Remove Youtube Hotkeys

it works! I dont know what others did wrong but this extension has ended my suffering. I recently got a new cat who isnt as aware of the computer as my other cat is so he just walks all over it. now he can walk all he wants while I watch youtube

Was worried when I saw the reviews saying it didn't work but installed anyway and was pleasantly surprised. Now my cat can't make a video jump around by jumping on my keyboard.

TYSM!!! FINALLY, with the help of your extension, I removed (FOREVER?) Maximizing to full screen by miss clicking on the keyboard !!! Unfortunately, the video opens in full screen on third-party sites with YouTube embedd (by pressing F) ;-(

Thank god. I am so tired of resting my left hand on the KB and accidentally pressing a number key and going to some random spot in a video. Then I have to figure out where I left off. YOUTUBE GET RID OF THIS DUMB "FEATURE".

Works great together with Improve Youtube extension, you can dissable all with this and enable certain hotkeys again using Improve. One thing of not is the -, + and number hotkeys to skit to video parts are not dissabled using this. Would be great if this could be added.

Not working, Needed something to disable these stupid shortcuts because google isn't smart enough to realize some of us has cats. Unfortunately, this extension doesn't do the job :(

It does exactly what I needed. Hilarious that YouTube doesn't offer an option to just turn hotkeys of, it's more annoying than any ads on that platform. Don't force shortcuts for your websites to me! This cured my frustration with using YouTube. :)

I use OBS and often hotkey to switch scenes. Youtube took over my keyboard when ever I had a video prepped to broadcast and switched scenes! This dual hotkey problem messed up several broadcasts. The Remove Youtube Hotkey extension fixed the problem. Youtube should be ashamed of themselves because users can not opt out of Youtube hotkey keyboard take over! Whoever came up with this extension is a hero! I guess it is true...some heros don't wear capes!

I guess it does what it says on the tin, but there are no options and it doesn't work 100% of the time. To be honest, it isn't hard to just refresh once when it isn't working, but I do wish I could chose which hotkeys it turns off. Not really useful to me, as is.

Usually, a first try isn't enough. I'll click on a video, but the hotkeys will still work. So I refresh the page, the hot keys no longer work, and then the "Up Next" section disappears? Same with the entire left side panel on the home page.

This extension is great for when your cat decides to walk across the keyboard and jumps you back to the start of a 2 hr vid. Highly recommended.

it works well and has the potential to work much better then the solution I had before this. If possible tho could you make it so we can choose which shortcuts are disabled instead of all of them? I HATE the 1-9 keys jumping me around the video but I love how the arrow keys move me 5 secs at a time, they are very helpful for longer videos where I want to rewatch something that just happened because I didn't hear/see something.

For anyone having problems with your media playback keys on your keyboard interacting only with Youtube videos and not your music player, try this solution. thanks man, i use a button on the side on my mouse bound to a number to talk on discord and watching videos has been a pain before this.
