Bitwarden Passwortmanager
Description from store

Cant update passwords. Makes password management more of a burden. Not well designed.

Excellent product. Everything works as expected. But, keyboard shortcut to do autofill is not working
Anonymous
Very glitchy. Identity autofill doesn't work most of the time.
Anonymous
awesome, but there is a problem with search in latest version. It doesn't work
Anonymous
The password autofill function doesn't work. Useless. Very buggy
Anonymous
They dont care that the generation of passwords is garbage and ignores your settings.
Anonymous
4 star rating, it's helpful at times and not at somtimes.
Anonymous
It will not auto-fill on any page now - Vers 2025.9.0. Pointless now, will have to look for another!

The pop-up to 'unlock to save password' when locked ... Sigh. WHY can't this be an option to enable or disable? Nothing more frustrating then working on something and suddenly having a prompt/pop-up take over. I already HAVE disabled 'offer to save passwords' - why on earth would I want it to tell me to unlock the extension to save a password WHEN I DO NOT WANT THE PASSWORDS SAVED UNTIL I EXPLICITLY WANT TO SAVE PASSWORDS? ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Not that Bitwarden cares, but I am looking for a new service. *I realize this was implemented a while back, but luckily for me, it did not affect me until more recently so I didn't realize that this stupid 'feature' was added in 2022-ish.

Becoming glitchy now.The more I use it, the more I find it frustrating. Often won't auto fill even when I manually search and select the appropriate username and pw. Needs a forced fill option or just a fix for this issue. My issue might be related to the one user zhen fang has reported.

This is a great extension that makes my password more secure.
Anonymous
You should not have permission to update unless you ask me!

I always use Bitwarden, But it have some bug currently. The case is: When the page loaded and the Input-box of the page donen't show autofull drop-down selection box. and have other case, showed the autofull selection box, but, on my cursor want to touch it and moved, the selection box will disappear suddenly

In general I like the extension, except this one specific thing that I genuinely hate. Why can't Favorities be at the top? Or in separate tab? This situation makes me incredibly sad and frustrated.
Anonymous
It keeps locking up. After I unlock it with a pin not everytime but sometimes there is a spinning wheel that never ends and what I have to do it disable the extension and enable again and it recovers. But quite annoying. Everything else is working great but that freezing problem is quite a pain to live with. It seems they have had that problem for quite a while well over a year and still there.

Best Password Manager out there.

Bitwarden is a reliable and secure password manager that makes storing and syncing logins across devices very easy. I like its open-source approach and strong encryption, but the interface can feel a bit less polished compared to some premium alternatives.

earlier version of the chrome browser extension on my Mac worked, but with the latest one, when I put in my credentials to my self-hosted bitwarden, I get the error: An error has occurred: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'toLowerCase') So basically, the browser extension is useless. Way to go making my job 3x harder having to use the app since it times out every 5 minutes Reverted back to the 7-2025 version and it's working as expected.

Excellent extension but seems to interfere with the ability to use eBay filters in it's current state.
Anonymous
Nice, but the extension basically acts like its own thing, which means that the fact that you've logged in and unlocked Bitwarden in the desktop app doesn't mean that you're unlocked in the browser, which is annoying. It is especially annoying when you use multiple browsers and browser profiles, forcing you to spend a lot of time logging into Bitwarden. It isn't very easy to use either when you have many different items accross types either. I am, especially after they recent changes, looking for an alternative who doesn't force me to spend many minutes throuhgout the day on simply logging into the password manager. Bitwarden may be a good fit for you if you: 1. Have a small number of items (and/or not a lot of different types), and/or 2. Mostly use one browser and one browser profile.

I have sites e. g. localhost, for which I miss the "Never save" button from previous versions of the extension :-(
Anonymous
Hey, Bitwarden! STOP asking me to save my passwords already in my vault! What is wrong with you, you didn't do this earlier. Seriously. Every. Single. TIme. And no - these urls are NOT different than the saved ones!
Anonymous
Loved this app for years but in the last few days the desktop and Chrome app started to fail, making it impossible to store or edit passwords. I can still find existing passwords in the desktop app but that's about it. I'm just glad the mobile app still works. I think I'll export all my data just in case...

- When an autofill's subdomain matches exactly, that autofill suggestion should be at the top. My workplace has many subdomains so I shouldn't need to scroll and look for the correct everytime. - Everytime I click on the extension, it goes through some sort of loading phase. What on earth is it loading? You need to implement some sort of caching. It's too slow. - Logging in with SSO launches a new tab - so I have to type in the SSO identifier everytime. Then I have to close the tab. Omg. Too slow and clunky. Just do it inside the extension so user doesn't have to perform so many clicks. - After I log in, half the time, the extension shows up blank. I have to wait 2 mins before it loads. It's like an old car that needs warming up. Just really not happy with this extension. Please address these issues. My productivity has dropped since migrating to Bitwarden.

Keeps getting stuck, just out of the blue. My guess this is connected with the Desktop App as each time extension gets stuck so does the Desktop App

Fix Windows Hello!! This is outrageous! I bought a freaking fingerprint reader just for this, and you broke the whole thing the very next week
Anonymous
Having a lot of issues with bitwarden in the last few months... suddenly the browser extensions wont talk to windows hello or mac fingerprint reader. Also the same issue with bitwarden windows app.
Anonymous
So broken. It fails to save all the time. Now you've made an account and nobody knows what the password is. Great. Locked out.

DISGUSTED!!!! So Writing this review AGAIN!! as I cannot forget the negative impact which I have for not able to reset the "Master Password" and I have LOST all my credentials/info which was there for last 5 years. Today again I couldn't login to couple of places and I just cannot do anything. Just to remind everybody that I will be writing this review every time when I am impacted at other websites. Strongly NOT RECOMMENDED!!! AT ALL!!!

I have been using Bitwarden since it was in beta stages. I am thoroughly impressed with how it has come along and the advancements it has made. I really do appreciate all it has to offer all while keeping it affordable for the average person.
Anonymous
unlocking the vault takes insanely long time. 50x longer than on the mobile.
Anonymous
Search performance when you have 1000s of vault items is still very slow at times. Autofill is sometimes very slow to populate, or just refuses to. One corporate system I use consistently brings up the "Generate new random password" box for the password part of a login form, instead of completing the password as it should. As for Collections, there still should be a way to tag or arrange this as folders, without the clunky workaround of nested collections (each with their own permissions!).

Bitwarden has recently neutered the very useful ability to unlock the Password Vault using Biometrics via a fingerprint scan using a browser extension in Chrome and Edge. Further, when using Bitwarden on android, the ability to auto-fill login details when the username/password fields have been selected has become very flakey. I'm only a recent convert to what was a very smooth system, but which has now become very troublesome, frustrating and unreliable to use. Hopefully the developers will listen to what features users really value, and provide a secure, functional and reliable program.
Anonymous
Excellent now. Not noticing any lag and high resources or usage. Thank you.

I'm satisfied with Bitwarden's functionality within the Brave browser on my desktop system; however, I haven't had an extended opportunity to interact with it on my smartphone to evaluate its performance within that environment. The yearly fee is an absolute bargain compared with all other password managers available presently.
Anonymous
Most frustrating thing with the extension is that it does not sync with the mobile app. If I update a pw on the mobile app, it doesn't get updated on the chrome extension. Also for whatever reason, I can't add new logins in the chrome extension. Always returns an error, no matter how many times I've removed the extension and added it again. And seriously, whoever made the decision to remove the one-click fill method, made a terrible decision.

Works well. Appears very secure with regards to privacy. Regular updates.

Very practical!

When is 2025.8.0 coming? I heard this ext has DOM-Based Extension Clickjacking vulnerability.

I am a paying user completely satisfied with Bitwarden. I use a Chromebook for its builtin security and coupled with Bitwarden's Chrome extension and 2FA use (Yubikey, TOTP, and passkeys) I feel secure on today's insecure internet. Bitwarden at $10 must be one of the deals available; what a bargain! You've heard the joke about Easy, Fast, Cheap ... pick any two? Well with Bitwarden you can have all three.

Never had issues and I love how integrated the system is from my pc browser to my mobile.
Anonymous
delay open every click the extension, long waiting until 30s

One of my many devices got hit by info stealer malware, my whole credentials stored in Google password manager has been stolen, including autofill, receiving emails of unknown login detected from every major platform, some damage found after recovering my account. 90% of my credentials found in data breach days later. It is a wake up call, I will slowly remove all my sensitive data off Google products from now on.
Anonymous
The MFA functionality doesn't seem to be working. I can see that the TOTP codes aren't synced between the extension and the app, making it impossible to use them. I've tried syncing, logging in again, clearing the cache, and checking my date and time settings to set the timezone automatically, but nothing has worked. Please fix this.

THE BEST password manager I've come across, and I tried a few, also better then LastPass, which I used before. Last 3 years been great, both on the PC and mobiles.. But, recently something changed for the worse, when I start a page which BW has an entry for I don't see the nr incidator anymore, don't know when, but will we get this back soon or ? May I also suggest something ? Wouldn't it be a good idea to make the entries capable of storing a WEB and MOBILE url, where both need the same credentials ? Regards, Leo
