Good extension, it does what annouced. It is the best one which I've tested till now. I like its English speaking. The longest article which I had tested lasted over 20 min. and worked OK. I APPRECIATE the possibility to preset speed, pitch and volume. It can read even OFFline PDF files opened in Chrome. I MISS the button "Stop" and my native language - Czech. I WOULD LIKE to have the possibility to start speaking from specific word/ sentence without the need to copy the whole article/ chapter.

Me gusta pero no veo donde darle pausa o cuando quiero copiar y pegar algo empieza a narrar asi no mas.

It seems to be the free option. It works perfectly with the installed voices, but for the other voices, which I assume work by shipping data through the net, only very short quotes will be read.

Perfect for what I was looking for: a quick way to proofread my Google gmail. The ability to highlight and use either the button or context menu is awesome. I am including this app in my daily "toolbox". Well done!

Downloaded to read my Google docs aloud but I couldn't figure out how to get it to read the highlighted text. It isn't what I was looking for but I would be happy to download it again if it had the capability to do what I need.

Worked for a while (a few days) but the SPEAK icon was always very intrusive. But after attempting to change the behavior (trying another option), it never worked again. Now, it just seems to speak parts of text (randomly) and the configurations no longer seem to work. :( Ideally, speech should be initiated via right-click text selection or by selecting text and clicking the speak button from the menu. Such options are not currently available. Since it is no longer working, I must remove it.

It doesn't speak what you highlight, and it only lets you adjust the settings when it is in area where it is already talking away. So to summarize, I hate it because it isn't what I was looking for, and I had to download it to find out how it worked because there wasn't any good descriptions of what it was in-detail, in places you could get to without downloading it, otherwise: it's a good app; I don't mean to discourage this developer, I've just been around and back trying to find an analog to "speakit" since it seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. it is a good app, but isn't a good app at what I thought it was supposed to do (which is: read highlighted text, and allow you to set the speed to something reasonably fast, this one does let you do that; just... it doesn't read what you highlight)(no point in it if it's slow))
