All work great now! --- The old version was perfect and used to be one of my favorite Chrome extensions. Thank you! I dislike the upgrade, and wish I could have the old version back! I used to search by "tag," clicking on the folders name, and then write the words. That's gone. Sorting by "Added" shows hundreds of unsorted "No title" websites without "Modified" field, all marked with the date of the update, apparently. Sorted by "Modified" works as intended. Additionally, the search functionality matches every single letter in any order, rather than focusing on whole words.
• (2024-12-05) Chloe B: used to love starmarks, but of course since eeeeeeeeverything has to get a nonsensical update these days, the UI is HORRIBLE. Can't find most of my bookmarks even the ones i JUST ADDED TODAY (12/4). sorting by "date added" doesn't even work anymore; it stops after Nov 30 and is missing MONTHS WORTH for some ridiculous reason. only one or a handful show up when selecting specific tag categories. i never write reviews on things unless i feel particularly disturbed and irritated by it. this is one of those times. i will be switching to a better bookmark manager until this gets fixed.

Edit: Please let me clarify; Starmarks is a great app that saved me after I sorted Bookmarks alphabetically, it brought them back to last added. However this feature is gone now ? Something with Chrome disabled it I think or had to renew Privilege's. After I done this (yesterday) bookmarks since November 20th have been DELETED !! And also my bookmarks have gone back to alphabetical , hence messing everything up :(

• (2024-07-20) farrier noire: extension is meh only lets you date bookmarks WITHIN the extension itself, and there is NO possible way to save that setting so that it takes affect within your browser would be much easier to be able to access my specific folder on my bookmark toolbar and have all of the included bookmarks be dated correctly....but for some unknown reason, the creator omitted this and decided to only let you date bookmarks within their extension..... pretty backwards if you ask me

Would be nice to change the font size, increase the column widths ( Title column is too short ), add custom columns, add favorites, choose how to sort by default ( I prefer to sort alphabetically by the Title, need to click on it 5 times for it to sort correctly ), Ability to export/import Starmarks settings in case I get a new laptop. • (2022-02-28) Heath (Laryngectomee.eth): Great extension but it's missing some very important features... Most importantly Export\Import. Sadly, I can't use this extension until it has those features. I may fork it and add it myself if I can't find one like it that has import\export.

Nope, actually this one is really great with it's search and sorting algorithm. A great big thumbs up from me. Dude you're a great developer and I'm also thinking a new way of bookmarking content that'll make things a lot easy.

This one pleasantly surprises by also including last use date, rating , and a text comment field for each bookmark! All this is wonderful. But the extension interface does not let me manage my bookmarks in their native tree structure, nor let me drag/drop marks to rearrange structure. So it does some of what I need, but not the more basic stuff that other managers do. And if I were to use this along with another manager, then I wouldn't see the useful info (dates, notes, etc.) when doing the real work in the other manager. So, great ideas here--that I've been looking for, but in the end not useful to me. Also, the font chosen to show each bookmark name is awful, and does not appear to be changeable.

I notice that this extension has not been updated since January of 2018, so I hope that the project is not dead. A couple features I wish it had were, 1) I wish bookmarks were marked as being unrated by default instead of one star. 2) I wish it had an option to view bookmarks using the folder structure of the default chrome bookmark manager, that way I wouldn't have to switch back and fourth between the two. Other than those 2 criticisms, I think it is a great extension so far. 5 stars!

• (2018-08-22) 1 2: You might arrange in folders, this extension converts folders into its term "tags". Sooo, still the same as stock manager. I need to export folders, this doesn't perform the action I need.

It doesn't get the "visited" date correct though, but that's okay; I have thousands of bookmarks and Starmarks allows me to sort them by date, so I can start going through them from oldest to newest. I no longer need many of the bookmarks I have from 5 years ago. I would give this 5 stars if I could delete bookmarks right from Starmarks; I have to go to my regular Chrome bookmark manager to do that, kind of an inconvenience.

• (2018-02-26) Carlos Mota: Starmarks needs 3 implementations: A direct link to the bookmark manager, otherwise we have to add a bookmark so we can see it. An option to delete a bookmark. An option to change the default bookmarks folder - this could be done in the Options link in the menu. With these 3 implementations added I'd give it a 4-star rating.
