I just made that term up, there is probably a widely-used name for this type of app. One possible improvement could be to have the extension check whether or not the website is using browser dark mode preferences by default, and automatically switch off if so. occasionally, certain images will display inverted colors, but it's probably just sloppy web design. other than having to tweak settings here and there, a pleasant experience. nice work

• (2023-11-05) AW F: I have experiemented with a number of night readers and settled on this one because it is simple to use and capable of toggling the night mode for all tabs at once while providing a blacklist to always exclude some sites from night mode. I'd like the extension to add a shortcut key to toggle the night mode and the black-listed state for the current tab.

Add a class to each element that has a background image, for both cases: added through the style attribute or a CSS file.   Since the last Chrome update there are many pages that are randomly no suffering the effects of the extension, mantaining itselfs in a blank or normal version theme instead of the darky option, even using the chrome motor just to search whatever, the "dark theme" only appears in the first part of the results showed in screen after the search, but when i navigate in them by scrolling, the rest of the things showed in parts that dont appear in the first slice of the screen are no longer backgrounded by the black theme.

  Hi, the latest Chrome update has broken something in the extension. There are websites which are no longer effected by the dark-mode (or some only partially.) For example, the Indeed jobsite. Here, the search results are fine, but when you click on a position and go to its page, the extension no longer works. Another example is https://www.dawn.com/ Before the Chrome update this website could be darkened, but after the update it no longer darkens.

  Me again :S I've previously had written a bug report but I've removed it a few hours earlier. Due to misunderstanding of this whole situation. The problem isn't fixed by itself by restarting i thought that the bug was fixed just because I tested the extension before midnight. When it was around 11-12 pm(23-24), it was working until 12 pm(exactly 00:00) then timer said "Off until 11:01 am" which is nonsense considering I scheduled it between 11 pm and 6 am. Before midnight it shows "On until 6:00 am". Only able to do pm to pm or am to am schedules. After the schedule bug happens existing tabs revert their original light mode but slowly and sometimes as in the video they might need a refresh.
