- (2025-06-27) Ken Y: Massive CPU/battery drain on my M3 Macbook Air...unfortunate. I guess it's not a priority for ClickUp management.
- (2025-06-26) Daniel Barter: Current version of the extension causes my chrome to run at up to/over 140% CPU power. (Chrome is at 7-9% without the extension running). Is a useful extension if it worked properly (creating new tasks directly from emails was great in the past), but now my comp currently overheats and massively slows down when its on, reducing my productivity. Needs some proper investigation from their team and a new, performance tested version released.
- (2025-06-26) David Dunn: I like the extension. I like the functionality. But I cannot use it because it causes my browser to eat tons of CPU power. When the extension is uninstalled, Brave runs at around 3-10%. When it is installed, it shoots up to over 144%. Similar results with Chrome. This extension is "free," at the hidden expense of reducing the life of your laptop due to overheating.
- (2025-06-18) Nicolas Kyramarios: This extension would be very useful if it worked. It only works briefly after a new installation and then stops working after a few calls. It then has to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Also, the search within the extension only works partially. Please fix it, as it is necessary for the efficient use of ClickUp.
- (2025-05-13) Dico Duba: The only thing I was using this extension for was to put emails into clickup tasks. This functionality has been broken for the past two months, and there is no sign of a fix being made. Edit: Recently this extension has started using 100% of my cpu for no apparent reason. I am not sure if it is extreme incompetence in how it is set up, or if they added a crypto miner to the extension, but I have reported the extension as malicious to be reviewed.
- (2025-05-13) Kazi Sumon: I am really upset, I have been used to with the extension but it's now not working that's really interrupt daily jobs.
- (2025-05-13) Roeland Schoppers: Completely stopped working - just get a white screen. Tried reinstalling etc. Completely sabotaging the habit / process i had implemented for myself.
- (2025-05-12) Michael Moeri: The extension is great when it works, but it is constantly crashing and needing reinstallation. Now it doesn't even work at all and just gives blank white pop ups when trying to install and login.
- (2025-05-09) EJ Zuniga: Intermittently working, and then now I can't access the extension within my email completely!
- (2025-05-06) L Hirsch: Love Clickup but suddenly lost the ability to see the clickup button at the corner, and seeing them in my emails. That's something I really need! Any help for this?
- (2025-04-23) Alan Blumenfeld: I love ClickUp, it has been a game-changer for work. They have made changes and upgrades to the extension that allows for seamless integration between the app, Gmail and Google Chrome. Awesome app and I would recommend it for anyone
- (2025-04-08) Andres Vitela: Stopped working in Edge with their latest update. 😒
- (2025-04-04) Laura Buker: Great extension WHEN it works which unfortunately is not often. Like someone said, CU is great when it works but their QA is no bueno and I'm forced to spend countless amounts of time submitting bugs. We are doing their testing work and paying for it. When it does work/the things that do work are great. I am 1000000% convinced they don't use their own product. There is now way they would tolerate the endless bugs, glitches, poor UI/UX design and features that are just plain unusable like their Whiteboard. CU has A LOT of potential but they really need to get their act together.
- (2025-04-04) Alison Reed: I've only been using the extension for a few days but can already tell it may be the single most useful productivity/organization tool I've found in a long time. The ability to attach emails to to-do list items, or to create new tasks without leaving email, is a game changer. I haven't had any issues with having to reinstall (it's only been a few days), but my feeling is that even if I have to reinstall often, this app will 100% be worth it.
- (2025-03-31) Greg Southcombe: Great when it works but in the space of 1 month I have had to remove and reinstall this extension 3 times so far and on the last and current attempt I can't get the extension to work properly at all when it comes to attaching emails (from Gmail) to an existing task and this is a function I use all the time. ClickUp is great but this extension is unreliable and frustrating. Update 31st March 2025 - I've just deleted and reinstalled this extension for the (I've stopped counting) gazillionth time.
- (2025-03-26) István Móni: It should be reinstalled at least once a month. It's frustrating.
- (2025-03-14) Leslie Kernisan: Sigh. As everyone else notes: requires deleting and reinstalling every few weeks. Super annoying, but I do it because when it's working, I really like how easy it is to add a screenshot into a clickup comment. I also use email clipping feature.
- (2025-03-07) Jim Garner: Why is this extension, and by extension, ClickUp in general, only rated at 2.x stars? Makes me nervous about even trying the app.
- (2025-02-24) Greg Southcombe: It's frustrating (and ironic) that an app I pay for that promises efficiency wastes so much my time on a frequent and regular basis deleting and reinstalling the Chrome extension because it keeps failing. I've long given up reporting it.
- (2025-02-21) David Muñoz: This extension is a clear representation of clickup's product policy: lack of proper QA testing before launching updates which causes things to break all the time and it's the users who are forced to do the QA work by spotting and reporting the bugs. They get fixed after a long while and on the next update, things break again.
- (2025-02-15) Rimantas Kuodys: Time tracking is buggy - doesnt stop, cannot be extended with comment
- (2025-02-10) Alaina Frederick: Please update this extension! I'm tired of having to remove and reinstall. I want to love ClickUp but there are so many bugs lately it's frustrating.
- (2025-02-10) Diego Velázquez: Same as all of the previous reviews, it's very buggy! Cannot trust this extension.
- (2025-02-09) Jamma Habib: Very bugy, always have to reinstall after a few weeks. Also date picker is bugy, and you cant set the priority while creating the task?
- (2025-02-09) Paul Roberts: As many others have said over a long period, it's good when it works but every few weeks it breaks and needs to be reinstalled.
- (2025-02-05) Erick Vidal: Awesome extension when it works. If you don't utilize enough or for no reason at all, the extension always stops working. You constantly have to re-install it for it to start working again. Once that's fixed, it really works wonders.
- (2025-02-04) David Canga: Constantly having to uninstall e install again..stops working out of nowhere
- (2025-02-03) Samuel Egger: Given how buggy the time tracker in the click up web app is, I can only imagine how buggy this extension must be. The click up support isn't much of a help either. Really disappointed.
- (2025-02-03) Amin Bajand: It's super glitchy and constantly having to uninstall and reinstall!
- (2025-02-02) Mohammad Arif Khan: Everyone is saying the same thing here and yet the Clickup PMs aren't taking this up as a priority. Pros - everything at the same place. Cons - it is too buggy and the extension's dialog box freezes or becomes blank after a while, so I finally need to uninstall the extension and install it again.
- (2025-02-02) Bradley Taylor: Unhappy about always needing to reinstall. For it to work (maybe) for unpredictable amount of time. I love ClickUp, but, desperately unhappy about this supporting feature.
- (2025-01-30) Ruba Asmussen: Same as so many others - it's amazing when it works but it always stops working and I have to uninstall and reinstall. I figured they'd fix it by now based on how many of the same reviews they continue to receive.
- (2025-01-28) Maddee @ Offsiters: Great when it works, but it never works... I've had to uninstall and reinstall a LOT. After reinstalling today, I can't put anything past 31/12/24 for the due date but I've yet to perfect a time machine so that due date won't work for me.
- (2025-01-28) Toni Frazee: IF YOU WANT TO RETAIN OUR BUSINESS AND OTHERS, AS SHOWN IN THE COMMENTS HERE, FIX THE EXTENSION. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
- (2025-01-27) Mark Nelson: Fix the bug where we have to constantly uninstall
- (2025-01-26) Massif Welcome: PLEASE, PLEASE stop spending time developing AI add on tools and look at the basics. This is meant to be a productivity tool and as you can see from the comments, a lot of peoples time is wasted by having to regularly reinstall this extension. Great tool when it works, but a waste of time when it goes wrong (which it frequently does). Come on put the development effort where it is needed.
- (2025-01-24) Jacqui Myslinski: Functionality - 1 star: Just had to uninstall it again today. It stops working, logs you out, and the only way to get it working again is to uninstall and reinstall. Features - 4 stars: I love that you can send a google email to a task, or create a task right from Gmail. You can also create a task from any website and include a screenshot.
- (2025-01-24) Teri Ross: As others have stated, it stops working all the time. You have to delete it and add it again to get it to work. This is causing a loss in productivity. ;-(
- (2025-01-23) Samer Azar: Does not work most of the time. Come on ClickUp, where is all your funding going!
- (2025-01-22) Richard Fawal: This is one of the worst "features" of an otherwise great product. It fails so consistently as to make our work harder and impede our productivity. If it isn't fixed soon we may have to find another project management system. Sorry Clickup, but between your terrible second attempt at a mobile app and this useless, time-sucking extension, you're close to losing a customer.
- (2025-01-21) Nadyli Nuñez: Can't assign due dates past December 31, 2024....and we are almost done with January.
- (2025-01-20) Nicolas Sandim: Pretty disappointing. Now sure how to even compensate for the lack of operation of this add-on. If I can't communicate directly between my browser and my project management solution then...I do not have a project management solution. I have a complete project management roadblock. Would love to know if there is a workaround to create tasks from emails or from the browser screen.
- (2025-01-20) Vladimir Knobel: As the rest of the lot is the same here, it stops working all the time...
- (2025-01-16) Kevin Brands: When it works, it is a great tool to use. But like many others that reviewed the extension, I face the same issue over and over again; after a while, the tool doesn't seem to be authenticated anymore. Only way to get it working again is to uninstall and reinstall. Would be very nice if this get's a permanent fix!
- (2025-01-16) Florian Stangl: Unverwendbar. Unvorstellbar buggy. Jeden dritten Tag neu installieren damit irgendwas funktioniert.
- (2025-01-15) Steve Klein: When it works its great - but constantly has to be reinstalled for it to work
- (2025-01-15) Meghan LeBlanc: I was loving this extension. It was so useful and then one day it just stopped working. It's still there in my bookmark bar but no longer floating in the bottom right hand corner of webpages to easily screenshot and create anything, bookmarks, tasks, reminders, etc. Please fix it :)
- (2025-01-14) Lourens Swart: Useful extension. It just often stops working. The only way I found to resolve this was to uninstall and reinstall it.
- (2025-01-14) Tamara Sherry: I want to give this five stars because it is so useful and time saving when it works - but it's driving me crazy when it doesn't and have to uninstall/reinstall.
- (2025-01-10) Mahlon Fisher: We need to keep uninstalling and reinstalling. Would really appreciate a fix on this.
