Google Docs Dark Mode

It just inverts the colors in a kind of unpleasant way, and has a tacky interface you have to shoo away, and even after that it still looks weird. It is dark though.

Does what it says it does. For people saying it doesn't work, refresh. For people saying everything is dark except the page, no. Hover over the moon icon to reveal the bar, you'll see a page icon under the moon, click it, that's how you can change the color of the page. 👍

There needs to be a setting option to permanently move the floating toolbar. In its current default position, you cannot use the Find feature in a GoogleDoc and then close out that menu, because the Dark Mode tool bar obstructs it.

Finally found what I was looking for! This extension does exactly what I need

lot of people are complaining the page iself remains white... you need to refresh if you haven't already mouse over widget to he right op corner and when it drops down click the second button below it... that makes the page black

downloaded this extension. uninstalled shortly after because i didn't like it. despite me removing it, it still attempts to function on not only google docs, but any website you can think of. this isn't a huge issue, but it feels super suspicious, and is also just generally annoying. the permissions you give the extension when downloaded only apply to google docs, so why is it doing this on other websites? this issue could be because i'm using microsoft edge, but it's an issue nonetheless.

While it kinda worked, it doesn't seem to gell well with the Tabs feature. At least I only wanted this for Docs, and not other Google Drive apps like Sheets which other reviewers have complained this doesn't work for - this is meant to be for the document editing app only, which I understood when I tried it.

Pretty good, SAVES MY EYES AT 1 AM! Just the buttons on the right can be hard to control, so don't be worried if the doc isn't dark(yet). IMPORTANT - for everyone who says it doesn't do anything; try refreshing google docs. I had the same when I downloaded it, but reloaded google docs and now it works great.

Nothing happens. It downloads, adds the extention and nothing happens.

So it makes the background dark but my doc and the selections are still white.

Works fine. I just wish I could adjust the color of the buttons, and adjust the page to more of a dark grey, rather than full-on black

While scrolling it can cause issues like copy hidden comments into your documents. Really annoying.

Absolute Best Google Doc Dark Mode once you add the extension close and reload google docs you will see a faint sun or moon in the top right corner of the doc. Hover over it if you click it, it will change the background light or dark and if you click the page icon under that it will change the actual doc light or dark. This is cool because it allows you to change it from dark or light more whenever you want so if you want the page and background to be white during the day its two clicks and if you want it black at night it's two clicks.

The dark theme is a little off, too transparent and the words does blends with the black words. THEN I recently learned from a friend that there's another icon beneath the dark/light mode to invert the words to be black or white,.. Wished the page offered a quick walkthrough instead of us just struggling to learn what each icon do. Even though they're a little self-explanatory. But when you're running on fumes, you'll want things to be dummified lol. So, here's my walkthrough for my lovely people: Make sure you switch to chrome. Microsoft Edge and Chrome are similar and shouldn't be too much of an issue to switch, as chrome is more likely for the icon to appear (it was recommended for me to switch). When you install the extension, best to close your old docs out and open it again, and the icon should appear on the right side of the screen. And that's it. nothing else too fancy is needed to install this. Anyway, it's a good extension, probably the only good one out there that's worth getting.

Works OK, and does what it says. I added the extension so I could print reverse docs to PDF, but every time I try to download it, it only comes in standard format (black text on white background). How can I change this so it downloads as shown on screen?

Does not work on google sheets. I would accept the possible name confusion Docs the program vs Docs suite. Except search brought me here after searching for "sheets" specifically. Useless.

I've been using this for years and I love it! I used to have issues with other UI colors being inverted but that was fixed a while ago. I've never had any other problems with this extension. For those having difficulties with the page background, you can always go to File --> Page Setup --> Page Color and change it that way. There's also a box at the bottom to set the new color as your default, and it will change all existing + new docs! You'll have to switch the background back to white for printing though. I hope this is helpful! :)

It does exactly what is says, however the UI is clunky and the icon is not well placed. If you use ctrl+F it will block the x to close out of the function. Giving users the ability to move it or even just shifting the icon down slightly would drastically improve my experience with this extension.

Pretty awesome extension, does exactly what it claims. The only thing to consider is that if you put the sheet in dark mode it will print exactly that way, using tons of black ink, which is a mistake I've accidently made twice. If the dark mode work better with printing that would be even better, but it's not too hard to turn it off if you remember, or usually I just make the background dark
