  • (2024-06-30) Alexander McColl: Yes yes yes this is exactly what I need and I wish I'd known about session managers years ago! Works perfectly for my needs and let's me open Chrome without the existential dread of it probably crashing from millions of windows and tabs. It lets me dive deep into a project for a couple of days, then shelve it while I handle other things, then come right back to it and continue. I can both use my browser to deep dive, opening 50+ tabs across multiple windows, and also just to open it and watch a youtube video or read an article. The excellent demo videos on the website made my transition very smooth and easy. Thank you Andriy!! ----- I've now been using this for 1.5 years and I LOVE IT. I've never had any problems, crashes or lost tabs, ever. Fantastic extension. I've recently purchased a subscription purely to support the dev. The best part for me is the way it works in the background so that I know at any point I can close Chrome, my PC can crash, anything can happen, and whatever I was working on will be there to be restored. I also love how there's so many different UI options - a pop up Window, a tab, and now a sidebar. They fit all my different workflows.
  • (2024-03-09) Tom: Handles large numbers of tabs very well, and when I did have a problem with it the dev was able to resolve it quickly despite my initial overreaction (it wasn't even a bug with the extension, it was actually a chrome bug).
  • (2024-02-25) Wulfher Yar: Самый лучший менеджер сессий. Работает исправно, бэкапы делает и восстанавливает корректно. В целом очень удобно. Надеюсь в будущем не подведет.
  • (2024-01-28) Jim: The extension is among the best of the best browser extensions in the world. I've been using tabXpert for many years now and it has made my browser-based research at least a 100X more efficient and productive. The latest version (as of 24-01-28) makes tabXpert even better. I always start a browser session using tabXpert and anything that needs serious knowledge management gets clipped to Notion. But without tabXpert's sophisticated tab management features this workflow simply would not flow. Thanks Andriy in Ukraine. You are an awesome developer! 5 stars all the way!!!
  • (2023-10-17) George Porter: Currently using TabXpert, and it is GREAT!! It's so nice to categorize by tabs with different SAVED windows that I can go back to when I want to work with those particular websites. Andriy Kiyanovskyy helped me with an issue I had with double clicking saved windows and they were not opening. It ended up being the fact that I had tabs in those windows referencing PDFs from an external drive. So after elimating those tabs (while, of course, the PDFs had already been saved to my external drive), opening the windows from TabXpert was working again.
  • (2023-10-16) Shawn Park: Warning! This extension will solve all of your tab management needs, wants, and desires. LOL. Seriously. tabXpert is on a whole new level. Just the configuration options/settings alone are insane! I have been using it for about five days and have loved it so much that I subscribed to the annual plan before my trial was over. That says a lot. I had to contact Audrey for an issue, but it was something on my end and not with the tabXpert extension. But he was very quick at responding and was very helpful in his recommendation to fix my issue (it was a suspending tab issue with an old version of the Great Suspender that I was still using). I am getting used to the UI of tabXpert (it does take some getting used to), but it's very powerful, and I love how I can drag tabs between my different closed/saved sessions. Another feature I like is that it automatically saves each of my browser session's open tabs (and closed tabs) and stores them as a session. For example, if I am on my laptop, close my Chrome browser (with a lot of tabs still open), and go to my desktop and open Chrome, in tabXpert it will have all of my open tabs from my laptop in a closed session, which is super handy because I can then open up that session and continue with those tabs (even though they are from my laptop). tabXpert also lets you export all your saved tabs to multiple formats so you can always back up your data. And the synchronization between all of my different computers and Chrome sessions has been perfect. This is the extension for you if you require a tab management/bookmark system.
  • (2023-10-10) Salep: It is great really but why u dont let us disable tab suspension? I already have a better extention for I dont want tabxpert to suspend my tabs
  • (2023-09-23) 給給: 太棒了,這是我夢寐以求的網頁選項卡管理軟體: 和Tabs Outliner 互補~ 希望可以在未來可以看到 Tabs Outliner 與 TabXpert 許多優點合併在一塊~
  • (2023-08-10) Raiden Roy: Does what it advertises, but it could be better, especially the user experience. it isn't great, TBH. Here's a suggestion to make it lil bit better. let us move/copy selected tabs into any session from the context menu. coz now, it's a time-consuming process. Dragging needs a major update. Another gripe: can't drag tabs to different sessions in search mode. why? This one is really damn annoying. I've got a bunch more feature requests I'd like to throw in, but I won't list 'em here, 'cause it'd be a headache to manage. So, how 'bout creating an empty repository on GitHub w/a readme, kinda like this one: https://github.com/Keypirinha/Keypirinha? That way, we can keep tabs on all the issues and features. & I'm curious, why all these permissions? Other open-source tab managers don't ask for them. How can I know & be sure of that you're don't have anything personal that can destroy me? How can you provide the guarantee that you won't snoop around your users life? Also, Below is the copy-pasted response to you w/bonnie, so you can reply wherever you want. Well, it seems like Bonnie was right in the below comment, as I've had a similar experience myself! see I'm the type of user who reads comments to see what others are saying, basically a leecher! so a month ago, when I saw this comment, I assumed the user was trying to drag the extension down with a one-star review, just to keep it from climbing the ranks. So, I brushed it off. But now, the same thing has happened to me. Whether coincidental or not, the issue seems to stand true. but I don't know how to provide you the steps to reproduce it. I know, I'm stumped as well! I'm clueless about how the heck it occurred and exactly when it happened. My best guess is that when the browser crashed, I rebooted it and restored all the tabs using the browser's popup, rather than going to the extension tab and selecting the session. I started where I left off and honestly can't recall if I even glanced at the extension tab. I'm unsure if I did or didn't, & I don't know what files you need I'll later mailing you about it, By the way, it looks like I might be in line for a $150 lifetime license. Haha, talk about luck! 😜
  • (2023-07-27) Aleksei Sazonov: Love utility, offline support (not forced cloud sync) and everything else
  • (2023-07-27) Emmanuel: It has potential, but unfortunately it can't save multiple windows into one session, only tabs. And also, the "active tabs" viewer only shows one window at a time. It would be great to have a general view of all the active windows, in order to drag and drop a tab from one window to another. I've tested ALL extensions like this one, and this one has the potential to be the best one. But it's not quite there yet. Another suggestion: add the function to suspend tabs.
  • (2023-07-14) Craig H: probably one of the better tab managers out there, cheaper too for all the features. but whenever I load up chrome, I get duplicate tabs added into the active window, or just random tabs readded back that I closed days before, seriously annoying when you have hundreds of tabs. doesn't always happen but it does from time to time.
  • (2023-07-05) Maxi Peñaranda: when I open a saved session they appear with unnamed session in the "active session" group and therefore when I close them then they are added to my closed session. The problme is that is added with an unnamed group when I alaredy have them with the name
  • (2023-06-13) Elly: This lousy extension closes all open windows and tabs organized into groups - without asking for confirmation! It loses all its organization of tabs and windows.
  • (2023-06-12) Richie Sevrinsky: Fantastic session manager! Killer features are the intuitive organization and the blazing-fast type-ahead search -- highly recommend. Also, support (via email and subreddit) was clear and quick.
  • (2023-05-18) Denis Crema: Great product, been using for over 12 months and love it!
  • (2023-04-27) Bruno Ely: Best tab manager by far.
  • (2023-04-19) Michael Schaaf: I love this extension as many of the users do who installed it. I have my roots in IT and project-/program-management and QA: So I am really pedantic and censorious when it comes to software (and hardware). But it is not even an exaggeration when I follow the co-users and define tabXpert as essential and indispensable when you have to live with literally thousands of tabs sorted in groups and sessions. I tried many different tabmanagers before, too, but this one simply is the best, no doubt about it. And the support? Exceptional, fast, professional and competent, state of the art. So the whole package is an outstanding experience and the only thing I am sorry about is that I only can tick the five stars: tabXpert deserves ten out of five.
  • (2023-04-09) Charisse Yee: The new UI will take some getting used to. I've been using this extension since the start where I got to test out the cloud sync for free before subscription was released. The suspended tabs doesn't seem to work? I've set it to 'yes' in the setting but it doesn't seem to do so. Edit: The suspended tabs still doesn't work. This major update has resulted in me losing incognito closed tabs left and right. Like its not getting saved if I close multiple tabs without opening the menu to check after each tab gets closed. It will only save the last closed tab and even that doesn't last long as after awhile I went to check and it disappeared (this disappearing takes 10 minutes or more to happen and I believe it might be due to the DB as all the other closed tabs did not disappear since I did an export before the last recent closed tab(s). I had tested it multiple time to see and can confirm that any closed tabs that wasn't in the export will disappear after a period of time.) (All this takes time if you ever want me to reproduce the steps as its not 100% always happening but its still happening when in the old ui version, this never happen before.) I hope this bug can get fixed as it sort of makes me paranoid of losing my tabs unless I constantly check if it gets saved properly and export it to ensure it doesn't disappear on me especially since its incognito where there is no history to search for. Thank you for reading.
  • (2023-04-02) Daniel C: Simply the best of all Tab/Session Managers for Chrome (and i've tried ALOT!) The Drag'n'Drop and many more advanced Feature makes tabXpert just a better SessionBuddy/1Tab in every aspect. I can also use this addon as a kind of Workspace Tool and it fits perfectly into my Work Routine, thus also boosting my Productvity. At first it was a little overwhelming, but the the Demo/Tutorial Videos answered every question i had. Still there are a couple of Features i wish this Addon had (nothing is perfect, but still 5 Stars) -) Remember MultiMonitor Window Positions (after browser restart and/or session reopening) -) Viewing 2 (or more) Sessions SideBySide in the Dashboard (tiled view) -) Quicker opening of Sessions with ALOT of Tabs (compared to sessionbuddy + marvelous suspender, this one is a little slower on a browser restart)
  • (2023-03-30) Jamiyah Davis: Recently installed the extension to my chrome browser and so far I'm loving it! I just wanted to know is there a limit on closed sessions or is there unlimited sessions? Thank you!
  • (2023-03-29) Bonnie Smith: This deleted almost all of my tabs in every window!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • (2023-03-24) iRokr: I just started using this extension but whenever I open Chrome it automatically closes. I can't find anything in the documentation or online, unfortunately. I'm really hoping to get this extension working cause it might finally let me close all the tabs I tend to keep open.
  • (2023-03-17) Ioannis Koukoutsas: I've tried a most of the tab group and management expansions available. In the end, when I found this one, I changed my default browser from Firefox to Chrome, simply because this one expansion is by far the best, and has transformed how I go about my daily business. I save in productivity far more, than from any other software I have, including motion or Onenote.. This is indespensable and I barely use bookmarks anymore.. I just use this, with various Windows named accordingly to the job/task I need to work on, with the necessary tabs already saved. Don't miss out, try it for five days. I promise you will be suprised at how good this works.
  • (2023-03-17) Cheong Gwen Yit: Switching over to tabXpert from Workona for almost 2 years, don't have any complain about this product, this is a complete product that works flawlessly to me, it is stable and faster than other tab manager I tried before. At the beginning, I feel the UI doesn't feel modern and I don't quite like it, but after using it longer, I feel the list pattern UI is actually easier to manage :) Anyone who didn't tried it before should give it a try, you wont regret it! ^^
  • (2023-03-03) Pavlos Vasileiadis: The potential is here, and this is why I chose this over Workona. The one thing I'm missing, however, is the ability to keep some tabs constantly open as part of all sessions. Support told me that a similar functionality will be added soon, so I'm looking forward to the new release. Keep up the good work!
  • (2023-02-21) Sergey: Nice one! Has everything I need for session management and is not overflooded by useless bells and whistles at the same time. A swiss-army-knife for its purpose.
  • (2023-02-11) zerosix: I moved from Workona and this one has it all I wanted. Easy session selection, auto save tabs to session.etc. UI could be more streamlined and modern tho. Keep the good work, guys.
  • (2023-02-04) cheldy zp: thank you very helpfull
  • (2023-01-30) 炙燒鮭魚讚(benny): Stopping Workona and switching to Tabxpert (and subscribing) was the best decision I ever made, right features for the right price I just want to ask if there is a place for users to discuss with each other or share their experience, I don't see related communities anywhere (except here) Also, do you have any info on updates, I look forward to hearing about more exciting updates for this extension
  • (2023-01-29) Mohamad Nossier: Super! Loved it <3 --- Just need to has its own zoom settings. When I change the default zoom of chrome to >100% the pop-up doesn't fit anymore cause it follows the default zoom assigned to chrome. I think it would be better if it has its own zoom setting and that the pop-up size expand/adapt with changing the zoom level so it fits and no scrollbars are needed.
  • (2023-01-11) David Linsalata: I've been searching for years for a simple, solid way to manage my tabs across multiple devices. This extension is the answer. It not only gives me a super simple way to manage different tab sessions on my computer, but by paying a small amount, I can sync those sessions between my laptop and desktop. (Now if only I could have it on my phone! :D But that's less important.) For people trying this out, I'd give two pieces of advice: 1. Don't be overwhelmed by the amount of options. You don't need to understand or configure everything to have a great experience. But when you do want to tweak things as you get more comfortable, know the options - and videos explaining them - exist. 2. Don't be swayed by the UI. My first thought was that this looked less polished than other tab managers. And in some ways, it is. But it is also much simpler and straightforward to use than many of the other fancier-looking ones, and what it lacks in any fancy polish it makes up for in solid usability. My one request for Andrey: I'd love if you could clarify the privacy practices listed in the Chrome store. It says you collect tons of information, but I suspect that isn't true (e.g. I don't think you are storing peoples' website passwords - just the ones they use for their tabxpert account, right?). Updating that would be great to help everyone understand what you are collecting or not.
  • (2022-12-11) Zoe Zebra: I'm a multiple window/multiple tab habitual user - right now 40 windows and 2500 tabs open (which is not max I've ever had) and till now I haven't seen good session/tab manager to help me to manage this situation. Other extensions I tried either lack some basic features or can't cope with massive number of tabs and windows I use (in extreme cases creating tab-mess). Then I came across tabXpert - and I must say I've been quite impressed so far. Finally good and clean interface, no problem at all with speed with my tab/window number, and most features I need just at fingertips - moving tabs, merging windows etc. Also, video tutorials created by the author are very helpful to get started. However, to make this extension complete, there is one really important feature needed - tab history preservation. That is - when restoring closed session, the tabs in a session should also restore individual back/forward history. This is super important - sometimes when I do a research and return to a certain tab, I often need to click on back to return to previous website where I clicked the links to trace certain information. In tabXpert when session gets closed and restored, it doesn't restore tabs history unfortunately. However interestingly, when I close tabs in Chrome, then restore from Chrome's history, the individual tab's history is preserved, so there must be a way to do it in the extension as welll? Perhaps if not single API call, then maybe some logic implemented to emulate this? As otherwise I still have to keep all my sessions active and cluttered with all chrome windows open.
  • (2022-11-27) Đorđe Jović: You cannot see other browser windows with their tabs next to other windows...
  • (2022-11-05) Tunde Glover: Currently using this in Brave browser. As of the last update Tabs Outliner stopped working and I kinda' freaked out! I love that thing but sadly it seems to have been dead for a while now... Found this and it's amazing. Does almost everything I wanted from Tabs Outliner, and uses tags to as a way to 'name' windows. It also has a grouping and auto grouping feature which looks REALLY powerful but I'm just getting my feet wet at the moment. I'll experiment with it more later... I also LOVE the fact it has an export feature of your currently used tabs. As one of those weird people that always has a million tabs open that I 'need' (sure...) it's extra peace of mind. All in all, I'm very happy with this. I hope they continue to update this app and also please make sure you do testing in Brave Browser so it's always compatible. So far this thing is worth it's weight in gold. I even got the paid version just to support the devs. Keep up the good work guys!
  • (2022-11-02) ely peachy: I think its great overall but Extension crashed first then bringing BSOD, after restart had to press chrome tab restore and decided to uninstall extension, bad move on my part, while the 100 tabs I had open had tabexpert icon, meaning still didn't load. After uninstall, all of them disappeared, bye bye tabs. Don't want to go thru that again.
  • (2022-10-24) Alex Mag: Все хорошо, только не хватает поддержки отображения групп вкладок - эти группы никак не видно! Вроде идет запрос и устанавливается еще какое то дополнение tabXpert Helper, но изменений не увидел.
  • (2022-10-23) Timothy Martin: Users beware. There's a serious issue with this extension. If you cut more then 100 tabs from a session and accedentally paste them in the closed tab part of a session. Anything after the 100 cut tabs will be lost. This is a huge oversight. (Why give the useless option of pasting to a closed tab anyway? Who came up with that idea?) Besides that it does what it delivers exactly what it promises. Though I wish tabs would start out auto suspended.
  • (2022-02-24) Charles Heckscher: One of those rare extensions produced by an individual with dedication, intelligence, and an element of love. It transforms the browser experience: one can work in dozens or hundreds of tabs flexibly and easily, even on a low-powered computer It is full of clever aspects: for example, you can reach into a closed window and open just one tab from it in your current window, which is often useful. It has built-in tab list that makes it easy to clean up after sessions by deleting or moving tabs around. It is fully compatible with Chrome's "Tab Groups" feature, which is rare in other similar programs. It is reliable and stable, and the developer is extremely responsive to any questions. I have spent a year or so searching for and trying tab managers, and this is definitely the winner.
  • (2022-02-21) moi lois: saved groupd tabs not working

  • (2022-02-09) Dirk Wouter DU Plooy: This product is making my life much easier. Beyond that, many a time you buy an extension or app, and you are left in an abyss, in terms of support. The developer communicates with his users in terms of feature requests and if they are not possible workable workarounds. It is an absolute pleasure communicating with him.
  • (2022-02-04) Alex L: Awesome productivity tool! Love this, migrating to it from Tab Outliner - this extension is more modern, has more features, handles browser crashes better and does not rely on google drive for cloud sync, so can easily be used with Brave, which is faster and respects users privacy. Actually allowed me to switch from Chrome to Brave without losing any productivity.
  • (2022-01-21) matteo savini: great extension, used for years without a single issue. i got in contact with the developer, as well, and i found him helpful. would deserve 12 stars, if possible!
  • (2022-01-14) H. C. Hsiang: The respose is very slow. And fails to response often. Even the "upgrade" bottom in its own notifcation has no response when user clicked on it.
  • (2022-01-13) Artem: After 3 months of use, I can say it really works. I also tried some competitors, mostly disappointed, only this one suits me in all respects. The project is actively supported, feedback is quick and helpful.
  • (2022-01-04) benjamin957957: I must be honest, this session and tab manager is the best. The main attraction for this extension is its cloud sync, but it is a paid service, so unfortunately this isn't my go-to extension. I would very much rather donate to this extension if I find it very useful. Tab Session Manager is my replacement: they have free cloud sync.
