An ad blocker that frequently gives you pop ups and new tabs with ads for their own services.
Every time I launch chrome I get an automatic full page ad popup for the adblock. This plugin is the exact thing it claims to block.
Shows its own AD.
Was a great ad blocker until it started spamming ads. Full tab popups, overlays on websites, all driving to upgrade.

I only added this extension so that I can leave this review. Once I leave this review I'm going to uninstall again. I have no interest in this stupid extension I never asked for it I never agreed to it. But this so called ad blocking extension has been spamming me mercilessly to add it. So basically, if you're so desperate for subscribers, Then why don't you start acting more competent than you've been acting. Try acting sane and intelligent for once. And stop spamming me with your stupid advertisements wanting me to install your pathetic ad blocker that doesn't even work. You're probably one of those kinds of idiots whose wife leaves you for your brother because, somehow, Everything that you do horribly he manages to do a lot better than you could ever dream of doing... So stop spamming me, you moron! Now that I've made my review and my comment, now I can delete this extension.
Notifications won't close and block my ability to use websites. Doesn't even block ads half the time. Drastically slows down browsing experience.
One of the best free ad blockers I've used. In about a 2 minutes of logging onto a website, it had already blocked 17 ads. Love this, definetely recommend this to other users!
works welll on everything but youtube shorts. it keeps skipping over actual content that comes after the ad due to add-on working slowly and delayed and doesnt let you roll back to content that was skipped if it passed another ad making this extension utterly bad and unuseable
2025.09: this is the extension I need. /Choose "NORDIC filter", if you live in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark? / This is ON by default, I had to switch OFF because this allows TOO MANY ads, 10 huge ads per page: "Why should I agree to see Acceptable Ads? It prevent anti-adblock walls that FORCE YOU TO DISABLE your ad blocker to access their sites and FLASHING ads" If this extension doesn't work for some an-adblock WALL, try Pie AdBlock maybe?, but bad thing about that extension is I can't manually choose which elements to hide.
They fixed it! I got YT premium, so idk about YT, but I realized it's blocking ads on Tubi when I use it in browser. Thinking about casting it to my TV for this purpose! Don't like how it opens a new tab to bother you about updates though.

I still see ads. not the best ad blocker. Some sites have an adblocker detector and it still allows ads. I do NOT recommend this adblocker.

What adblock replaces ads with their own that are more invasive.
This thing doesn't filter ads from it's "partners", stops filtering ads randomly, and is even showing its own popups! Insane. Used to be a good ad blocker.

Most trustworthy adblocker to download but it doesn't do its job at all, it doesn't block pop ups from sus sites, it doesn't block ads half the time, its useless honestly LOL its a 50/50 chance that it will actually work
I signed up for Ad Block Plus which would reportedly block ads on YouTube. However, I am still getting ads on You Tube. Their positive sales pitch does match the results received. Nevertheless, the company recieved their $40 yearly fee!

When I do a Google search in Chrome's incognito mode, I always get the text "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot". Except if I change "Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit" to "On click".

It doesn't block all ads from most sites and I use youtube a lot it doesn't block the ads unless I click the reload button on the site which gets really annoying sometimes it is still the only one I know of bc pie is not that great. :/
TLDR: 2 stars for nostalgia since I have been using AdBlock for over 10 years but is easily replaced by better extensions. Main issues: 1) It doesnt do a very good job blocking ads. There are some sites like Kijiji that you cant tell that adblock is installed. 2) Constant ads from adblock about how many ads have been blocked. It still does this even if you pay for it. 3) There are other adblock extensions that do a better job for free without pandering for money. I started using uBlock Origin Lite so far it does a much much better job out of the box and can be customized far more than adblock. See below for "Kat C" copy paste dribble (personally hoping for "Please open a ticket with us") Upvote this comment if I get it right.
