BlockSender has added an a lot of functionality to my gmail that I've been missing. Support has been incredible. If you're concerned over the negative reviews - read the documentation. • (2025-03-22) Bill Brown: Works well for me - BUT - make sure you use the "edit" feature to change from Delete to Trash and vice-versa as well as when changing "None/Bounce". I have 240+ "phrases/Subjects/Names" and 50+ domains/emails blocked.
• (2025-03-21) torchy junk: Zero customer support. Have emailed, used their form and no response. Blocks emails that you did not add and there is no way to verify if the tool is working. Blocked emails that should go to trash remain in spam folder - so it really looks like this thing isn't working. Worse, costs a fortune to include several emails. I was hoping the bounce feature would get some persistent spammers out of my mailbox. Who knows? It might be time to ask for my money back.

I was hoping that I could use this to bounce the occasional message, but at a minimum of $49 for an yearly subscription, no thanks. Why software companies no longer sell licences instead of trying to force customers into paying for an expensive or monthly subscription is beyond me. Deleting.
• (2025-01-18) Klaus Neubarth: blocksender.io that is incredibly effective in preventing email stalking. From personal experience, I can vouch for its reliability and effectiveness. Finaly I have a clean inbox. I highly recommend giving it a try!

• (2024-10-02) Mercy Mwai: App worked very well for me when I was going through a disastrous breakage. It helped me block my ex from all his crazy emails and threats. If you are going through something like that or someone is driving you crazy with emails then I would definitely recommend the app. Customer service also great I had some technical issues when I subscribed and they fixed it immediately. Overall, worth every dime

The filters feature is pretty useful in identifying different ways to block new email ids that someone might create to spam. I also like how multiple accounts can be linked to it so that the block is easily applied across multiple accounts. I wish I didn't have to use Chrome everytime to use this app, maybe it would be worth it to have this app installed on Safari as well? Overall definitely very useful app!
• (2024-06-15) Claudia Clark: What a great service and company. Last year I had a very bad experience with my ex-husband stalking me and sending me horrible emails after our divorce. This app blocked all emails and I never even had to see them come through. This was a huge improvement in my well-being. I love having the control to add/remove any emails to block at any time. The customer service is outstanding as well. Ricky on the support team was especially helpful and went above and beyond with questions I had and great communication throughout the process. Highly recommend!

I enrolled with Blocksender and as more spam came into my computer I blocked them and requested to have the false notice sent to them. Gradually over time the spam started to reduce and now I am not getting any at all. If you do your bit and enter every spam email the system works!!! I am now not needing Blocksender so their success has meant they are losing a customer but I would not hesitate in renewing Blocksender if I ever start receiving spam again.

The payment default is YEARLY and not MONTHLY which can catch people out when subscribing if they're not careful and is unusual and suggests this is deceptive.

I have sent an email to the site requesting cancellation and details so no need to reply asking me to send an email.

It does lack the ability to select all or multiple blocks and thus change the settings for them en-mass, rather than having to change each block individually which is tedious and time-consuming. I'm confident that the developers will agree and add this simple functionality boost soon.

• (2023-02-08) Candace Spence: I added this extension to block spam emails and I had high hopes but after adding the extension and removing it a few times to try and refresh it, I still only see part of the corner box of operation and makes it very difficult to use. I have since removed this extension and will be looking at another extension.

• (2023-01-31) Herbert Kloiber: Bis jetzt habe ich bei Gmail keine Möglichkeit gehabt Spam-E-Mails zu blocken. Nun, mit "Block Sender" habe ich endlich ein Werkzeug, um diese einfach und sicher abzustellen. Bisher beste Blockiersoftware für Gmail. Finde ich super!
