  • (2025-07-16) Molly Menchel: Payam Bahrami was extremely helpful and to the point on both my calls. We did an interest call + an onboarding call. Way longer than 15 and 30min. Both times I learned more about the platform, and he got me set up properly. We shared screens, I was able to ask questions, and overall it was a great intro to Gmelius and what it has to offer. Will be using this moving forward. Thanks!

So here we are with a more detailed review. gmelius it's a good product, and it's chrome extension likewise. Our team at ActorDO tested this chrome extension and is definitely in the top 100 of what we tested. We liked the automations that could be done with it, along with the detailed labels, so users can easily start using it. Also it adds labels, and helps with replies. It's definitely a good product. We can't make an exact top, but it's a nice and good product. Along with gmelius we've tested: fyxer, superhuman, hey.com, zapier, n8n. Still, it did't solve our use case and we've decided to continue working on ActorDO, the AI Assistant for busy professionals. Otherwise, we would have switched everyone to use it.

There are functions we consider essential for email and digital communication with Gmail, that are not the part of the features you get as a standard from Google and that are must have in todays world. This include shared email boxes, notes, email routing, email linking, Kanban boards, templates, automation rules and all that you can integrate via API or platforms like Zapier or Make.

I am writing this review not only because the product itself but also because of the great support that is behind ( it is outstanding!) I reported an inssue (small problem with a very specific corner case) and the bug was fixed in a matter of hours. I work on IT support and I have never seen something so efficient. Congratulations to the Support Team and Florian for the excellent product and support.

We did run into issue with the initial setup as we already had a number of filters setup on the original account. Also experienced some troubles when we assigned alternative email to the original inbox as additional setup needed to be done to work well with Gmelius. I would probably like to see a big red warning at the start of the setup that all filters should be disabled before you start using Gmelius. I think it would help with the initial setup.

Previously I used another software option with a templates feature, but it was always so difficult to navigate and had hardly any other functionality compared to what Gmelius provides. We use the template function very often, as well as shared labels which helps me collaborate with my team seamlessly, saving us so much time because there is less back and forth and wondering who has actioned what. We're aiming to increase use of the automations as this can really save a lot of time as well. I've trialled many and Gmelius is the best value with ease of use, it has definitely made a different in my digital agency business.

The huge win with Gmelius is that it's just an extension of your Gmail account, so very little change in your workflow - no needing to forward or duplicate requests onto a separate system. Only minor issue we've found is recently the "Mark All as Read" option in Pulse has been hidden under another menu - minor thing, but it's another step - please put it back where it was!

  • (2023-11-21) Addison Admin: Has overall been very easy to use and integrate with our administrative team. Loads very quickly and collaboration with the team is easy. The only bug bear we are having is that images don't seem to load in Gmail and we cannot see what other staff members have sent which makes overseeing junior staff difficult and can cause double ups etc
  • (2023-10-10) Fred Groom: gmelius breaks a basic feature of gmail which is to be able to send spam into the spam folder - it brings it in to shared inboxes instead of going into spam. i was told i had to upgrade my plan to get this basic feature back which would mean paying 3 times what i am paying now
  • (2023-10-04) mike gleeson: Unfortunately provides a lot of false positives and despite repeated bug reports, nothing seems to change. Also email campaign native html coding is not really supported, kind of a no-go for somewhat serious emailing purposes.
