- This is just gnome disk and the is no way you can flash an image on an usb stick with it. Sorry, this is not useful at all.

- ChromeOS Flex doesn't have the support for Google Play Store. FydeOS is a great alternative, offering limited support for the Google Play Store.

- The recovery works 100%. If the Chromebook Recovery Utility doesn't open, delete the old Recovery Utility and reinstall it. After reinstalling, click the Chromebook Recovery Utility extension. It should prompt you to insert a USB flash drive or SD card. Next, enter your Chromebook's model number, and the utility will download and create the correct recovery image for your Chromebook. It's a simple fix that can save a lot of time if the Recovery Utility isn't working properly. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/pocpnlppkickgojjlmhdmidojbmbodfm?utm_source=item-share-cb

- using the built-in recovery firmware is terrible. i tried countless times to just download the image needed to be flashed onto my usb stick (which didnt get labelled properly in the tool) and in the end i just downloaded the recovery .bin file from cros.download and flashed it using the "use local image" feature of this tool.

- Opened Chrome browser with Admin privileges. Extension would not write to an SD card. Sits on "Writing. 0% Completed"
- alice perera
- Very annoying utility and poor instructions. Firstly, chrome needs to be run in Administrator mode or "get started" doesn't work. Secondly, the USB has to be totally empty or the download gets stuck at 0% (no message or anything) Eventually got through, then went on to downloading, unpacking and then got stuck on writing. This utility is a load of cr*p. Giving up and with try FydeOS
- eatleet
- If you're stuck at 0% write, close chrome and right click it's icon on the desktop. Choose "run as administrator" then do all the steps you normally would have again. If you're stuck in a loop where you just keep seeing this screen and not the app, pin the extension to your bar and run it from there. Hope that helped someone if they needed it. Your program sucks Google.

- The recovery process led me round and round in circles and it got me nowhere. I have been at the process of trying to download the recovery on to a USB for over two hours now and have been frustrated. This needs to be made simpler, we're not all experts in coding or programming.
- Sinh Văn Bá
- This extension has been around for a long time, but Google still doesn't add support for Linux distro. There is no way to make it work unless you have a Chromebook or a Windows PC. Google should seriously take a look at this annnoying issue.
