Ако въведете паролата си за Gmail или Google for Work на страница, различна от accounts.google.com, ще получите сигнал, за да я промените, ако е необходимо.
Защита на паролата също така се опитва да открива фалшиви версии на страницата за вход в Google, за да ви уведомява, преди да въведете паролата си. За тази цел разширението преглежда HTML кода на всяка страница, която посещавате, за да провери дали не се представя като страница за вход в Google.

– Кога започва да функционира Защита на паролата?
Защита на паролата ще се подготви за работа, когато въведете паролата си на страницата accounts.google.com.
– Съхранява ли Защита на паролата моите пароли или комбинации от клавиши?
Не. Защита на паролата не съхранява паролите или комбинациите ви от клавиши. Вместо това съхранява надеждно миниизображение на паролата ви, което сравнява с миниизображение на последните клавишни комбинации, използвани от вас в Chrome.
– Къде се изпращат данните от Защита на паролата?
Ако използвате Защита на паролата в профил в Gmail, разширението няма да изпраща данни от компютъра ви. Ако администраторът ви за Google for Work избере да приложи Защита на паролата за целия домейн, тогава той ще получава сигнали, когато разширението се задейства.
– Какви са ограниченията на Защита на паролата?
Защита на паролата не функционира при прозорци в режим „инкогнито“, приложения или разширения за Chrome. Също така не защитава пароли и за услуги, които не принадлежат на Google. Разширението работи в уеб браузъра Chrome само когато JavaScript е активиран.
