Whitelist All IPs for a Salesforce organization

Image from store Whitelist All IPs for Salesforce
Description from store Salesforce has a great security model for 2 factor authentication and trusted systems. Sometimes, however, it can be onerous. If you want to ensure that a user can access Salesforce without requiring a verification code or security token, you need to "whitelist" their IP on Setup => Security Controls => Network Access. If you have a lot of IPs to whitelist, or you want to whitelist dynamic IPs, or you simply want to disregard this requirement altogether, enter this extension: Whitelist All IPs for Salesforce! Simply: 1) Enable this plugin 2) Navigate to Setup => Security Controls => Network Access in your Salesforce org (must be an Admin) 3) Click the Whitelist All IPs button 4) Wait! There is a progress indicator, it can take 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on your connection. Huge credit to Moti Korets for his SFDC Debug Logs extension, which had this "hidden feature"(https://github.com/motiko/sfdc-debug-logs). By the way! This started as a homepage component, but the ability to run javascript in homepage components went away around Summer, 2015 -- hence the need for this extension.

  • (2020-09-17) Brandon Klapholz: super useful - would be nice if it worked in Lightning, but support for Classic is still good enough to make this a must have
  • (2020-01-08) Herb Whitacre: I was setting up a Developer-Edition org to be used for training (with sample data). With only 2 user licenses, trainees will have to share the user login. White-listing all IP's ensures any trainee can login as the shared user account without each person needing to receive and type in the 2FA code emailed by SFDC (which the trainees couldn't get anyway because what email address would we use?). I would have had to create 255 IP ranges manually to cover the entire range, but with this extension, it only took a few clicks and all IPs got whitelisted in less than a minute. Saved me at least 2 hours of manual entry, and the whole process only took me 5 minutes. Love this!! Thanks RayDehler!!
  • (2018-09-07) Miriam Lücke: You should add to the description that the button is only available in SF classic. Besides that it's a quite handy tool :)
  • (2018-08-18) Izzatkhon: Thanks a lot! Works fine. Saved my time.
  • (2018-05-22) Chen Tianyun: This extension saved me a lot of time!
  • (2018-05-05) dCloud PCCE: It did save me a huge effort having to manually enter all the ip ranges, considering you can only enter two full subnets as range, so had to do 127 entries... Just be sure to be in classic interface to get the Whitelist All IPs button visible...
  • (2018-04-25) Nicholas Worth: Make sure you're in classic, the "Whitelist all" button doesn't appear in the lighting experience. Other than that works as advertised, thanks!

I have successfully used the extension in my dev org. Now I tried it in a sandbox, there the button doesn't appear. Both have "my domain" enabled, but the URL of the sandbox also contains the instance (so mydomain.cs105.my.salesforce.com) - might that be an issue?
