I tried to check off “shows trace direction hint”, but the hint and “trash can” disappears in the same time. I want to keep the hint, just turn off the “trash can”. UPDATE: Thanks to the developers, they listen to user opinion, adding a checkbox to fix the problem I mentioned above. It happened years ago, but I forgot to update my review.

• (2025-03-08) Vassilis Contogeorgos: I had this since forever, i got the message that is not compatible with chrome and it disabled it, i enabled it again, happend one two times more now eve if its enabled and i can see the line drawn from the mouse gesture it doesn't work
• (2025-02-25) Vincent Tuminello: I want to love this extension but it exhibits a nasty bug where using M1 / Left Click to highlight text either left or right registers as a right click gesture and will cause the page I'm on to go back or forward respectively. Happens multiple times an hour and is extremely annoying.

For those wanting a short version of my review, here is a short bulleted summary: --I have undoubtedly confirmed the large amount of claims that this extension implements malware --I have confirmed that they (or some third party they sell people's info to) have used information from my device during periods when the extension was not in use and even after I uninstalled the extension --Others have confirmed this through their own testing --Downloading this extension grants it access to your sensitive information. This includes login data and keystrokes, not just your browsing history. --Some of the information they require you to share has nothing to do with the functionality of this extension --Google does not have people that go through every extension in their store, just because it's on here does not mean that it is safe They also claim that they anonymize user data. Keep in mind that you are relying solely on trusting them to actually do that. However, even then, anonymous data doesn't mean it can't be tracked back to you. It also doesn't mean that the data they get from you is harmless to you.

• (2024-08-18) eastpaw: I initially thought this was a great replacement for SmartUp, but unfortunately this extension is a mess and the developers do not respond to bug reports. 1. If you reopen a closed tab with this extension, you lose the history of that tab. History isn't lost if you reopen using the right click menu instead. So clearly this is a Crx problem. 2. Saving settings is a pain - things go wrong a lot and your custom gestures may not register correctly. So you have to keep trying until the US doesn't muck up and the change sticks. 3. Saving an image using superdrag opens it in a new tab instead. Saving using right click works as expected. All told, this has been a frustrating experience. Googling up these issues, I found that Crx was tagged as malware some time in the past. I'm now wondering if I should trust it.
