• (2024-03-07) Blackman Whitesuit: I don't like rewriting me review, because I already gave the team 5 stars, but a recent youtube update has broken *all* the youtube extensions that attempt to "fill the window" with a different sized player. The only setting that seems to change theatre mode is the "old alternative", but it overlaps the detail and sidebar text underneath. As always, thanks for all the work the team does and I hope there is a possible fix down the road! Edit(8/20): Youtube broke it again, but funny enough, it still works normally if the video is in a playlist. I have full confidence in these devs, so I'll wait patiently for a resolution. Thanks as always Edit(2/18): Thanks for always being on top of this app devs, but I have a small ask. Is it possible to be able to turn on the loop/repeat button on videos without having it always on? Thanks guys. Edit (3/6):Currently, the permanent speed doesn't work, but you can still manually raise and lower the speed on.
• (2024-02-28) Yahrite Fohb: Junk. There's like 3 themes and they suck, dark theme is just pure black. Disable autoplay, doesn't work. Click bug to report this and nothing happens. Foh with your garbage. Edit: Tried it again years later and thought I was liking it at first, but it still does not work properly. Disable autoplay doesn't work, channel intro video disabled still plays, it also causes some hitch when opening a video that usually makes you click on something else because the page moves. Just an annoying extension that doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do.

• (2024-01-18) Highly recommended - Must-Have Extension! Have been using this extension for years; it has so many useful features - basically YouTube exactly the way you want it. I've found it to be quite stable for a while now. Because there are so many features, there's a bit of a learning curve, but once it's set up you're good to go. Definitely worth investing the small amount of time needed; even if all you use if for is to reliably stop autoplay it's well worth it. I love that it's open-source and nonprofit, although keep in mind that patience might be required for updates. I use it in Chrome and Brave on Windows 11; the Export / Import features make it easy to keep my settings in sync no matter which browser I'm using. Couldn't live without it.

• (2023-10-31) Shahzaib Ihsan: It was working fine. The descrpition set to classic expanded is now no longer working. It just hides the descritpion in classic or classic expanded mode. Can you please fix this in a new update?
• (2023-10-27) Tanya Collis: It was working for me, however, it's no longer working. I think Youtube has overrode this extension because I'm finding that, while Youtube's settings are working fine, the settings in this extension are not. It sucks because it's a big reason I chose to use this extension in the first place. Even a basic keyboard shortcuts are no longer working. I don't know if it can be fixed or not. Just a bummer this stopped working for me.
• (2023-10-26) Derp Herp: Broken at the time of this review. As of the new Youtube update, it leaves a bunch of buttons (such as a repeat button) strewn haphazardly around the page, and even worse actually stops videos from playing. I've tried disabling a number of options within this (and checked to see if other extensions were causing the issue), but it's definately busted with no clear sign the Devs will fix it, instead insisting everyone "Joins them on GitHub" rather than providing actual support. If it wasn't for the fact nobody else has made an extension that deals with the top right annoyances in Youtube, I wouldn't even be using this.

• (2023-10-17) Pwnonator: Giving it a 4 star for now, seems good so far. The main feature i installed this doesn't seem to work or i misunderstood what it does. The Hide pause overlay. I was looking for a plugin that hides that because i watch a lot of tutorials related to unreal engine and when i pause, YouTube throws the title of the video top of the screen and that blocks things i need to see. Was going to give 3 star just because of that, but i tried the auto 1080p resolution and that seems to work and the remove shorts and stuff from my feed works. Probably wont keep it as i stated, the pause overlay doesn't get removed in full screen.

• (2023-09-25) Jason Laine: Very buggy and many features legitimately do not work. Going in order of all settings that don't work properly: "Mark watched videos" does nothing. The custom themes option in the menu glitches out constantly and randomly sets the background to light grey and text color to black, even though I'm trying to make a custom dark theme. Disabling trailer autoplay for channels also does nothing. Worst of all, after activating blacklisting, I have literally no idea how to use it. I've gone to every dropdown menu relating to channels, the about section of channels, tried right clicking in the blacklist menu, etc. Nothing seems to be able to add a channel or video to blacklist.
• (2023-09-22) Alice Noel Fitzgerald: Extension is currently unusable even when setting YouTube quality to 1440p or higher, all videos play at 720p and you can't even manually select a higher quality in the video settings as the options have disappeared, fix this and i will rate 5 stars! Small nitpicks: When adjusting the appearance like having the sidebar to the right or the comments to the left the player overlaps and is very ugly, there is also this huge black footer if you scroll too far. Custom themes do not change the immersive header that is to the left in a playlist, i was easily able to change it creating a userstyle and ambience is disabled on the YouTube player also unless you select Dark Theme.
• (2023-09-20) Alex Christ: This is a great extension, but there's one annoying bug: it automatically enables looping after 2-3 videos when I try to play a playlist. Even if I turn it off, it turns back on after 2-3 videos. Removing the extension resolves the issue. I've also disabled looping in both the extension and YouTube settings.

Leider wird das Video nicht richtig angezeigt (in Chromium) sondern kollabiert auf einen schmalen Streifen. Wenn man mit der Maus darüber fährt, taucht es schnell auf und verschwindet grad wieder. Also subtitles keep locking on one language, even if that means making auto-translated subs. I want to always see the original subtitles. I just would like to report most useful one for me, that the appearance section for sidebar when i select collapsed, no longer works as usual. it no longer shows the "show more" section but other parts of the appearance works as usual
