-11) Douglas Powell: I have used this for a long time now and find it very helpful, especially at this time when there are so many companies promoting seminars, symposia and political agendas.
  • (2018-02-13) Dusan Popovic: Wish I could use it in inbox as well
  • (2018-01-08) Bryan B: Just downloaded to test against an email tracking app I use called Rocket Bolt. Not only did Ugly Email not notify me that the email was being tracked, I actually got a notification from Rocket Bolt that my email was read without me opening it! Which means that this extension is reading emails without my consent. I tested it multiple times and it happened after every one of them. I highly recommend not installing this app and to remove it if you already have!
  • (2017-12-13) Andrew Fanelli: I must echo another review from 2016, "how can I get it to discern between emails that are tracking me and emails that I track? I can't." Ugly Email let's me know that I am tracking emails... Which looks and feels redundant and messy. It also appears to not always work accurately. The Ugly Email eye icon will appear and disappear on the very same email — this happens to MANY emails sent to me by clients. This has me totally unsure of who is actually using tracking software and who isn't.
...... - Não consigo nem enviar email. Custei para descobrir a causa do problema. Era o Ugly Email que começou a bloquear o GMAIL. Depois que desativei o Ugly Email meu GMAIL voltou a funcionar perfeitamente. CORRIJAM LOGO...
  • (2017-09-13) Suzana Ferreira: Funcionando perfeitamente. Obrigada desenvolvedores! uglyemail.com Aqui vão 5 estrelas.
  • (2017-07-25) Jesus Sepulveda: Cool!
  • (2017-07-06) Diego Srur: muy util, para esstar avisados y prevenidos.
  • (2017-06-26) Ngoc Do: great app!!
  • (2017-06-01) F B: Does not block pixels. Tested with multiple accounts, using Yesware. Yesware was still able to track every time each email was opened. Does show whether emails are being tracked right in your inbox (so you can decide if you want to open it or not). However, upon downloading UglyMail, I restarted Chrome, and opened my gmail account to find 11 emails had been opened "by sender / someone nearby". I did not open these. UglyMail is snooping. It also breaks gmail. Loads many emails slowly or not at all, and breaks various links within them. Do not recommend.
  • (2017-05-29) Wayne Dennison: WARNING....Check out your Chrome Dev Tools Console and watch how this performs. I had many, many errors with Ugly mail.
  • (2017-05-18) Soham Dongargaonkar: Works as advertised.
  • (2017-04-16) Károly Barcza: Can't blocked mailtrack
