Ownership of the extension was granted to someone else, the original owner doesn't have control anymore and doesn't approve of how the extension is being updated without any transparency. At any point, the extension might start collecting data on its users and already is interacting with the user's social media accounts without their consent. Play/pausing the most recent tab doesn't work, at least not for YouTube... Please Fix!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS, it gives permissions to read and write ALL DATA you visit on ALL websites, this is a massive, massive secutity data breach to every single user!!! (read the pop up before hitting install!)

Works well, but some inconsistent behavior. Some sites seek forward a few secons while others skip to next video/track. Would be great of we could have separate shortcuts for both actions.

Doesn't work for youtube. I spent a lot of time reading the materials and the only thing this extension did was to break my current play/pause button to work on youtube. What I needed: When youtube is not in focus, I would like to click << key to go 5s << and I would like to click >> key to go 5s >>. But I haven't found a single extension that can do that. When I have youtube focused I press << key to go 5s << and I would like to click > key to go 5s >>. But when it is not in focus, there is no option at all

Was working well until today, pause/play and next track works, but previous track doesn't. Is there a fix for this?

It works great for my Subsonic server.

Hola funciona muy bien, para configurar atajos de teclado para pausar vídeos incluso no estando en Chrome. Podrían añadir la opción de hacer lo mismo pero con diferentes sitios web que nosotros queramos. Hay muchos sitios web que no reconoce la extensión...............

Spotify hotkey "Like" stopped working :( please fix button "like" hotkeys !!!

YouTube pausing keeps locking up, so Pause/Play basically is not functional. Good for skipping tracks though.

Great extension that was unfortunately abandoned and doesn't work properly anymore. It's a shame, because the fix is on github and has been there for some time, but they refuse to do anything about it.

I thought it was okay, until I open multiple tabs of youtube (which I always do). When pressing play, it plays all tabs. It should play the active tabs only or at least set this things.

It works flawlessly with Deezer web app (probably with all others streamings too). Perfect.

This was the best... Unfortunately, its not really working anymore... Looking forward to a fix soon.

Used to work with Amazon music before, but does not work anymore. Youtube and other sites are still compatible. Please fix this.

Just lost pandora control. I used to be able to control Pandora with this exentsion, but now I cannot. I checked and made sure everything works in youtube, and when I close everything except the Pandora tab, it does not work.

There is NO option for select site there extension is active.

Normally Mac Media keys should work with YouTube (It does with YouTube music). But only play/pause works for me out of the box. Next and Forward only work 2 times out of 100 tries. This Extension worked like a charm! Thank you! Keep it up! Everybody that uses chrome extensions and such free tools should consider making donations so that there is an incentive for the developer to keep updating those useful tools!

Reinstalled it after a year. It was working before. Not anymore. Nothing actually works for me. I enabled Plex, I added my Plex hostname as an alias, I reloaded the options page, no alias was saved. Still, somehow, when I start a song on Plex, it detects the site as Plex TV, not sure if it's right or not, but I can't do anything with the song: pause, play next, play previous, nothing works. Hope they correct it soon.

Hi, this extension is a must have! Anyway, I've a bug: this does no more work with spotify... (the tab is detected, but controls are doing nothing...)

Suddenly stopped working for Spotify. Is there any alternative that works as well as this used to?

This stopped working with Amazon music, which is all I used it with. Multiple users have reported this. Are you going to fix it? It's been a month.

I was having some issues with YouTube as it was not recognizing it. In chrome browser I went into Chrome://flags -> Ctrl+f "media keys" -> Enabled it. This is because chromes new update allows you to control YouTube with the media keys. Only problem is I had 20 windows open so on play it plays all of them. So I just set it back to default and disabled it in StreamKeys and now I can use it for my music player like YouTube music.

I installed this extension but it's not working on YouTube... I assigned Play/Pause button to be Alt+Shift+C but nothing happened when I was browsing different tabs..

best extension ever as i listen to music always :)

This is what Chrome should add to their native "control your music" cause without keyboard shortcuts it's so useful.

Have nothing bad to say about the addon. I would love to see an option to add additional sites to control, but I imagine its impossible to do so.

absolutely a five-star app when it's working! unfortunately the most important functionality for me, global play/pause hotkeys, gave up the ghost recently. if and when it gets fixed, this will once again be a lifesaver for anybody who's addicted to background noise and multitasking!

Works perfectly for Pandora site in Chrome on a Mac allowing bluetooth headphones to control track skip/pause/resume.

I'm loving this extension and I've been using it for some time now. Great addition to your Chrome! BUT the extension requires "access to the browser history"... I'm not convinced this is purely for functional purposes. I don't think it is for the "previous track" feature, looks more like a privacy intrusion to me. Also. for Mac users I've had to remove/redo the hotkeys binding recently, I don't know why but some hotkeys stopped working on my mac. maybe not related to the extension itself. Issue is now fixed.
