This extension allows you to customize font settings for different language scripts. For example, you can set the default font for Simplified Chinese content to be different than the font for Japanese content. The settings are per-script (as specified in ISO 15924) rather than per-language. For example, there is a single setting for Cyrillic script rather than separate ones for Russian, Ukrainian, etc.
Chrome will use the font settings controlled by this extension when BOTH of the following are true:
1) The web page has declared the language of the content (e.g., by using the HTML lang attribute); and
2) The web page has not specified a font to use.
To use this extension, add it to Chrome and then go to chrome://extensions and click on the "Options" link for this extension.

- (2025-04-06) Konstantin Pozin: Does not work for customizing font sizes per script. If you pick a script and change any of its font size settings, this changes the sizes for *all* scripts.
- (2024-12-19) Samuel Lo: Generally good, but it's hard to make multilingual webpages look good. For example certain Latin words with diacritics look bad on a webpage labelled as Chinese because the Chinese font doesn't have full Latin coverage, but using the Latin font for the whole webpage doesn't work either.

- (2024-04-28) James: Works great and helps make webpages much nicer. Keep in mind that you can only apply fonts installed on your system and that you need to search for the script instead of the language (Latin for Spanish or English, Devanagari for Hindi, Hangul for Korean, etc.).

To install a font on windows you double click on the file and click "install font" Unfortunately it is not very helpful for me, as I was looking to replace all Cyrillic with a handwritten script font and it only replaces undefined fonts. I have not seen it work on anything except for a few advertisements, and it does work on wikipedia The configuration menu is well done, and you can customize any script you would need or encounter side by side with other scripts Adding a font replace function would make this a 5 star extension.
