• (2025-07-01) Philip Ross (baseballlover723): ~~Used to work well, but now it stops updating the badge until it's clicked after a while. On version 1.3.5.~~ It's been working well since then on 1.3.6 though.
• (2025-06-06) t: Does not scale up well, becomes extremely laggy at high numbers of tabs. I have 2600 tabs. While enabled, this extension will cause the act of closing/opening a tab to make the browser freeze for about 4 seconds. Additionally, starting up the browser with this extension enabled will cause it to show a black screen (which cannot be interacted with) for about 50 minutes for me (30 seconds or so without it). While it is doing this, it uses 100% of a CPU core; I have a Ryzen 9 9900X, which has one of the highest single-thread speeds on the market. Unacceptably slow. Should work fine for a lower tab count, but most other tab counter extensions would work for that.

(Rhialto): Was great all those years and it is still but now that Firefox have Groups for Tabs it would be cool to have the same counter for it as I plan to move most of tabs to it. I hope the dev can make it for Firefox also, it would be the first one to count tabs, groups, pinned, etc. PLEASE!

• (2025-02-14) Jhon Smith: Version 1.3.4 - The same bug. DOEN'T WORK. From Version 1.3.3 (from 11 February 2025) it stopped working properly. It counts the open tabs correctly, but shows "0" (zero) in the pin. I need to open its window to see the actual number. Not good, not at all. Also, the counter includes pinned tabs, I wish I could exempt pinned tabs from total count.

The interface also isn't fancy or modern at all which makes it easy to read as well. I have used this extension for several years at this point and it's hard to live without it at this point. I personally use it because I like statistics and I'm a tab hoarder so I want to know how many hundreds of tabs I have open, but it can also be useful for people who want to limit the number of tabs they have open at any time.

But with the latest Chrome update it's rather hard to read the badge number Before the update my background was red with white numbers but now it's red with black numbers I wish there were an option to change the number color as well as the badge color. Ideally there'd be an option to change the font size as well but even just being able to change the font color would do wonders for visibility

Apologies to anyone who may have seen that review! To anyone who may be struggling with a similar issue, I found out which extension was causing the problems by disabling each one and testing them out individually. I would also be suspicious of extension that aren't trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing and have the permissions to change website content.
