uBlock Origin
Description from store

- uBO filter lists
- EasyList (ads)
- EasyPrivacy (tracking)
- Peter Lowe's Blocklist
- Online Malicious URL Blocklist

OH NO, something that works very well. We can't have that. I'm shopping for another browser. One that respects it's users. Chrome, just.... up yours.

For some reason when I write temu in the search bar, it redirects me to scam websites, that ublock does block, but when I disable ublock, it stops redirecting me to the scams. Which would clearly mean that it is ublock itself that was scamming in the first place.

This extension is glorious and feature-rich - a benchmark Google could never ever live up to, ever since they gave up the "Don't be evil" saying.

Google has removed hundreds of Mv2 extensions and not because they are the best at what they do. Brave is removing them too. Use uBlock Lite or Adguard. The end.
Nope Nope Nope
Bye Bye Chrome <3 Brave here I come xD

Google removed it because it was the best.

So: YouTube gives me trouble for having an ad-blocker on. And since I realize they won't allow this, and I had installed this only for YouTube, I remove it from extensions. What happens is: YouTube ads continue to be blocked, and YT keeps giving me trouble. Solved only upon reinstalling this extensions, and disabling ads on YT. You should code it, I'd say, so that when it is uninistalled all its effects are removed with it. BY THE WAY: this is still available on the Vivaldi Browser: a browser built on Chromium, with full access to the Chrome Web Store, but much unlike Chrome otherwise.

You guys can't download uBlock or what's up? I downloaded it just now and it works fine..

And alas, one of the few things that makes browsing the internet tolerable is gone. Shame on you Google. You are lucky that using Brave on my Chromebook is more trouble than its worth.

How to reinstall Unblock Origin and get the most updated one: 1. Go to https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases and download the most update chromium.zip 2. Unzip the folder inside 3. Go to 'manage extensions' 4. On the top right you'll see 'Load unpacked', select it 5. Then select that Ublock0.chromium, and there now you have Ublock again. And if you get any Manifest errors, you can check out this website that can help you get around it: https://winaero.com/how-to-restore-manifest-v2-and-ublock-origin-in-google-chrome-139/

welp this was the best ad blocker sad to see it gone

greatest extension out there when it still was able to download, sucks that Google is greedy b and wants people to watch ads every 5 seconds. This extension made the internet safer, keeping people away from scams that ads casually give out. RIP, best ad blocker to ever exist

Thanks uBlock Origin, it was great while it lasted. Too bad V2 extensions are permanently axed starting from Chrome Version 140+, RIP.

Zach Rainbow (Zachary Whiteman)
I am so sad to see it go! As of 20 minutes ago google chrome will no longer let me force Manifest V2 Extensions. I am formally switching to Floorp (A FireFox based browser...) It is really a shame.

why did u guys remove ubo why?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good bye. The workarounds and extension shortcuts don't work now. Firefox is too slow for me, eventually they'll move to MV3. Developer of uBlock says they won't support Chromium based browsers in the future. It's sad how Google is normalizing ads and adware.
Damien Pfohl
You just have to disable and enable some fast flags to use this actually amazing extension for god knows how long
Hassan
Switching off of Chrome because Google and Youtube are run by slimey jeets that hate ad-blockers. KYS Google.
Shannon S
The internet is unusable without uBlock Origin. Even the workaround to use it on Chrome is no longer available to be. Chrome was already on thin ice with me. I'll be switching to Firefox and would recommend everyone else still on Chrome change browsers as well. Free Palestine

Goodbye Chrome/ium. I don't appreciate you telling me which extensions I can run in my browser. I also don't appreciate not being able to choose which tabs can be active and which cannot. So much resource consumption.
Gab
I don't know what I would do without this extension, it's basically required nowadays
Julien
Youtube's blocking it again.
