Dark mode for those long nights working on Google Docs!
This extension changes the style of Google Docs to a dark theme that is easier on the eyes and looks cooler :)
The dark mode and page color can be toggled from the controls on the top right of the page.

- It works. There's a button to switch Docs to dark mode and another to invert the colors of the open document. Inverting works well for just typing, but not for working with any colors. There's a Paypal button to donate, but also a switch to hide the button.

- For those wondering, no, this extension will not change the colour of your actual Document Pages. To do that, go to File, then Page Setup, then click on the colour dot to change the page colour. If it is faded out, and doesn't work, switch to the Pageless Format. It should work then. This makes the U.I. look strange, at first, but I can get used to it pretty quickly. Though, it definitely needs an update.

- It could use some work. Google docs on my computer has strained my eyes quite a bit despite turning down the brightness settings. Hopefully Google Docs will at some point have an option for dark mode instead of a download.. it's not perfect and it looks like it could use more time to be worked on but it'll do.

- Does its job, but does have a few issues. As others have pointed out the tabs are nearly invisible, but that's not an issue for me as my screen is pretty bright most of the time. (which is why i got this extension!) But what knocks down a star is that (at least on Opera GX) it changed the layout of Google docs to look like the layout of a PDF preview. Its kind of intrusive for me but at least it looks clean. Another thing is that it just inverts the colors on the Google doc (which i assume is how the dark mode is achieved) and completely messes up the coloring, but I'm just here to write and I don't use fancy text so that doesn't concern me. Quality product!

- Does the basics, but needs a lot of improvement. Repeating what several others have pointed out just to bump this issue higher. Personally my biggest issue is that using tabs in Google docs renders all text nearly illegible / invisible. The "dark mode" settings seem to get applied to the text itself, so you'll only see the text for sub-headings and tabs if you scroll over them. This might not matter for casual users, but if you're using for any important, organized or tabbed documents the dark mode isn't work using anymore. At that point might as well just change the page color of the document. Highlighted or colored text doesn't also doesn't change.

- Best Google docs extension I've found. You actively have to turn it on, but it has separate dark modes for but the Google Docs interface and the pages themselves, which I find very handy. Definitely recommend this!

- It works pretty well in terms of having a Dark Mode, however, it doesn't recognize the text colors or text highlight colors of the native document, i.e. Orange text turns Blue, and Blue highlighting turns Red, and Yellow highlighting turns Bright Blue, etc. I can't use it in its current form but hope it'll get fixed; maybe I'll try back later.

- using it on brave and, after refreshing, it worked. 3/5. -2 stares because of two issues: (1) it's hard to see the document tab; and (2) i dislike the grey and prefer it to be darker—almost black like how youtube/twitch/facebook does it. thank you for this

- Very nice for when I'm working late. The only thing stopping it being a perfect rating is that it makes comments very difficult to see on the page. If the comments were more obviously highlighted in the text, it would be 5 stars

- DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS EXTENSION! for some reason after installing it started dimming the heck out of the websites I visit. Like bro I thought it's supposed to only affect Google Docs but it dims the hell out of other websites. Just wanted to get that out.

- If you are having issues with this extension, try Dark Reader, it's free, and if you set it up correctly it works great on Google Docs. That's what I'm currently using. - I don't know why it doesn't work for some people, but I think its pretty good. the one problem is that when you copy dark grey text instead of black text into the document it is almost unreadable and you have to change the text color to black so it will look white.
