- (2025-09-05) Karen Dali: I'd give 5 stars but it is irritating how the period at the end of "Mrs." is read as the end of the sentence. It doesn't do it with Mr. or with abbreviations such as N. P. so why Mrs.? Otherwise it's fantastic!
- (2025-09-05) One Outs: Cantonese reading is not so good, kinda slow too, hope will make improvement in the future.
- (2025-09-04) Lisa Blakey: Almost perfect. What would make it better is a natural pause between paragraphs, after bullet points, and cells in tables. Without that natural pause (similar to when there is punctuation), the reader runs text together that don't belong together into one giant sentence. For example, the heading of a section with the first sentence of the section, all the bullet points in a list, or all the cells in a table become one giant sentence. To fix this, treat a new paragraph, the end of a bullet point, or a new cell in a table like punctuation, and pause. A nice to have would be a text highlighter following along with the reader.

- (2025-08-30) A Social Ninja Network: I've been using this application as a Google Developer Expert for over a year now and still love it from when I was just a civilian 34 years ago! keep up the good work guys nothin but luv! Ninja-man™
- (2025-08-25) Robert “Bob” Breckenridge: Good over all rating from me; very helpful. It is disorienting to listen to this app, however, when there are phrases, which are titles or section headers or other non-sentence language structures because they are currently being read by the narrator as if they were the start to the sentence following them. It would dramatically reduce the stress for humans of constantly decyphering, while the narrator forges onward, the intent of the current reading, if instead there were a 1-second pause after each non-sentence phrase, which is how humans seem to typically read such introductory phrases.
- (2025-08-25) Aayush Sahay: Missing a loto f useful features like speed control and highlight
- (2025-08-22) Nolan Tucker: I it helped me do my I ready
- (2025-08-20) Ryan Ognek: I love this extension, I use it daily. One of my grievances is that when reading out a bulleted list with no periods, the voice makes it seem as though it is all one sentence or one word. Would love to see that fixed.
- (2025-08-18) FA VA: Always Error: Failed to fetch translations. Wait and try again
- (2025-08-14) Pavel P: Great useful app extension one of the best available

- (2025-08-12) Damaris Gonzalez: its not reading for me it keeps saying coudnt read text
- (2025-08-12) Ivan Lamden: ultra ugly voices, impossible to hear
- (2025-08-10) callanyonefrompc: Could be a lot better. It is as basic as a TTS extension can get. Either use an ugly popup window, or right click selected text and use the context menu. No faster left-click button options. No shortcut hotkeys. Other extensions show the various blocks of text you can select and left-clicking will automatically select that highlighted block. But on this extension, you have to click and drag your mouse to select an area. It's okay if you just want something basic, but I'm looking for something with more polish and more features.
- (2025-08-07) Esther Unachukwu: helpful for school
- (2025-08-04) Ali Reza Barkhordari: Very useful extension. If it highlighted the sentence or word being read, it would be perfect.
- (2025-07-31) Ty Buchanan: The voice is in British (posh) English. It is difficult to understand. In short ,Google Read Allowed is useless. It should give a list voices to chooe from.
- (2025-07-30) Claire Jacobs: Works alright for what it is. Has some issues with registering grammar (eg. not recognising when to finish reading dialogue as a sentence, and instead runs into the next one.), as well as skipping one-line sentences that might be offset from the rest of the text. Otherwise, I haven't had any other issues.
- (2025-07-29) Meg: No lee
- (2025-07-29) fermin salaberry: 5/5 perfect! JUST PERFECT! I can finaly start digging in my google play books list and soon enough I will have to get new books! Simple... efficient...
- (2025-07-25) Raghavendhar Sekar: Super cool
- (2025-07-23) Alexander Pushkin: Best TTS extension. Big thanks to creators.
- (2025-07-21) Comrade Max: the offered voices often sound weird, maybe a way to star and pin the ones preferred by user could be useful, also, some internet pages dont allow the use of this extension, and i get it, "policies" or whatever.. but having an alternative to do it anyways would be appreciated, like idk some page to ctrl+c ctrl+v the text i want and still regardless have it read to me, that would be an almost universal solution (and really preferably without any severe limit like text-length)
- (2025-07-19) Electrophon: Excellent extension for reading college textbooks pdfs. Although the speed is capped at x10. If possible, please increase the limit of the speed. Thank you for making this extension!
- (2025-07-18) Nathan Guiger: Stopped working unless I leave it on auto voice select, utter garbage
- (2025-07-15) John Weiss: Powerful, but not lightweight. Access to many free natural voices! Works great.
- (2025-07-10) Sissy Cooley: Horrible! Uses zero recognition of grammar and punctuation. Reads everything (regardless of speed setting) as one long run on sentence, making it impossible to follow or comprehend the material.
- (2025-07-10) eDee Bruns: I highlight an area, but it starts at the beginning of the Google doc every time - completely useless. It's like it doesn't realize it's only supposed to read the highlighted area.
- (2025-07-09) Jose Javier Perez Rosa: Love it! This is what I needed for college textbooks. Once again, thank you!
- (2025-07-08) Nathaniel Honomichl: voice is very clear doesn't lag crome on my low end device and actually pronounces words very clearly
- (2025-07-03) Jordan: This Read Aloud Extension is good not the best. I'm using 1 AI voice on this extension that's worked and sound good. This extension is at least good enough I'll keep using it
- (2025-06-30) Alejandro Bermudez: yeah. it works. but its not good.
- (2025-06-29) Samuel Robinson: Works as intended.
- (2025-06-26) Vedaant Upadhyay: it's just good
- (2025-06-26) the mathias: (Broken Again) I use this nearly every day, but lately, the voice just stops before reading a single full sentence. It gives the Error of "Timeout, TTS never started, try picking another voice?" but it's the same voice i have been used the entire time. and it does the same when i click on the "Test" button
- (2025-06-25) Mirrani: What has happened to my beloved read aloud?! I used to use this all the time, for just about everything. Now it reads a couple words and shuts down. Sure, it tells you to change voices and try again, but from what I've worked out it does this with every voice. Bummer. This was my most trusted add on to help me read pages that my old eyes are too tired to squint at any more. Super bummed. Please, please developer, consider fixing this issue.
- (2025-06-19) Leon Hoang: This extensions used to be good, but now it is horrendous. Constantly requiring to grant permission from Google to read. Sometime the extensions stucked in a loop where even afer following the instruction on the google site to grant permisison, it asked for permission again. Absolute trash now.
- (2025-06-19) Cheuk nam Wu: not accurate
- (2025-06-18) Paul Greatrex: Stops after a couple of words-no use to me.
- (2025-06-15) Sathwik Krishna Kunapareddy: Works well with almost all websites. The only one I had trouble with was Amazon's Kindle. It's only reading the first 10-15 characters of a line and skipping to the next line where the same happens until the end of the page. I hope that gets fixed.
- (2025-06-14) Hiuyi: Great for a FREE TTS reader. Customizable voices, and speeds. I can open the text in a separate window and enjoy the TTS at my own pace. Sentences being read are highlighted, so you can easily keep up. Amazing for reading Google Play Books, automatically flips the page.
- (2025-06-10) Omid Hassasfar: Most of the time, can not read and finish the highlighted sentence.
- (2025-06-10) Aleksi Vasquez: This extension worked fine for me when I downloaded it last year. Now it won't even access the pages I try to have it read for me, no matter what I do. It stops suddenly after reading 3 or 4 words, sometimes not even that many. I'm very disappointed since it used to work. Needs updating BADLY.
- (2025-06-09) Amy Glass: cannot access contents of the page extension manifest error the second time i try to use tts on the same website. annoying.
- (2025-06-09) T: What a terrible robovoice. This is not up to modern standards.
- (2025-06-08) Nexmeift: skips around pages too much.
- (2025-06-06) games games: The app is just awesome. Huge thanks to the creators! I suggest considering adding Elevenlabs voices.
- (2025-06-05) Texas Doehring: The only text to speech option I've found that works as of June 6th 2025
