• (2023-10-02) Tligy: Have been using this for a few weeks and I have to say this has become one of my favourite extensions. I originally was just looking for something to put the comments to the side of the video rather than making you scroll down and while this probably isn't the best extension for doing only that, I've found it improved my Youtube watching experience a lot more than I expected. It puts the focus back on the video itself without throwing out other parts of Youtube like some extensions on here that aim to remove distractions. So if you want to casually watch Youtube for entertainment you can still fall down the related videos rabbit hole but now to do that you need to actually click onto the related tab which sounds like a small action but is perfect for stopping the mindless scrolling. I have ADHD and I usually don't like huge changes to layouts in sites I use a lot (even if the layout improves) but this was surprisingly easy to get used to and I much prefer the vibe when watching videos now. There are still some issues I get though like sometimes when I click on videos I get an offline error until I reload or it not being compatible with other Youtube extensions (like comment search) but it's not the end of the world. Oh, I also wish that the sidebar would default back to the title whenever you click onto a new video, so that you don't immediately see the new related videos. Don't write reviews for extensions a lot but wanted to here. Anyway, great extension and highly recommend.

I installed it thinking it would replace the busy sidebar with the description of the video and the extension actually allows you to change the tab between related videos, playlist, comments, and descriptions. The only downside is that the tab interface is not customizable.? But I really like the extension and it has completely redesigned my viewing experience. Thank you for making this.

• (2023-02-09) Tashiba Lampkin: The placement of the video is kinda awkward for me. Its just in middle of blank space. I would prefer it if the video was at the top, just under the search bar. However, over all, the extension works well. I like it and enjoy using it.

• (2022-11-06) LK L: Since YouTube recently removed for some reason the option to switch comments from below of the video to the right side of the video to read and watch the video at the same time when viewing in PC browser, I was looking for something like this. This extension is perfect for that. I don't understand why YouTube removed such feature and why such extensions even have to exist in the first place, makes no sense that YouTube makes content delivery deliberately more uncomfortable. But I am happy about this extension. Great insight how people actually want to use YouTube. Very well done.
• (2022-11-04) Abyss Lin: Great extension! I was frustrated since Youtube changed/removed rightside comments "pop-up" recently, and this extension is exactly what I need! Feature request: the resizeable divider is handy, a side-effect is it changed the view size of video, which is usually not a problem. But can you add an option/hotkey to reset the view area size or divider position? The reason is, since the pixels are not always "aligned", the video may look blurry after resizing. For example, a 720p video may look more blurry than original when I resize the view area to either "800p" or "700p", and would suddenly become clear again around 720p. Thanks in advance!

• (2022-08-03) Umair Ghafoor: Man its amazing, loved your work will be using it but I think you should upgrade some of the stuff which I believe doesn't need Google's approval. 1. Extension Buttons(You don't need to add Icons, text is fine by me but please refine them) 2. Add a new buttons or panel for mix(playlist), which i believe will need Google's approval. 3. Didn't wanted to put this one in but its the only annoying point I instantly grabbed, Please Fix horizontal bar behind video, but it gets fixed after adjusting the player, I don't want to adjust the player every single time to get rid of that annoying Horizontal Bar.(This is the most annoying, Please fix it I beg u it's ruining the whole point of this extension.) Lastly Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

• (2022-07-24) Tanya H: okay i dont usually remember to write reviews for extensions and apps but i had to for this one bcuz its exactly what i needed!! i've been desperately trying to make my yotube watching experience a little more seamles on chrome. it's annoying to pause the video and look up comments. takes so much time. this extension brings all of that info at side bar while the video plays on the left. i love it. would recommend it. ty to the developer for coming up with this. keep improving!

• (2021-09-29) Nalis Solus: Overall I like the extension. Having the comments on the right side of videos is much more convenient. The ability to stretch the size of the window is brilliant and removes the need for the default medium sized window option. Here are some constructive criticism which I hope the next version could implement. These points is ultimately my motivations for writing the review as some of the drawbacks/negatives are making me consider going back to default youtube as they are starting to annoy me. : #The biggest annoyance is the frequency of when the comments simply do not load in and I have to reload the page, sometimes I have to reload several times. Sometimes they never load. #In full-screen the interface of the sidebar does not disappear, this is annoying for obvious reasons. # When hitting a timestamp in the comments, you always get sent all the way back to the top of the comments and have to scroll down manually to find where you left. # In a playlist it would be more convenient to stay in the comment section tab and the comments rarely load which forces you to reload the page. #The separate comment and chat tabs could be ideally merged into one and be a button that flips between the two alternatives (this is minor compared to points above) #The buttons doesn't change to dark in dark mode and could be better looking for a more overall better and more elegant look. # The size of the video should ideally automatically resize when watching a vertically filmed video taken typically with a phone. #The buttons don't scroll and disappear when scroll, which is a good thing, but the comments scroll all the way to the top making the buttons float above the comments. Ideally the comments and buttons should be separated so the whole scrolling section is just below the buttons at all times. This is also the case under 'related'. Overall it's a good extension, but these suggested improvements would make it much better and professional in my opinion.

I really love that it saves the size as well, as the theatre mode for YouTube constantly fails to remember whether its on or not. No complaints so far. • (2020-08-29) Martin: I had been looking for exactly this type of extension for years. A much better approach than scrolling down a sufficient amount for the video to eventually pop out—as with pretty much all other extensions that allow viewing comments and video at the same time. That said, this extension is pretty buggy; and the design is pretty bad. There's so much that could be improved. eg: ⮚ The buttons, they should really be integrated into the design of the sidebar; and should NOT float while scrolling. ⮚ There's still some margin (unused space) around the video. ⮚ Adjusting the divider allows for the video to go beyond the viewport. ⮚ Custom divider presets would be useful. ⮚ What would be *amazing* is the option of having the: Title; share button; likes; subscribe button; description (as much as space allows) etc. either in the currently unused margin space at the top/bottom of the video OR within the top of video itself with, maybe, a black, mostly transparent gradient background to make the white text always visible while keeping top of the video still visible. I think information on what the video is should be visible at all times, even when you're reading the comments. This would also reduce the number of tabs needed, making the interface cleaner. Clicking on this transparent-title-bar could expand it down, revealing the rest of the description, reverting back 2s after mouse is nolonger hovering over it. ⮚ The chat tab should not exist. The chat should be integrated into the comments as a toggled option. ⮚ The tabs may be better placed vertically, to the left side of the side bar. Even better, would be no tabs at all. Should my suggestions be integrated, there would be no need for tabs, just a horizontal divider in the middle of the sidebar with related videos at the bottom, and comments at the top half. Adjusting the divider should, ideally, be done with a drag from within the window you want to expand, rather than having to aim the cursor at the few pixels that make up the divider. Lastly, the extension button could have custom presets for both dividers, also accessible with shortcuts.

Youtube is known to change from time to time so please maintain this extension from time to time. Thankyou. Edit: I forgot to mention it does what it advertise and honestly you'll be surprised by how good it actually works!

• (2019-08-16) Jeong-hun Sin: Finally! Thank you for the extension. I have been so annoyed by YouTube's layout. Today's screens are very wide and have little vertical space. But stupid YouTube's layout makes it impossible to read comments or the description while watching the video. I had submitted a suggestion to YouTube so that users could place comments on the right, just like Android version of YouTube on a landscape tablet, but no changes. I had searched for an extension for this, but the only one I could find was SuperYouTube, but it required access to ALL websites I visit. I asked the developer to limit the access to YouTube, but there was no reply. That is suspicious.... This extension does the same thing and requires access to only YouTube. Exactly what I needed.

• (2019-07-03) Derp Derpington: This extension is amazing, however I had a problem when accidentally resizing the video too big and couldn't reach the resize bar. Can you add an option somewhere to reset to default size? Thank you and I will add the 5th star if this is implemented because it should have been added originally. *edit* I changed it to 5 star because the dev will be fixing the problem and they actually respond which is getting pretty rare. Again this is amazing and would recommend everyone to use this extension.
