• (2023-09-13) Darlene Pietrak: UPDATE: Slowly but surely all the aspects that I loved about this are being taken away or made more complicated. Used to be you logged in and sent the same email to 3 people in 3 different states and you knew who opened and when. Now I get less information and have to go through more hoops. Too Bad this review doesnt exist any more - It's great knowing when people get my emails. I've been told i have a sixth sense!

• (2023-05-17) Francois Tremblay: Why can't I just track the emails I receive? I can't see any inbox in that extension, only contacts... I would have thought that is the main use of this extension, but it's not even there. Doesn't seem like it is.
• (2023-05-12) Crystal Jones: I just added this extension back JUST so I could write this review.. This extension WAS great. I say WAS because over the last two weeks this plugin has been the cause of Gmail HANGING/STALLING/CRASHING. As SOON as I uninstall this plugin Gmail goes back to working normally. It's too bad too because I REALLY liked this plugin. *shrug* At least the Google contact synching still works. So AT LEAST as I send emails and new contacts are captured in Google Contacts, they are still being synched with Hubspot. Now that I've written this review, I will uninstall this extension again.
• (2023-02-28) Mathieu Simard: If this extension was logged in all the time and not ask to log in 10 TIMES A DAY, this would be a great extension to use. Watch out to not ''Sign in with gmail'', otherwise you'll be asked to log in again and again and again and your data will be weirdly tracked. WORST FEELING.

• (2022-07-28) Chris Lukenbill: It does its job most of the time, but the EXTREMELY frustrating part is that it will consistently update the settings on its own to start adding in the email addresses for everyone you email into your sales contacts. It is extremely frustrating but has been a standard issue for as long as I've had it.
• (2022-06-10) Chris Beaman: Janky. It can't send group emails to lots of recipients. It needs a function where if it hangs for whatever reason, it has a timer that sends the email after a few seconds. It's annoying when it breaks and then doesn't send emails.
• (2022-01-11) Simon Schilling: The functionality is very useful… BUT: It is so annoying! It always folds out, even if you do not want. It makes GMail slow, it steals focus and interferes with gmail in a bad ways.
• (2021-12-06) Mark Makdad: Generally, the extension does what it says. However, it significantly slows down my workflow when I want to use keyboard shortcuts. I press "r" to reply to a message, and immediately start typing my message (salespeople should be fast!). Gmail used to keep up with this. After installing this extension, I find that the lag causes Gmail (not the email edit box) to capture my keystrokes for a few seconds. This can be bad, because pressing "m" (say, if the first letter of my email is m) will cause the conversation to mute. From this perspective, I'm not sure how the extension works, but I'd encourage more asynchronous loading that "catches up" as I author the email.

• (2021-11-02) Sabrina Assourian: I've been using this extension for months now, and for the most part it has worked as intended. Today, it has been moody - my Gmail refuses to load in the Chrome browser with the extension enabled. I'm using the browser specifically to utilize this HubSpot addon, so if it's not going to work, I won't use it anymore. Otherwise, the addon is great for tracking and logging records, and cuts down on my administration time, but if it continues to act buggy, I will be removing it.

• (2021-06-11) Sascha Picchiantano: Absolutely terrible implementation into Gmail. It doesn't use Gmail's plugin sidebar but comes with its own interface that overlays over the Gmail UI. If you use other, real sidebar plugins and open the sidebar, the Hubspot plugin UI disappears and is no longer accessible (until you close the Gmail sidebar). To make matters worse, the data inside the plugin doesn't update its data until you reload Gmail. If someone in the team adds new contacts, you don't see them until you reload Gmail. I've seen a lot of bad Gmail plugins but this one is beyond bad.
• (2021-05-24) Bettino Zanini: Recently, whenever you click on an email, it opens an automatic tab with the details of the contact, which reduces considerably the working area from Gmail. Overall, every single colleague of ours is complaining a lot about this new feature. It is terrible!
• (2021-04-22) I don't need to know if I sent an email when I just sent an email. The app says "You sent an email" - yes, I can use HubSpot for that. The extension should alert me when a customer/client opens an email, what they did with that email, did they click on a link, etc.... I don't an alert telling me that I just sent an email. Also, when I open an email string in Gmail on my phone, I get constant alerts that my customer/client opened the email. Nope, it 'twas I that opened the email.

That's how much it sucks and make me feel like an idiot. not only i cant see if the person i sent email to (from Hotmail to gmail) but it tells the gamil that i'm tracking them, it also tells how many times they have read my email. this is madness.

Every email i try to send give's me this big red warning screen Plus before that, in the second that i send an email i get a notification that the email was open, EVERY TIME. this is obviously wrong

• (2021-01-11) Danny Trombley: Overall I actually think this is a very useful extension. Some great features. But there are a couple of pain points I have while using it that are unacceptable. 1. This extension should not require the ability to read my browsing history or any other data that isn't inside of Gmail itself. 2. Every time I open an email from client or go back to review an email I sent, it pops up that it was opened. Pretty frustrating to use and also counts against the amount of tracking we are able to use.
• (2020-12-03) Almira Tria: This app has just invaded my privacy in my personal email, instead of tracking my company email. It was not easy to determined/ configure which of which email is needed to be racked. Now its not working on my company email, but I do not have any plans onusing it for possible data privacy breach in the future.
• (2020-11-26) Dan Murray: The latest update broke some pretty core functionality. So, we use Hubspot a LOT in our business. Even as a small team, it keeps us on the same page. When sending an email to a new contact, previously, hitting the LOG button on the extension created the contact. A great efficiency saving when you're a small business running fast. Now they've added some selective logging functionality (e.g. select which person, deal, etc it gets logged against). However, they've apparently REMOVED the ability to auto-add new contacts. So the workflow would be to log into hubspot separately, create the contact, manually copying and pasting the person's details, then back to gmail to log - oh wait it's not refreshed the contact info - REFRESH gmail, wait for the UI to load, and then log. So a 2sec job now takes minutes. I'm sorry but this is a poor user experience choice, especially when everyone is working extra hard because of the economic turmoil we're all kinda in.

• (2020-09-17) Freddy Saluna, ACSM-CPT, ΔΣΠ: It's great and very helpful when it works and stays logged in. Only problem is, I never how long it's been logged out when it logs out; it's just too much of a hassle to keep logging in.

After that enjoy the links to their FAQ site when you have a support question, my advice is unless your a web developer do your homework. They DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS ONCE YOU SIGN UP and unless you pay for the professional package your dealing with Chatbots

• (2019-11-06) Maketta Wilcoxson: I used to love this especially the email tracking. I didn't even mind paying for it. But, now it alerts every time I only my own messages, it no longer allows me to ignore a device, so any email I work on from an ipad or phone sends a ridiculous amount of alerts. It no longer shows location so I can't even determine which opening is actually mine and which is the recipient. The app has become cluttered forcing me to add sections that just aren't necessary for me... It no longer registers previous mailboxes and replaced it with some weird code. I'm so disappointed with this product and it's something that I actually once really appreciated.
• (2019-10-12) TA: so far, not so good. Every time I want to do something using a part of the CRM system, it pauses 30 seconds, reloads google, then asks for new sign-in info. The GUI is ok, but the details open behind the box. The online videos are good and helped with the import but now the import can't be found. I guess I can expect to spend a lot of itme watching videos but I was hoping it was going to be a solution that knows business already, and we don't want to spend our time watching CRM videos - we want drag and drop functionality. I have a strong feeling hub is going to try to sell me some marketing or sales integration tools later, so I was already skeptical. If the CRM doesn't even help me organize my leads, why am I spending time setting it up again?

• (2019-09-20) Melissa Houston: For the most part I enjoy every aspect of the extension. One thing I have noticed more recently and is increasingly frustrating is that every time I close my Chrome browser, it signs me out completely and almost without fail, I forget and days can go by where my emails aren't being tracked. I rely on this to be accurate as my work often involves time sensitive matters and having the ability to track this information is imperative. I may have to look elsewhere unless this gets fixed promptly.

• (2019-07-02) Dwayne C: Yes, support is horrible and non-existent. Hence why I am here now. My extension is showing new notifications, but when I click on it, it's the same notifications for emails opened earlier this morning, which I've already received notifications for. It's been glitchy for months now, and I pay for this! As of 8-31-2018 I'm not allowed to login. I must remove the plugin and reinstall it each time Chrome is restarted. This thing is an inconsistent joke. As of 09-10-2018 Every time I need to restart my computer or restart Chrome, I must delete the extension and re-install it so it will function properly. Update 7-2-2019: Cannot login and receive "bad gateway" on the login pop-up. I'd contact Hubspot, but what's the point? I'll never hear from them! PLEASE, SOMEDAY, GIVE ME WHAT I PAY FOR!
• (2019-06-28) Mark Bloomfield: Hubspot lies about providing a a free gmail tracking/CRM service via the Chrome extension. This service is NOT FREE. After 200 notifications, they will stop service and blurr your history from viewing and require you upgrade to at least a "starter plan" at $50/month to continue the service and have access to the open/view data you already own. This is clearly a bait and switch tactic and false advertising. Google will be notified of these bad practices given Hubspot markets the services as FREE to get you to download the Hubspot extension and then extorts you for $50 per month to continue using their "free" service. Nope.
