(2024-05-16) Fabrício Batistoni: Muito bom. Mas o fato de acessar uma AI externa causa crashes tanto no Chrome quanto no Edge. Se ele fosse o que se propõe a ser: um "autofiller" a partir de atalhos pré-determinados (salvos em nuvem pra ser usados em qualquer lugar) já estava ótimo. Colocaram Inteligência Artificial, Propaganda, o plugin que era simples, ágil e perfeito virou um destruidor de browsers. Crash de 5 em 5 minutos. Para de funcionar do nada e volta do nada... fala que vai iniciar cobrança, mas na hora de cobrar não tem como subscribe!!!!! uma zona!!!!!

(2024-04-27) Brent Campbell: EDIT: New pricing model is absolute horsesh*t. I'm moving all my autofills to a new shortcut extension.. having a limit of 20 is ridiculous.. let alone any limit at all. I've used Magical for over a year, and unfortunately will have to look around for other options. This extension used to be great for email templates and work, but now is bloated with AI tools and other intrusive half-baked features that have no option for customizability or ability to turn it off. For example, a toolbar was added that can only be turned off for 2 weeks at a time. I have to keep this off because the UI interferes with websites I use. There's no option to permanently remove this or at the very least remove it on a per-website basis. Further, there's a multitude of random additions like suggested autofill templates, which incorrectly wants to autofill templates 100% of the time. There's random suggestions for "Yes/No" in emails when this is rarely what an email needs. There's no option to turn either of these functions off. Templates itself work *mostly* fine, however around 10% of the time the shortcut I typed doesn't work, and I have to re-type it for it to work. This issue has been going on for more than a year and hasn't been fixed yet. Variables within templates don't work great and constantly input wrong information (e.g. inputting info from neighboring tabs instead of the tab that the template is being used on) I understand Magical is trying to add new features to make this more than just a template shortcut extension, but hastily adding features for the sake of it without testing for usability is not a good look :(

Hi - Can't seem to get what the "shortcut timeout" does. I would assume it issues a delay do I can type, say "co" and if I pause, it inserts the text, if i type another character, it does not. Can you make the text completion event trigger on the 'space' key. That way if you are writing a word that contains the abbreviation, it wont auto complete unless you trigger the event using the space key. Example: the abbreviation for "review and analyze" is "ra," but I may want to use the word ratify. In the current config, I can't use any word that starts with "ra" without triggering the full text autocomplete. However, if the autocomplete triggers on the space key event, you could choose when to autocomplete, but maintain the normal typing rhythm.

Hello! First off, this is an excellent extension--thank you SO much for making it, I use it constantly, and really love it! Recently I've run into a problem when using this on my chromebook which is running Chrome Version 87.0.4280.78 (Official Build) beta (64-bit). The issue is that when I fire a shortcut everything in the input box is erased. Specifically I'm seeing this when in Zendesk (ironically, I do tech support! :-). Despite having saved multiple times over the course of the month, after a recent refresh, all my new shortcuts disappeared as well as updates I'd made to existing shortcuts. I'd previously had such an issue and as such had fallen into the habit of making backups anytime I made a change so that if there was an issue with my saved changes loading after a refresh I could retrieve it through the backup. However, my most recent backup from October 27th is not working. When trying to restore I get a message stating: "Could not restore backup! Data may be corrupted or storage limits may have changed." I'm reaching out because I wanted to know if there is a way for me to view my backup so that I can save it as a json file and import it back into my expander.

Hey whenever I type "@wel2" , I should receive "welcome to xyz". However I'm getting "@welcome to xyz". Getting and extra character @ in front the text!! any issue using @?

Hi, thanks first of all for this great extension!! I'm having a bit of trouble getting it to work on Facebook. The text appears when I write the shortcut on Messenger, but when I hit Enter it only sends the shortcut letters and not the text. Also when I add any text to the Auto one, it makes the dialogue box disappear. Help?
(2020-09-24, v:1.9.5) Dan G: unable to import JSON
We' can't import shortcuts "invalid JSON format" - even just cutting and pasting back into browser shows this error. (Using a mac) - when go to JSON formatter - what template (ie three space tab) / specification should we use( RFC 8259)? Or on http://shancarter.github.io/mr-data-converter/ - what are the correct settings? Tried text CSV to JSON from scratch as well and keeps saying invalid format Thanks !!

The text expander is repeating the expanded word 3 times every time I use a snippet. seems like a bug?
