• (2025-08-02) Verena Moser: full of problems: while dictating, the addon will often crash, such that even trying to turn it off won't work for some minutes in a row, then all of a sudden all you've dictated a few minutes ago will appear at some random part of your text where you are now with the cursor :D :D some words are capitalized when they happen to match some random song name. You spend more time ccorrecting than you save. Worst of all,dev too busy / doesnt care responding to bug reports.

As someone who thinks faster than I can type, voice-to-text has always been essential for me. This tool lets me effortlessly dump my thoughts into a document without the bottleneck of typing, freeing me to focus on creativity. I also appreciate that it’s browser-based, allowing seamless updates without compatibility issues or database limitations. Most importantly, it handles my Southern accent better than most dictation tools. Others often misinterpret my speech, making corrections more frustrating than helpful. Voice-In, however, adapts to my cadence, making it a fantastic accessibility tool that simplifies writing for everyone. Highly recommend!
• (2025-07-28) Monica Baehr: Works well and is very handy for Gmail and other Google/Chrome functions. A bit tricky the first time to figure out location of microphone and the action sequence, but after that, no problem.

Also, it randomly deletes what you've dictated. Absolutely worse than useless. Have not felt compelled to write a review before today but I am furious at the people who created this horrible app.

One challenge I persistently faced is the extension abruptly stops writing the dictation, and it requires restarting. No, not because of the idle timeout. I like the idle timeout in certain ways. Apart from that the punctuations are not getting typed out.
