Tab Manager Plus is open source.
The main purpose of Tab Manager Plus is to find "lost" tabs easily. You can open the Tab Manager with a keyboard shortcut - Ctrl+M / Cmd+M or by clicking on the icon - and then you can type right away!
The Tab Manager will then show you all tabs that match your search terms - by tab title, and by url. If you've found your tab, and it's the only one selected - press "enter" - and you will jump right to it!
If you don't like one of the layouts, there's in total 4 more views available :
★ Block view ( Shows you groups of icons - each window is one group )
★ Big block view ( same as above, but with bigger icons )
★ Horizontal view ( every window is one line, and every tab is represented by an icon )
★ Vertical view ( a list of all your tabs - with readable titles )
You can move tabs between windows in every view - and you can select tabs with your right mouse button ( or CTRL+click on Mac ). Once you have selected a few tabs, simply press the "enter" key, and all tabs will be moved to a new browser window.
Are you stuck with lost duplicate tabs? Simply press the "duplicate tabs" icon, and Tab Manager will highlight the Duplicates for you. You can then press "Enter" as well, and they will be moved to a separate window.
➤ Don't like animations? You can turn off / turn on animations in the options.
➤ The window is too big - the tabs take too much space? Switch to a compact view in the options - it's less beautiful, but more space efficient.
➤ In each window you will find 2 action buttons. One + icon, that opens a new tab in that window, and a x icon, which closes the whole window. If you don't like these 2 buttons, then you can disable them in the options as well.
If you want to have an overview over your incognito tabs as well - make sure to go into the extension settings, and to enable the extension in Incognito mode.
★ Additional benefits
Depending on how many scripts are running inside your tabs, cleaning out duplicates from time to time can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load. Please take care of your computer.
★ Not so obvious nowadays, but important nevertheless :
- We don't share ANY data with anybody. Everything happens offline and in your browser only.
- This version does NOT have any malware or hidden ads. We made this, because we were fed up with the previous version that was infested with malware and ads.
- We love Tab Manager - we hope you love it, too.

- (2025-06-29) David Knapp: 2025 Update: Still love it, but now that I've donated… I REALLY need a better way to manage saved windows: - Make them collapsible, so only the name shows; - Make it easy to sort them - Stop the names from vanishing! If I quit Chrome and return, sometimes if I just go away to another app, the window names are lost. So I end up with multiple copies of each workspace, and waste even more time choosing which saved window to open. - Let me search for tabs in closed windows, too, so I can find the window I opened Canva in without remembering the name I gave it. I absolutely promise a $25 donation when those things happen. Still the best navigation extension I've seen. I don't like Google/Chrome, but this makes it EASY to keep a hundred-odd tabs well grouped and accessible. It replaces three Firefox extensions — Tree Tabs, for grouping, TabSearch, and Winger for window naming/management. If it doesn't do everything those three do, it has the huge advantage of putting all the functions in one place.
- (2025-06-26) Vasu gunnam: everything is perfect except Instead of a “Selected → Deleted Tabs”. option to provide an X button next to each tab in the list to close it.
- (2025-06-25) Mpilo Mlotshwa: Really reliable and efficient.
- (2025-06-20) ol scabs: the best non-ad blocking extension available
- (2025-06-19) Debra Carrabba: I have an older refurbished laptop & I love having the Tab Manager for Chrome on it. I'm able to move tabs to other windows & I can close out the window if I want. This is so easy to use & I never lost a tab. The older laptop has stopped updating, so I needed to buy a new laptop. I found out that I have this mover on my new laptop & I'm so glad to have it here. I don't know how it got here, I wasn't told I had it. Someone set this up for me, maybe he put it there? Thank you, for making it easy to use.
- (2025-06-09) Juan Pablo Rodriguez: Finally someone has done a tab manager with a beatiful saving solution. Thank you thank you!!!
- (2025-06-06) Teddy Perera: Great extension. I use it everyday. Feature request: If you can please add a functionality of showing the preview when we hover over each tab on the list.
- (2025-06-06) Jackson Wu: Thank you, I use it everyday.
- (2025-05-06) Anthea Scicluna: Works Great, easy to use. It would be awesome if it had also the option to "Lock a group" to prevent it to add more tabs to it, to control each group individually. Also the option to open New tabs in a chosen tab group.
- (2025-05-02) C Hudykov: Great app! I have some ideas for improvements that I'd like to suggest. It would be nice to have a close button near the title in the list view. And I wish it had more options to close a tab (ctrl+click, alt+click, ctrl+shift+click), I don't have a wheel mouse button when using my laptop. And I recommend adding an option to increase the font size for the list view, it is important for people with disabilities. Cheers.
- (2025-04-29) Daniel Lei: nice.
- (2025-04-19) Emmanuel Chidiebere Ezike: Functional. Easy to Use. Highly recommended for tab maniacs like me. Cheers!
- (2025-04-15) Kristoff Mitchell M. De Vera: This is easy to use, and does what it says on the box/cover/page. It does what you would expect and more.
- (2025-04-01) J ennifer: This seems to have stopped working for me with microsoft's imposed / forced update to windows 11. :-( When I choose a tab to navigate to, nothing happens. I wonder if it's me somehow, or if this has ceased working with windows 11?

- (2025-03-17) Dave: Looking for a replacement for Cluster, this is the closest I've found so far. I was wrong about the Window names, that's only within this app, it doesn't rename the actual Window. Main thing I see missing is the ability to open the display in a tab instead of a pop-up. Pop-ups are fine if I want to find something and move on, but when I've got too much stuff open and want to clean up then I want it the full size of a tab to work with. ETA: You can open the app in a tab but you have to right-click the icon and then "Open in own tab".
- (2025-03-12) Rudranil Ghosh: It doesn't support tab groups
- (2025-03-06) Yuki Kart: if u have thousands of tabs opened, this extension might cause lag of your browser until it is disabled and enabled again.
- (2025-03-05) Richard Steele: This extension is really helpful. Im still new to using it but it works well...
- (2025-02-16) David Knapp: Best navigation extension I've seen. What it still needs: list view of saved windows (thumbnails are clumsy when you have 20+), sorting of saved windows (right now they seem to be in random order).
- (2025-02-09) Jeremy Espinosa: Middle-clicking links is my all-time favorite shortcut that impresses everyone I show it to. But my tabs can get out of control, and this extension is the best one I've tried to maintain sanity over the madness. Right-clicking all the tabs I want to close and then using the trash icon at the bottom right are my most used features. But I also like that I can drag tabs to a specific window and quickly close all but one window. Vertical View is the best in my opinion. At least that is what I believe it is since the text displayed when hovering the view switch button conflicts with the text that changes at the top after you switch views. I'm assuming the Vertical View is the only view where you can see the title text for all your tabs. I am noticing that I don't use the function enough where I can type to search for a tab, and I likely will start using it more after this.
- (2025-01-21) Kent Hoang: very useful but recently for 4 months when im in block view i can not see the favicons of any of my tabs making it pretty useless to tell which tabs are in what groups.
- (2025-01-08) rickhoro: It does the job. Use it all the time.
- (2025-01-06) MurderChickenXL: Pales in comparison the old Firefox extension. The GUI on that one was clear and concise and you didn't have to scroll down several pages to get to the section you wanted. Chromium has ruined everything.
- (2025-01-03) Phúc Ngu: Good
- (2024-12-17) Nadine Ross01: Great app for managing tabs. This is helpful for projects and is extremely customizable. I have gotten much utility out of this extension as a student with research webpages in one group, and music in another. :)
- (2024-12-17) Graham Fitts: I would love the ability to specify the max number of tabs per window. So if I'm working on a document, I can keep the doc on a window by itself and have my second window accumulate all the new tabs. This would help immensely with multiple monitors. Other than that, this is the best tab manager I've found. Thank you!!
- (2024-11-23) Artis Stathis: Very easy to learn, very practical, does all the required tasks. Good job!
- (2024-11-22) Kemal E: it does a great job, thanks a lot!
- (2024-11-20) Open Hyle: great extension, very recommended
- (2024-11-11) zartosht shayegan: Works exactly as it should
- (2024-11-11) Cherif Chaker: Please bring back the previous view (vertical view not maximized). It was easier to manager tabs
- (2024-11-11) Cherif Chaker: Please bring back the previous view (vertical view not maximized). It was easier to manager tabs
- (2024-11-08) Fuji: タブ全体の管理がパッと出来るのでめちゃ便利です。 人に寄るとは思いますが、UIもシンプルで使い易くてとてもいいです。 And the last problem is that I cannot donate for this from Japan :P At least PayPal website said so. The best tab manager so far. Keep it up please!
- (2024-11-06) Никита Вакулюк: Great app, but recently it stopped switching tabs properly by clicking on them in the pop-up window (it only switches on the second try). When opened in "separate tab" mode, it does switch, but that’s inconvenient to use. This is in Google Chrome. I’ve seen other users mention the same issue. I hope it gets fixed soon so it can be used comfortably again.
- (2024-10-17) Alex Zhang: " Fix: Vertical layout takes now the full width in popups" This feature is definitely a downgrade and not as efficient as before. I hope you can provide settings to allow users to freely choose the display mode. And On my Mac, when I open multiple Chrome windows, why does clicking on one window automatically minimize all the other windows? ??????????????????????????????????????????????
- (2024-10-16) Geoff Thé [SF]: Love the extension! I think the last version broke the ability to multi-select tabs and drag them as a group into another window. Selecting a number of tabs via search and then dragging them all to a common window does not appear to work.
- (2024-10-14) Tian Luo: Love this extension! But please, fix the most recent bug where cycle last used tab doesn't work anymore!
- (2024-10-10) Tony Schaefer: I've used them all and this one is the best. I'm glad they squared things up on the Store regarding best practices. This is by far the most useful extension for lots of open tabs.
- (2024-10-09) Faizan Badar: So far it has worked great. Great job! Even greater thing is its absolutely free and no ads etc, they gained my respect. Please keep up the good work.
- (2024-10-04) *: Mostly useful.
- (2024-10-04) Ken Suenaga (Bio): Have had issues managing tabs / browser windows since switching to Win 11, this solves excellent. Great extension!!
- (2024-09-28) Miguel Mejia: The BEST Tab manager I've ever found!!! How in hell this extension may soon no longer be supported by Chrome Store?!?!?! That would be one of those worst mistakes Chrome would be doing, seriously.
- (2024-09-27) Felix Githinji: The most perfect tab management extension I've come across so far.
- (2024-09-26) matt menna: Perfect plug in to manage tabs, not much I would even want them to add. Will donate to creator if he keeps this from getting deleted off the Chorme store.
- (2024-09-25) Cody Watson: This is my favourite plugin. I install it for every Chrome profile I have (currently 4), and use it obsessively as I usually have 50+ tabs open and 3+ windows for ongoing work. I hope that it is supported for a long time.
- (2024-09-23) Frank Utne: Stupid DANGEROUS extension. I changed the default shortcut that didn't work to Alt-CMD-M and when I tried it, thinking that I would be opening the main window view, every one of many windows were minimized with no option to restore them other than tediously click every one of them in the Dashboard. Ridiculous.
- (2024-09-22) Emilio Gratton: exactly what I need to keep tidier my extensive browsing and work over too many web-based tools please keep it in Store forever. and this definitively worth a donation
- (2024-09-17) Moe Bazzi: Great for tab managment! It also works really well with the 'Tidy Tab Groups' extension, which is really helpful for automatically organizing your tab bar 👉 https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tidy-tab-groups/fohgbkobjdckaapjimleemkolchkmebf
