(2025-09-09) I tried a few tools for screen recording, but this ended up being the best. The only limitation being the 5-minute recording limit (on the free version but this can be unlocked with subscription). But I would still recommend

(2025-08-25) This used to be the best Chrome extension for capturing an image. However it is now no longer possible to pause and make sure the selection was done accurately before a new tab is opened with the selected area captured. There is no longer a small onscreen menu offering you the chance to copy or save. Instead, the image opens immediately in a new tab. If your selection missed an area or the webpage moved a little bit, it wastes the capture. Hope this makes sense. How to restore the function with an onscreen menu to approve your "selection" area?
