- For anyone who is experiencing issues with the Chrome extension, it is my understanding that LastPass Support has pushed out a recent update to resolve the issue. The recommendation is to first check that you have the latest version installed (4.152.3). If not, uninstall and reinstall the extension to ensure the latest version is installed and working properly. I was experiencing issues this week with the extension, but after uninstalling, reinstalling, and also restarting my laptop, I am back to having a functioning extension.

- over the last week or so, lastpass stop working, the password trigger doesn't work and i have a weird square, so the only way for me to log in to a website is access LastPass mobile app, hoping i am not the only one experiencing this, i have been using them for over 4 years and this is the first time i am experiencing such issues

- buggy software they never update. more breaches than any other password manager. impossible to contact support. they do not allow you to delete your credit card info from their servers. lowest effort (and most irresponsible) company in the software security industry.

- Stopped working on chrome in macos. only showed small white box like other said. i reinstalled it and can now access the vault again, but when i click the lastpass icon at the top it just shows a safe with a spinning loading handle and never actually loads anything.

- Product has been stable for years, LastPass has acknowledged the latest issue everyone is currently posting about and working on a fix - Updates posted here: https://status.lastpass.com. In the meantime, open another tab directly to lastpass.com and manually copy and paste credentials for various sites by searching your own personal vault. The updated version 4.152.3 has just been published (04/15/2026), and should resolve the issue. For those of you with a paid subscription, your frustrations are understood and justified! Otherwise, I'm enjoying the overreactive "hot garbage" posts demanding immediate fixes, accountability, and other unfounded criticisms. To that group, there are other password managers available to install that I'm certain will never have any technical issues moving forward - Please let us know as a community which one you've found that works perfectly 100% of the time, so that we can evaluate it for our own use.

- For several days now, the LastPass extension has failed to load on Brave and Chrome, showing nothing but a blank white square. It is unacceptable that the company has failed to address this issue. Since the service is currently useless, I am already searching for an alternative and will not be renewing my subscription.

- I thought it was my issue only, after reading these reviews I can see it's a LastPass issue. I use Chrome and am getting the same white box. I've tried removing the extension and reinstalling it. Sometimes it work but more often than not is does not. This is very frustrating.

- Google Chrome and Android keeps breaking LastPass more and more frequently. Almost every day I have to re-enter my master password, and the LastPass icon in the toolbar often appears completely blank. This is getting really frustrating but it is a strong motivation for me NOT to switch away from relying on Lastpass. Chrome wants to have the password management, I will not give them. Remove and reinstall is the solution.

- My uBlock Origin Ad Block Browser extension stopped it from working. I needed to remove it to get my lastpass extension to work, and i dont feel great about it.

- Was working fine for years, now all of a sudden it shows an empty vault. If you click on see vault, there everything is, but this completely negates the autofill and other capabilities of LP that were valuable.

- I have paid version and this is beyond frustrating! I can't keep shutting browser or computer. I did find that when I right mouse click, Inspect comes up and click on that - brings up devtools and for some reason lastpass works. Grok says "This is a known rendering/CSS or JavaScript loading glitch in the extension's popup window" Suggest update or remove/reinstall. We'll see. Okay, just messed around and inside lastpass you can change the icon. I changed it to the little lock from three dots and it works now.

- Totally broken extension in Chrome this week. This is after months and months of various Chrome bugs, including constant prompting for master password, autofill when it shouldn't, and lack of syncing when it should. Guess it's really dead.

- Past week autofill has not been working, and when you click on the vault extension, the only thing that populates is a white square. You have to close you browser, restart and it fixes it, only for it to happen again shortly after.

- Let me share what the support team emailed me... "We appreciate your time and willingness in working with us and our team to mitigate this situation. The issue you've reported (Chrome extension crashing after the last update) has been identified as a bug by our Engineering Team and is currently on their backlog as an item to fix. Unfortunately, due to their other priorities and commitments currently in progress, we do not have an ETA at this time." Been paying them for years. It's a small amount, but normally worth it. Considering that Chrome is the dominating browser out there, and it's not working in Chrome, and their own sales pitch above is "the trusted password manager—used by millions of people and thousands of businesses—to keep passwords and other account info safe, secure, and always within reach" - and we can't reach our passwords... well, that's more than upsetting.

- I have used the LastPass extension for 15 years without any problems - but it no longer works, displaying a white box below the extension when clicked. After an hour on support chat with LastPass, they claimed they escalated this matter to their team and would be back in touch. 4 days later, I received an email from them stating their engineering team was aware of the issue and working on a fix, and the recommendation was to uninstall and re-install the extension (which I'd already done several times, at their request during our support chat). This made the extension work again - for about 8 hours - then it stopped again. Having to log into the actual LastPass website to obtain passwords defeats the entire purpose of the service is a deal-breaker for most users.

- It have problem with the Google Chrome 147.0.7727.55 update. Fix please. Quck fix: Change the extension icon in the Lastpass extension settings. After than Lastpass extension will start working again.

- You need to fix your app, lastpass! I can't sign into anything. Even we I go to the app in the browser I can't get it to open either! So I can even grab my csv data to copy/paste to 1password, or another password manager like that! What's going on Lastpass?! Did you do a bunch of diversity hires? How's that working out for you?

- I agree with the COUNTLESS poor reviews after the most recent update: having to re-install continually, little white box on clicking instead of (what used to be) the usual larger box with all features/options readily available. Been using this for a long, long time but since I see that all of my fellow users complaints have gone unnoticed or un-patched, I'll be looking to 1Pass or something more closely monitored and responsive to paying customers.
