Allows data extraction of web pages via user-defined regular expressions.
This extension provides a simple interface where you can write regular expressions against a web page and use them to retrieve data from it. It tells you how many times it matches, and provides the data in an HTML table that makes it easy to copy and paste into a text editor or spreadsheet application.
A few of the reviews were upset that the popup didn't persist your regexes and whatnot. After using it awhile myself, I saw how irritating this can be. Now you can safely click away, and when you open the extension once more, all your code and data will still be there waiting for you.
For those of you who need it, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. And for those who have no idea, you want to go download Angry Birds. Why are they so angry?

- (2016-04-08) Gin Wang: Useful tool, thank you very much and I wish it can be highlight what I matched. now I have to combine it with Regex Search, another tool in Chrome. also, why it can't match in source?
- (2016-03-07) F P: Awesome plugin! Feature requests: (1) Add clickable links to results that scroll to their respective entry on the page. (2) Add "plain-text" toggle @ search. Removes html elements from search text & allows user to write regex patterns using "&" instead of "&", "\n" instead of "<br>", etc.
- (2016-01-30) Neil Gregory: Brilliant when it works but at the moment it gives me no results, whatever I search for. Very disappointing.
- (2015-10-05) 와사비_: It's looks like very useful tool but that support has not a function that is matched a section in the text. However, Not to be the better than this tool.
- (2015-10-05) Ketan Warikoo: Hi, I use regex in NPP and this is a bit different for me. Is there any documentation for this? If thats not possible does google allow you to leave a link on the overview page so that there is someway to contact you?
- (2015-06-02) UniFreak: the best one could be found in chrome relating regex search. tried `regex search`, did the trick, but not as feature rich as this one. good job, author. hope more people could found it useful additionally, I wanna make a feature request: could you add an option like `search only in screen`, so the regex won't apply to the html source, but directly to the text showed on screen, this could be very convenient. anyway, cool plugin, and hope you could consider my request, thx
- (2014-10-25) Works pretty well, has some issues when you throw it a lot of wild card tokens but it is definitely the best of the regex search utilities for chrome.
- (2014-05-14) Josh B: This works sometimes, but most of the time it doesn't. Seems to stop working at random and no regex will get it to work again. Then suddenly it does work again. When it works, it is great...but that isn't the norm. :(
- (2014-01-15) Ronan Etien: I was copy\pasting web pages to Notepad++ and looking for a way to copy regex matches in one click there... Little did I know that this awesome extension existed, allowing us to do this directly in chrome. It works perfectly, and being able to use substitution is the icing on the cake ! This extension just spared me hours of boredom.
- (2013-07-17) Ismael Trinca Junior: Thanks.
- (2013-04-23) Holly Glaser: been looking for this
- (2012-02-06) Jaymz Campbell: Cool idea and does the job but really needs to store state. It loses your input the minute the extension button drops focus (you don't even have to switch tab)
- (2012-02-02) Dan Kordik: I was looking for something that could do exactly this, thanks! It would be nice if it didn't lose your regex when you switched tabs and switched back.
