• (2025-01-23) wl chung: secured and easy to set up.
  • (2025-01-08) Dikson Santos: I had trouble trying to set it up for my usual workflow, which is connecting to my cloudtop. I recommend cider connector instead, worked out of the box.
  • (2024-12-09) Oleksii Chekulaiev: It does what it should. There is a potential for improvements, but it does all the main things and does them without any big issues.
  • (2024-12-04) Arun Kumar: useless.. does not connect. window crashes as soon as it opens.
  • (2024-10-25) Leandro Kondo: Excellent!
  • (2024-08-20) Gwyneth Llewelyn: An interesting twist on an age-old problem: for those of us who live on the command line, sometimes we are stuck in front of a web browser without any hope of installing anything — and have an emergency to deal with which can only be fixed via SSH... what to do? Well, I guess that this is the solution now: a WASM-compiled SSH console! It's fast, it's secure, it runs on everything... and has lots of configuration options as well. This is cleverly done, even if still a bit rough at the edges. But I'm sure it can only get better!
  • (2024-05-03) Maloy Wilkes: Great as long as you don't mind your config being randomly deleted.
  • (2024-04-29) Anton “ABSaratov” Borisovich: It worked typed "ssh <site>" in the commandline, but now it doesn't work, only 3 stars....
  • (2023-12-03) Billy Braga: Seems to be working again!
  • (2023-11-27) HW Test: Backup restore config not work
  • (2023-11-23) Glen Searle: If you have come here because the add-on has stopped working, you need to follow these steps. 1) Remove this Extention. 2) Search for "Secure shell" in the Chrome Extension shop. 3) Install the package with the same name as this one but the icon looks like this >_<
  • (2023-11-19) Frederic Rochat: This was my preferred SSH client, but it stopped working. :-(
  • (2023-11-18) Nican: Yet another great Google product that has stopped working.
  • (2023-11-18) Paul Miller: Version 0.60 stopped working for me. Installed the development version of Secure Shell from chrome web store (same name different icon) and version 0.60.8738.27253 of that is working.

  • (2023-11-18) Ewan Watson: Same as everyone. Stopped working after update. Hopefully it gets fixed soon... maybe relying on Alpha wasn't the right move...

  • (2023-10-03) Mikhail Samin: It was great. A migration broken it. Can the developers at least enable the option to keep the old thing while the new one is unstable?

  • (2023-09-28) Divy Sitlani: It was my default terminal, but now since 0.58 update, because of wasm migration, it keeps re-connecting. There is no way to switch back to pnacl till wasm is stable. So the extension is useless now.

  • (2023-09-25) Martin Skilton: Have used it for a couple of years, and been great. However since version 0.54 SFTP mount no longer works which reduces the usefulness of this plugin

  • (2023-08-24) Ken Chapman: Works well. Easier than having to launch a separate app to get to the console.

  • (2023-06-17) Alexander Potapenko: The file ~/.ssh/known_hosts is empty. But I've got connected hosts. Is it a bug? Also, use the SSH agent for Google Chrome extension.

  • (2023-03-21) Brandon Stecklein: It's sort of good. I like the fact that you can mount a remote connection for SFTP using the Files app on ChromeOS, HOWEVER whenever I use this to transfer files to the server, instead of overwriting existing files, it makes a copy of each file. It also will not refresh the contents of the remote folder following a transfer. So far as I can tell, the only way to do a file transfer like this is to first delete the remote files and then copy the new ones over.
