- (2025-06-21) Am Mad: memory leaked, used 3 GB+ of ram only for this extension then crashed , I have 250+ tabs
- (2025-06-03) Tarek Alkabbani: This is probably a must have application for any professional out there, especially one's who tend to work from home. I perform academic research, which usually means I have to be jumping topics multiple times a day every day. This combined with the fact I use my personal machine, balancing work from life is extremely difficult. Using bookmarks is not really an answer as they aren't built for these types of workflows, and they definitely aren't meant to be updated continuously. TabXpert fixes all these problems and then some. All of it is done in the background for you. There is a perceived learning curve at the beginning, but as I said its really only perceived. I would love to see more configurable shortcuts in the future but the development has been consistent and high quality. Finally, the support the dev has both on reddit and through email is bar none. I really see this approach of workflow and tab management becoming the norm, especially for professionals, in the future.
- (2025-05-30) Joseph Vaughan: After trying out the free version for a few months, I decided to purchase a Pro license. I tried many different approaches to the problem of tab bloat and, more important to me, the problem of finding a way to group tabs in windows according to the topic/area of work. tabXpert solved both of these problems for me and the ability to sync across devices was icing on the cake. When I had a problem with my account, I received really fast responses and a really fast resolution from Andriy.
- (2025-05-19) Trevor Dearham: My roles have involved researching and developing. I tend to need to switch between various tasks and so tended to have 100s of tabs open at once across multiple windows. Chrome tends so occasionally not restore open tabs and so I would lose the in-progress work (I would save links for pages that would be useful to refer back to but not something only relevant to the current tasks). To overcome thus, I used to use an extension to save the browsing session (which tabs are open in which windows), but this extension has revolutionised how I work. Now I can close windows with in-progress work when I switch to something else and re-open them when I need to switch back, allowing me to have a small number of tabs open at once (10-50 rather than 100-1000). The few times I've needed to request support, I've received a response quickly. I recommend this extension.
- (2025-05-11) Mihail Popescu: This is the best extension for tabs management! Also the developer support is really great! I recommend this fantastic extension for everyone using browsers!
- (2025-05-07) Crystal Identity: I was using this extension faithfully for a very long time... Unfortunately, the extension got corrupted a few days ago. When I 'repaired' it, I found that my entire tab history going back over YEARS had been deleted!!! I shook my head and thought: "Oh well, these things happen sometimes, it can't be helped." Then I saw the update saying that the unlimited free accounts were causing the devs to lose money, so they were changing it so it can only save five closed sessions. I was willing to give it another go with a Plus (or even Pro) subscription. However, before I could even do that, TabXpert suddenly stopped working. I rebooted my computer and looked at my Chrome Extensions page, and found that TabXpert had become corrupted AGAIN!!! I 'repaired' it, again, and I lost all the new tabs I had saved from the past few days. I can no longer trust TabXpert to work properly, so I am no longer willing to sign up for the premium version. If the extension gets corrupted so easily, it means there's something wrong with the code, so even if I pay money, it will not be worth it if I keep losing my saved tabs. This is really too bad, because this extension was such a godsend for me for a really long time. I will just have to go looking for a new tab-saving extension that actually works, and doesn't crash like this. (I have now switched to Tab Keeper by jgeorge.dev which is "Free Forever & Open Source".)
- (2025-05-06) Kavish: Not for me, clearly. Feels very unintuitive. Buttons that just do things without clear indications what they'll do. I click a website in a saved session and all my open tabs close for some reason. I just want to save my sessions for later. This feels way too overcomplicated
- (2025-05-05) Chaos Online Payments: Don't like I cannot have as pop-up within browser. Not compact on my 11" notebook or 10" tablet. EDIT: Uninstalled and installed and just lost 400 tabs! Not happy! Impossible to read text in this dark theme with Light Blue and White text. Illegible... Need to add ability to shuffle/drag things around and make using on tablet easier. I just want to save my tabs, create groups, restore windows when ctrl-w closes the window instead of the tab (due to only tabs hidden that don't match current domain URL) - so closes window. Need to be less overwhelming. Needs compact view like TSM Tab Sess Manager please. EDIT: I am not indian!? Has your account been hacked? Are you a racist developer?!? ???
- (2025-05-03) Valery Plotnikov: This is actually the first time I, a hardcore libre software advocate, considered using a paid version, because the extension is invaluable. I'm a tab-session "power user" - I have six Firefox profiles with tens of sessions with hundreds of tabs each, thanks to old Firefox-only extensions that made it possible. So this was the one extension that allowed me to use Brave (a libre and privacy-first Chromium-based browser) at all. Contrary to all my expectations, this one does not have an idiotic UI, it does not crash, it does not lose data, it does not change its interface on every major release, it does not require manually backing up the whole browser profile in case something goes wrong - quite the opposite, it will work and import your tabs even after a browser apocalypse. And it even suggests creating a backup automatically! I feel like this is the first time I see a developer who knows what backups are, and understands that when dealing with user data, it is really important to make sure that no matter what happens, users can always access their data. I think 5 sessions is enough for a normal user, and if they rely on sessions heavily, then this becomes their essential tool, so it makes sense to pay for it - it's not even very expensive. I was waiting for years for someone to create an extension for sessions in Chrome-based browsers, and finally there is one person who did. There is no libre alternative - and no alternative at all. "Normal people" can even use it for free! And make sure it actually works well and fits their workflow before having to use a paid version.
- (2025-04-29) Yang Liu: Sorry. I hate to say this, but I'm a poor guy, the new free plan forced me to give up this extension.
- (2025-04-27) Ali550n: Incridible how this extension changed my form to use the navegator, thank you guys <3
- (2025-04-27) vordan: Session management without the ability to sandbox the sessions is useless. Yes, there are some tab hoarders which will love to see their tabs neatly groupped and saved, but having separate, sandboxed sessions for each tab (or a group of tabs) is a must, especially if you are a developer, do a support of different applications, work in marketing with multiple social media accounts, etc. And yes, I know that you can have different profiles in the paid versions, but that is just hiding the already tragic user juggling situation that Chrome offers. Different users in a browser is useful only if you have to share your computer with somebody else, or have a need for work and private accounts. But, who does it anymore? And having this option hidden behind a paywall is even more problematic. If you need it, you can have the same results with two separate extensions --- Edited after the response from Mr. Kiyanovsky: First, thanks for the answer. By "sandboxed sessions", I mean separting the site session context in the same browser, but different tabs. The most simple example is, say, be able to login to some site with different usernames. Yes, using different user profiles does this, but it is awkward and, if you have a lot of sites/accounts to separate, quickly becomes difficult to manage. I am a developer in a mid-size development team for ERP apps, and we need to have different sessions for each of our customers, when doing development or support. I have a friend with a marketing agency, and they need separate sessions for working with social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc.) for them and for their different clients (each of them having a different accounts). https://sessionbox.io/ is one good example, there is MultiLogin, etc. I am not associated with them, except being their user. You have good foundation here, just add this feature, and it'll be a winner! --- Edit 2: Here is an extension we use every day, and it separates sessions from tab to tab, in a same browser window. It's called MultiLogin, can be downloaded here: https://chrome-stats.com/d/ijfgglilaeakmoilplpcjcgjaoleopfi/download Unfortunately, the original author(s) didn't upgrade it to Manifest 3, so it got kicked out of the Chrome Web store. We are still using it, though, as a side load
- (2025-04-26) Deep Lahaka: Gets corrupted often, and on top of that they are basically killing the free version. Who would want an extension to save 5 closed sessions! I was considering supporting the devs but the extension has gotten worse over time. Once the update goes through this is a dead extension for 90% of the users as even the plus version doesn't have cloud saves which is the only way to deal with the extension getting corrupted, would recommend jump ship now instead of supporting these greedy devs.
- (2025-04-24) steven wang: Oh no, used to be free but new update will make it only be able to save 5 closed sessions. Not fit for my purposes anymore, jumping ship unfortunately! It did work great. Best to the devs, I get it, but still for me, very sad :(
- (2025-04-23) Pichit Cheirsilpa: Great support
- (2025-04-18) Daniel Hochheimer: After the next update, the extension will only allow 5 closed sessions on the free plan (previously, unlimited), which makes this extension useless without paying money on an ongoing basis (which I'm not willing to do for such basic functionality). Nobody needs such an extension to manage 5 closed sessions.
- (2025-04-17) -Hello: Absolutely horrible garbage, I was trying to use it and upon closing a single tab while having this open for no more than 2 minutes, this closed every single one of my tabs but itself, all of them as "single instances" meaning that with the exception of the couple handful that were last in my browser, I have to dive into my history to find older opened tabs that I constantly leave open due to always having an use for them that may have been there for over a year (the reason I installed this in the first place). I don't know what possible reason you could have for designing such a thing and allowing it to close other tabs while it isn't even in focus, but leaving it as a default that you can trigger by complete accident is ridiculous. Do not install this.
- (2025-04-16) Andrew Horner: TabXpert does everything I need and is astoundingly well-supported by the Developer, Andriy. I've used various tab grouping extensions over the years and switched to TabXpert from Sync Tab Groups. I had a minor problem at the outset but this was caused by the groups having been created previously by Sync Tab Groups. Andriy responded instantly to my query and explained how to resolve the issue. I'm completely satisfied with what TabXpert does for me. 5* well deserved.
- (2025-04-13) Jai Jai Publishing: Hated Bookmarks then loved Chrome Groups. Then I hated Groups. Then I tested 4 Tab Group Manager Extensions for Chrome. 1 was too complicated; 2 were too basic; TabXpert was GOLDILOCKS -- JUST RIGHT! The more I use it, the more ways I find to be effective and efficient. PS. I will definitely give feedback to the Developer on things to correct glitches, or ways to improve - if I find, or think of, any! "Better to improve an existing road than build a new one!" Ancient Indus Valley proverb.
- (2025-04-12) Clive Thomas: Sterling extension. I've been using it for a couple years now, and I simply won't work without it. Does everything I need it to to, even replaces bookmarks in many instances.
- (2025-04-11) p a t r i c k royce: appears promising! maybe, this could be a useful tab-manager! 😁
- (2025-04-10) Igor Shashaev: Great solution, this is what I was looking for since times of old Opera! Thanks Andrey!
- (2025-04-04) kaleab tesfu: It's the most decent session manager I've managed to download since sidekick browser's same function became paid feature. Good job!
- (2025-03-31) LERYEO: Amazing extension and the developer is awesome!
- (2025-03-15) Rob M. (Rob): I've had the chance to use TabXpert for a while now and it's really the only alternative to The Marvelous Suspender. It puts all other tab management extensions to shame. One thing to keep in mind though is when you do completely disable TMS, unsuspend all your tabs first. Otherwise, all suspended tabs in every open window will be automatically and moved to the Closed Tabs section of TabXpert. Closed tabs may appear as ... with their favicon. When they are reopened from TabXpert, they will be restored properly. I'd recommend using Tiny Suspender in conjunction until TabXpert decides to add a dedicated tab suspender option, not just an option to suspend all tabs when opening a window session.
- (2025-03-14) Drex LuxX: early on I would have given this 5 stars but now this app (set to window and/or tab auto open) does not open.. side panel blank, the options of opening not even in drop menu, can not drop back-up in sidepanel (only wants to d/l or save again), the refresh is not in menu neither.. reinstalling does nothing to fix and the browser is up-to-date.. once fixed by restarting as windows update had been put off but that was only a fix that worked to open a tab that never loaded and once refreshed brought chrome to this page. Losing this extension and looking at going back to taboutline again even though it is quite tedious but stays consistent. No idea why it stops working/loading
- (2025-03-12) Arpad Orfi: Very powerful, well worked-out, very capable piece. Logically implemented, very practical. Thank you! This extension is superb!
- (2025-03-11) Jack G: Great app and free features does what i need. No crash or lost data in over 3 years of using.
- (2025-03-07) Roger Watkins: Very useful tool - one of the best tab managers I have used - the free version isn't too restrictive either - I will be reviewing the paid features to see if I can improve productivity even more!
- (2025-03-07) Faisal Abidi: Been using this app for a couple years. I love it, it is an integral part of keeping my work and personal browsing organized over a hundred research topics.
- (2025-03-03) Puck Puck: Brave and Chrome especially are barely functional without this extension; highly recommend!
- (2025-02-14) Alexander McColl: Yes yes yes this is exactly what I need and I wish I'd known about session managers years ago! Works perfectly for my needs and let's me open Chrome without the existential dread of it probably crashing from millions of windows and tabs. It lets me dive deep into a project for a couple of days, then shelve it while I handle other things, then come right back to it and continue. I can both use my browser to deep dive, opening 50+ tabs across multiple windows, and also just to open it and watch a youtube video or read an article. The excellent demo videos on the website made my transition very smooth and easy. Thank you Andriy!! ----- I've now been using this for 1.5 years and I LOVE IT. I've never had any problems, crashes or lost tabs, ever. Fantastic extension. I've recently purchased a subscription purely to support the dev. The best part for me is the way it works in the background so that I know at any point I can close Chrome, my PC can crash, anything can happen, and whatever I was working on will be there to be restored. I also love how there's so many different UI options - a pop up Window, a tab, and now a sidebar. They fit all my different workflows. ----- Update as of Feb 2025. Have now used this for 2 years and it's just flawless. I now use Brave for their continued support of Manifest v2 extensions and it works perfectly. It has never crashed my browser and when I have experienced crashes, I have never lost a single tab ever. The web-sync is essentially instant and has never failed for me, so that I can seamlessly carry work over from one computer to another. This software is so good I just forget it exists. It's actually incredible and I recommend it to anyone who uses a web browser basically.

- (2025-02-06) godsgift uloamaka: Makes my tabs session very well organized.
- (2025-02-04) Andy Exter: this extension saves me i really couldn't do without it, i have way too many tabs to keep track of. highly recommend to anyone who thinks google bookmarks are inefficient and there are too many tabs to pin!
- (2025-01-31) Yhee So: Very Very Good
- (2025-01-23) David Lafon: Here's an extension that does the job admirably, and when coupled with The Marvellous Suspender, you reach an unequalled level of comfort. My computer no longer heats up, and the fan no longer spins like a helicopter. I can't recommend it highly enough!
- (2025-01-14) Alazmi: Amazing, simple and up to the point with everything you need !
- (2025-01-08) Corentin Briat: Amazing tool. Highly recommended!
- (2025-01-03) Lizao Li: Amazing! Very good replacement to Workona.
- (2024-12-31) Enyo Aluka: Just plain amazing. I'm still learning it, but I love that it retains every change even when you close your browser.
- (2024-12-28) Paulo Calado: fantastic extension
- (2024-12-19) Roberto Medina: TabXpert is an effective tool for organizing browsing sessions using the PARA method: - PROJECTS: Save sessions for active tasks for quick access and reduced clutter. - AREAS: Keep ongoing resources in persistent sessions, such as frequently visited sites. - REFERENCE: Archive infrequently used sessions for easy retrieval, replacing static bookmarks. - ARCHIVE: Safely close and organize sessions while keeping them accessible. The user-friendly drag-and-drop interface simplifies tab management, and features like session naming and closed tab recovery enhance reliability. TabXpert dramatically improves productivity with features like auto-grouping and group focus management, making complex workflows efficient. With excellent performance and responsive support, TabXpert is a must-have for creating a well-organized browsing experience. Highly recommended!
- (2024-12-09) Hupo nya: Awesome!
- (2024-11-18) Manel Arribes Cid: I have just migrated from Spaces to this and, honestly, I should have done it much sooner. This extension is just fantastic. Functions like being able to move tabs between sessions without having to open them first or being able to open tabs in a suspended state are so incredibly useful and timesaving.
- (2024-11-09) SReza S: I had to go through more than 10 similar extensions to finally find this. I was looking for an offline and local tab/session management extension with the ability to automatically keeping the sessions updated with the last changes. I hope it remains as is.
- (2024-10-24) Nathan Coleman: This extension works great! Honestly super useful for managing multiple projects. I love that pinned tabs stay even when switching projects!
- (2024-10-21) Solo kom: The names of the saved groups are missing when loading a session. This basic feature is barred behind a paywall. The subscription is very expensive for an extension, costing $4 per month(!). Just for comparison, Todoist Pro, which is its own app any way more features, is also $4/month. So this extension is not a usable option in its free version and way too expensive with a subscription.
