Wenn Sie Ihr Gmail-Passwort oder Ihr Passwort für Google for Work außerhalb von accounts.google.com eingeben, erhalten Sie eine Warnung, damit Sie gegebenenfalls Ihr Passwort ändern können.
Die Passwort-Warnung versucht zudem, gefälschte Google-Anmeldeseiten auszumachen und Sie zu warnen, bevor Sie Ihr Passwort eingeben. Dazu überprüft die Passwort-Warnung den HMTL-Code jeder von Ihnen besuchten Seite, um zu überprüfen, ob diese eine Google-Anmeldeseite simuliert.

Wenn Sie die Passwort-Warnung in einem Gmail-Konto verwenden, sendet die Passwort-Warnung keinerlei Daten von Ihrem lokalen Computer. Falls Ihr Google for Work-Administrator die Passwort-Warnung auf Ihrer gesamten Domain einsetzt, erhält der Administrator Warnungen, wenn die Passwort-Warnung ausgelöst wird.
-- Welche Grenzen hat die Passwort-Warnung?
Die Passwort-Warnung bietet keinen Schutz für Inkognito-Fenster, Chrome-Apps oder Chrome-Erweiterungen. Passwörter für nicht von Google betriebene Dienste werden ebenfalls nicht geschützt. Die Passwort-Warnung arbeitet nur innerhalb des Chrome-Webbrowsers, solange Javascript aktiviert ist.
