The most stupid translator I have ever worked with
best extention for us. i am facing few bug please solve it.kindly
This extension is very helpful for me. If it had a Save function to add favorite words to a Saved collection, it would be even better.
i found a bug! but i dont know where to send it...!
terrible
Protects users from advanced malware, phishing and zero-day attacks
Pointless extension. Literally just open the google translate page
Not sure why, but IME input isn't working correctly with this extension.
Can't translate whole pages. Unusable garbage. At least remove the screenshot of the feature which NO LONGER EXISTS.
Doesn't seem to like privacy badger OR privacy badger doesn't seem to like translate. Lot's of trouble with this since the update on 9/5/2025, finally fixed by telling privacy badger to let chrome spy on me. Stupidity.
Does the job, pretty handy
It used to be THE greatest translator out there but Google did a Google and ruined it! In the good ol' days one could highlight any piece of text and the always-handy-never-obtrusive pop-up window offered a quick, accurate translation - with sound an all! Now I'm forced to open a new window, drain RAM (God knows Chrome needs it) and waste some precious seconds doing what should take an instant. I hope whoever thought it was a good move is having a laugh, because I'm not.
i often open my local PDF files using chrome and when i select something to translate, the extension suggest opening a new tab in google translate for the word but there would be no pop-ups(even though i grant access to url files). that would be a huge upgrade if you could just translate on select for local files as well.
I recently started using this translation tool for my website, and let me tell you, it’s been a game changer! As someone who wants to reach a wider audience, having everything in multiple languages was crucial for me. This tool made it incredibly easy to translate my content without losing the essence of my message. What I really love is how user-friendly it is. You don’t need to be a tech whiz to figure it out! I just plug in my text, choose the language, and voilà! The translations come out smooth and natural, which is so important when you're trying to connect with different cultures. Plus, the accuracy was impressive. I’ve tried a few other tools before, but this one really stands out. It keeps the tone just right, which makes my readers feel like the message was crafted just for them, no matter the language. If you’re looking to expand your website’s reach and make it more inclusive, I highly recommend giving this tool a try. It truly feels like having a little piece of magic at your fingertips! I also use in my website https://narratoria.blogspot.com/
This doesn't work anymore because I have a new computer.
It's so much harder to use now. It won't translate the full page but I have to select and wait and it might eventually show me translation on the selected text. If I have to read a full page, this is a lot of work. This plugin is no longer useful.
bad!
It's good, but I prefer TinaMind, an AI-powered translation extension with superior capabilities.
tank you
it would be great if you could add an option in context menu; right now i have to move my mouse to the top-right corner to use this extension.
doesn't work anymore
Extension in Chrome only translates selected words. Does not translate the entire webpage.
giving it a low rating because the websites are rarely translated
best of the best code maintains
You can't change pronunciation in this extension. I have British by default. I need American. I can't change it 😡
One star because Google
unusable in 2025
Just a reminder that this extension is no longer supported by google as they move it to Chrome itself. Please like to that others are aware.
Doesn't support RTL
Opened PDF file in Google Chrome browser. This extension does not translate text from PDF file as a pop-up window.
first it highly help to review the words. second it correct paragraph logically, third it correct spelling it gives alternative words in the text it create meaningful sentences in the text to the readers
> select Japanese texts > extension sees it as English > translating English to English ???
good
Great
For translation scenarios, I highly recommend TinaMind, it's a great extension.
"Page translation is built in to Chrome" But i am not using Chrome 😆 and this extension is hereby useless
When I secondary click on a text and hit "Translate", it just opens Google Translate in a new tab. I expected it to be a popup within the same context of the page. But when I hit the extension icon at the toolbar, it DOES open a popup. But there's no option to configure it to always do the popover.
ok
Comes in handy, but doesn't always work at times.
since the feature where I can translate a whole page, this extension has been useless to me, built in translator is so unreliable, bring back the "translate page" button.
. AMAZING TOOL Great...
Great
useless
If somebody else missing the old whole page translate: There is a beta release of TWP translate (famous on Firefox) released on Chrome. It's open source. Search for "github Traduzir-paginas-web releases" to find the Chrome store link.
What happened?! Earlier this year you removed the page translation button because you said it was "built into Chrome" when it wasn't. Now it can't even automatically detect the language of any text I paste in; it always just defaults to English, even if the text uses a non-Latin script such as Chinese. Google, you just keep getting worse and worse by the second. I can't believe this is happening. You're dropping your carbon neutral pledge for, what, AI? That thing that can't even properly answer simple questions?
While this extension works, the Web Store page for it has false advertising because even though the thumbnails show that the extension can translate whole pages, the extension cannot do that anymore because Google replaced the feature with text saying "Page translation is built into Chrome", with a link to learn more about Chrome's extra translation features. As a result, it can now only translate words or sentences from a page.
As someone who frequently encounters French text, whether it's for travel, work, or just trying to understand a recipe, Google Translate has become an indispensable tool in my daily life. And when it comes to French to English translations, it truly shines, earning every single one of its five stars. The accuracy is consistently impressive. I've used it for everything from quick phrases to entire articles, and it almost always provides a natural-sounding and contextually appropriate translation. Of course, no machine translation is perfect, but Google Translate gets remarkably close, especially with common idioms and nuances that other tools often miss. It's incredibly reliable for getting the gist of a conversation or document, and often, it's spot-on even with more complex sentences. What truly sets it apart is its versatility and ease of use. I can type, speak, or even use my camera to translate text on the fly. The camera translation feature, in particular, is pure magic when you're staring at a French menu or a street sign and need an instant understanding. The speed at which it processes translations is also fantastic – there's virtually no waiting time, making it ideal for real-time communication. For anyone needing to bridge the language gap between French and English, whether you're a student, a traveler, a professional, or just curious, Google Translate is the gold standard. It's intuitive, powerful, and incredibly effective. It has saved me countless times from confusion and has opened up so many opportunities for understanding and connecting. Highly, highly recommend!
Where is the side panel. Why its just show little pop up who doesnt usefull. what is the purpose of this if it doesn't even help
generally great, but sometimes it stop working on my edge browser, especially for long sentences.
