• (2025-03-30) Дмитрий Горбунов: в целом хорошо но не всегда, например на playground зашел и велез банер ворлд оф танкс во вес экран и на других сайтах бывает иногда реклама да и закладки открываются новые. В последнее время когда открываешь вкладку ютуб шортс и ставишь на паузу, звук почему то продолжает воспроизводится. При отключении расширения такой ошибки нет.
• (2025-03-27) Do all of you nay-savers only use Adblock on You Tube? If so, you're missing out on 98% of what this technological wonder can do.! (I confess I just made-up the percentage but it's gotta be close.) I myself am amazed at how well this extension performs. And in the rare cases of it letting an advertisement slip by... its easy to use 'block element' feature which not only removes it from the current page, but also removes it from future applications. I love this capability!! And that's why I'm rating it 5 stars.

It is nothing more than attempts to upsale their paid version. They have even started popping up on top of videos that are playing full-screen.

He llegado a ver un video de Soda Stereo que tenía 148 publicidades blockeadas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arranca el video en you tube y no hay publicidad previa, termina el video y no hay publicidad al final, no se corta el video a la mitad con publicidad: un sueño... sigan así!!! Y si, algunas páginas lo detectan y lo bloquean, y muchísimas otras no. Hice felices a muchos amigos solo por instalarles esta extención. Incluso después de que hayan debido resetear su pc o después de llevarlas a arreglar, por ejemplo, cuando el técnico te limpia la pc y se te borran las extensiones, muchos se quedaron tiempo sin saber qué pasó hasta que volví a ver que no lo tenían, y es solo cuestión de buscar en google como "abp adblock plus extension chrome" y luegos le clickas a "añadir extensión", y ya la tenés de vuelta. Genial!!! ATENCIÓN: Leer bien acá. Algunos sitios web o páginas web te solicitan/piden deshabilitar extensión, por ejemplo, para ver una peli gratis. En ese caso, el problema no es el AdBlock Plus, sino que suelen ser sitios con muchas publicidades que tienen una persona, un moderador, que controla estas apps para que no les bloqueen la publicidad, y más cuando pueden ser páginas que abren links peligrosos y pop ups automáticos, MUCHO CUIDADO, el problema suele ser que en esas páginas no solo salta publicidad sino links llenos de virus. Entonces, primero que todo aguante ABP, y segundo, si la página que querés abrir no es un sitio confiable/conocido/conocido tuyo, y te pide deshabilitar ABP, lo deshabilitás haciendo click arriba a la izquierda, pero ojo con los sitios que no aceptan adblock plus y aún así no te dejan ver fácilmente su contenido. Preferible es buscar otros sitios donde puedas acceder al contenido siempre manteniendo activo el AdBlock Plus!!! Saludos!!! Roman PD: ahora estoy probando en el celular, es diferente a la pc, tenés que descargar un navegador que es una app de ABP, es decir no se añade la extensión a Google Chrome sino que es una app aparte de Chrome y se llama Adblock Browser. Apenas la instalo, así que la reseña del app en android debe esperar, y ahora tengo iPhone, así que una vez probada en android del RedMi Note 7 que sigue tirando (impresionante también mi viejo y querido, y al principio no tan estimado, Xiaomi) al toque veré en el 16 que llegó hace poco!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• (2024-11-15) Adam Lewis: You can see my original 2 star review from 2014 below. I've been using this extension for well over 10 years and it has vastly improved. However, there is one annoyance keeping it from a 4 star review: browser hijacking to show an update. Chrome isn't even open, yet when this extension updates, they feel it is so important to let me know that the extension will open my browser, interrupting whatever else I may have been doing. If Chrome is open, it will switch me to a new tab to let me know the extension has been updated. Surely there is a better, less intrusive way to let me know the extension has been updated? Or, a setting where I can switch this off because I truly don't care that the extension has been updated, that is just expected. Original Review from 4/21/2014 (2 Stars) Works great when it works, more often than not though it just doesn't function even when I manually block an element.

Installing Pi-hole, its far more reliable and works on all devices and software including my TV. Had better days and I'm no longer able to pay a donation or fee, and they nag excessively in the same way the Mafia might come into your shop and smash it up.

Вот в последнее время начала доставать реклама: И тут надо ещё разобраться. Разработчики! В чём дело, понижаю на одну звезду.

I just reinstalled it to see if it has solved the youtube problem. it hasn't. and it still doesn't block the other things I have mentioned on October 15th. This extension was great before but for the last year or so, not that much. They are much better options nowadays... ->October 15th. 3 problems: 1-For a few weeks now they are ads on yahoo that are not blocked. One at the bottom that pops for a minute or so and goes away and one on the right that stays 2-As other mentioned, problems on youtube. 3-for a few months it fails also to block some ads on streaming websites.

• (2024-08-24) Ayush Abraham: I have used this blocker for years, and I've been very happy with it. Every once in a while when I open a new tab, it loads a page asking for donations. I don't really mind this, after all, you guys have so far done good work and it's fair to occasionally ask for money. The problem is the more recent popups which appear semi-frequently asking for premium. I must say, I HATE popups, especially ones that cover page content. I had gotten adblockplus to specifically avoid those types of popups and ads. It's not a deal breaker YET, but I can see myself dropping it if I see too many of these popups in the next few days. For this reason, I remove 2 stars from my previous 5 star rating. Basically: - New tab asking for donation/upgrade to premium: doesn't cover content, can CTRL+W to close easily, occurs very rarely, ACCEPTABLE ✅ - Popup asking for premium: covers content, need to click to dismiss, occurs semi-frequently, INCONVENIENT ❌

• (2024-08-13) Justin Wade: Been using this for awhile and I even donated $, then the problems started after I donated. hey started trying to sell me access and it worked less and less consistently The best aspect of this extension is I forget it's even on. Which is so say it does its job so well in an unobtrusive way. Great for me as many sites I use to rely on an ad for ESL resources and I can whitelist them with ease. Thanks, guys!

• (2024-08-06) HowToNameMyself: not even 10 weeks using it and already blocked 7800 ads and countin... i just use this and it blocks ads and everything related to it... not seen a single ad because of this... a few popups got through but just use another extension for it... its not just good.. its excellent update: 1,000,000 ads blocked it says but im not sure as :some pages dont have ads like chatgpt but it shows that its blocking 45 of them.. not sure if the no. is fake but it works really well

• (2024-07-24) [Update to follow] Have only had this extension a little while, and have only experienced it on You Tube so far, but even if it didn't work as well on other sites (don't know yet), it's worth it just for the ads blocked on You Tube. Wonderful. Update: Been using this FREE service for quite some time now. Although it stopped working on You Tube (not a problem; just paid for a subscription), the rest of the internet would be intolerable without it. Wish I'd have paid the couple of bucks a month they want right from the start -- it's well deserved, far as I'm concerned. Note: Not sure if the newer version works on You Tube or not. Just got tired of fighting with it, so got a YT subscription that covers the household and called it good.
