This extension shows a tab switcher menu when you press Ctrl+Tab.
It's the same functionality you get from the task switcher in Windows when you press Alt+Tab,
except this switcher shows your open tabs instead of your open programs.

Works well. NEEDS TO HAVE A SETTING TO SET THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TABS SHOWN. I only need to see 5 most recent tabs, not all of them. Also needs a clean-up on the UI (see AltCue [https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/altcue-tab-switcher/kdlbchidplmkbcihfjgambelnaaaienc] for inspiration).

I love it! I really need Ctrl+Tab in my browser to switch to the previous tab, and sadly is not integrated by default.
This extension stopped being supported because it "doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." I've come to depends on this for my workflow and I'm seriously considering switching browsers due to this. :( Developer, if you're still around, could you please work satisfying Google's needs (as long as they're not unreasonable) and make this function properly again? I'd be willing to throw a few bucks your way, it's definitely worth that much for me! I'm giving you 5 stars even though it doesn't work anymore since it's a great extension and it's not your fault that it stopped working. :/ Thanks!

Great extension, I've been using it for over 5 years now and it works great. I can no longer use a Desktop browser without this extension. This extension is the main reason I haven't switched to Ubuntu because I couldn't find anything similar for it
Tab thumbnails Ext is a Great concept, and works pretty good. Hope Google does not take this one away, like other useful ones, that no longer work. This great ext Would be so much greater, if had the very useful option to quickly search thru all of our open tabs, not just the last few tabs visited, so we can quickly jump to an older, specific tab, this hot addtl option would be super great. Still a great extension. Rated 3.9 Stars. Cheers.
I don't usually comment on extension page, but this is exactly what I was in need for. Many popular browsers are lazy to implement a basic tab cycling feature
it's just what a f*** needed.
Works great, I only with if tab switcher was more modern with rounded corners.
I needed this so much that without it I couldn't use Chrome at all.

Doesn't work on Mac, can't install the native component.
Been switching to Edge recently with vertical tabs, the extension displays all thumbnails position in the window mode not in screen mode like AutoControl can which is annoying. I hope you can make an option for screen position setting and ability to customize the icon of the extension.

Extension is not working with recently added to Chrome Saved Tab Groups (you should right click tab group name and toggle it as a saved). I hope developer will update this extension ASAP
Good idea but has shortcomings - Cannot close the tab with an x in the corner of the window - Have to use Scroll Click (middle click) to close a window. - Max 20 tabs preview and can't scroll to more. When close many you have to open and close to populate the rest

Thank God for finally finding the right extension I was looking for! The native Google Chrome CTRL+TAB was not doing the work for me as required and this extension does what we needed!

[Feature Request] It would be better if we could close tabs with the middle mouse button while in panel state.
It used to work with Edge, but no longer does. When you hit CTRL+TAB it reverts to the usual behaviour. You can set a hotkey under "activate extension" but the other hot key activations are missing and can't be set anymore. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, including the additional native component, but it doesn't work. I don't see it in the Edge store, so I guess it's not officially supported?

Its ok, sadly, it only shows thumbnails for the last visited tabs. If i Middle click a link , i wont show thumbnail, only icon and with low res, i wanted to see all the thumbnails, even if it uses more ram.
