Why I built this
I'm an indie developer from Estonia. I built a video translator originally because I couldn't follow English educational courses while watching the instructor's screen. The most common request was to make it work on all other video sites too.

How does it work?

The extension detects subtitles on the video page. If subtitles exist, it extracts and translates them using default free translation or AI models via your own API keys (OpenAI, Gemini, and more). Then it generates natural-sounding voice dubbing using TTS technology.

If no subtitles exist, the built-in Whisper transcription (bring your own API key) creates them from the audio track first. Then the same translate → dub pipeline runs.

You can dub video directly in your Chrome browser — no external software required.
