I change it to 720 every. single. time... and sometimes it can even drop back down in the same vid. I thought it was comcast. Apparently google/YT limited quality to start at 480 in march or something to "save on bandwidth" in the pandemic. I didnt' realize the internet died and I didn't realize a server strained more to stream a video at a higher resolution. Ya, I'm being sarcastic. Bandwidth costs (and data caps) are total bs... This "app" makes sure every vid starts at what you set it to. And keeps it there... btw i could stream at 1080 but on a 27" monitor, 720's clear. Don't need higher than that.

• (2023-07-26) Ryan Moore: Completely broken as of July 25th 2023. YouTube defaults to the lowest possible resolution, which is usually 480p, and I forget that I have to change it manually until several minutes into a video when I question why the video quality looks terrible. This should be baked into YouTube by default, but it isn't, so please update this necessary extension.
