TLDR This is a chrome extension (+ web app) that can take a painfully long piece of text and sum it up into five key bullet points using the power of NLP.
There's so much content out there but too little time to read. So many times, it happens that there's a long article that we're interested in, but we don't really feel like scouring through it to extract relevant information from it.
TLDR This is a simple tool that can come in handy at that time by helping you spend less time reading counterproductive stuff and more on doing valuable work.
Steps to get cracking -
Just click the "TL;DR" button in Chrome's toolbar on a webpage which you'd like summarized and within a few seconds you'll get the <5 sentence summary right there.

Doesn't work. Waiting for 15 seconds and " Sorry, we couldn't generate a summary for the requested URL." No matter what URL I try.
Super frustrating. This extension is no longer working for me. I've since switched to GOAT Summarizer.

Added this extension years ago and it worked well. Now not working and it seems that the change is the requirement to set up an account. It would be good if the developer makes that clear in the description.

Creating an account is necessary, AI summaries aren't free (while other extensions offer it for free by integrating with ChatGPT), and the extension does not work when clicked on as it stays stuck in a loading state. When used on its site directly, the basic summarization is lackluster and doesn't work that well when summarizing webpages with complex layouts. Pass on this for any of the other myriad of better summary extensions.

Grabs too much "wrong" stuff, and distorts/replaces some key words... America become "A miracle" ..that sorta thing.

What it says when it can't TLDR it for you is that they couldn't generate it from the link, which leads me to believe that instead of just looking at the browser you have open and are looking at, it independently copies the link you're at and tries to summarize and then send you that, which is more steps than I feel necessary. Especially since it won't be able to TLDR anything if it can't access the link, and since the websites that i need shortened need you to log in, it can't help me.
